Now that it's over, I think I can safely open this topic.
My opinion? Pure, unadulturated awesomeness. Best Season so far, especially concerning visuals (I'm a visual kinda girl, what can I say?). I agree that the ending was aggravating, but as I stated a few times now, a bad ending doesn't make a bad story. Season 4 provided us with a lot; colorful visuals, awesome character design for everybody (Even the re-appearing nameless costumers looked cool (Go Pink!Stormy!)) a beautiful transformation, a new girl who, with some flaws, I really like, truly menacing villains who actually got some development besides 'We're evil' (I truly felt sorry for Duman at the end). And the fairies of Earth actually becoming an enemy.....LAYLA actually becoming an enemy for a very, very good reason, some of the best twists I've seen in a show meant for young girls. And while it was aggravating to see it being ruined by sloppy animation, Nabu staying dead is actually kinda good to. It teaches that even in Winx, nothing is forever, and sometimes you need to learn to live with that. It had depth, it tried breaking the Status Quo of Winx (Alfea, Bloom-related villains, Trix appearing) and did so impressively. The only things I REALLY didn't like were the ending and those @$#(* pets.

Its "thoughts"
Anyway, I'll do each half of the season
FIRST HALF It had a really good start. No other season started out with an epic battle that the winx lost within the first 15 mins. The wizards were for all intensive purposes, evil. Developed. Down to Earth. They were not like the Trix who were "muahah we're powerful oh no we ran into a wall" Not like Darkar who lived in a cave and didn't go outside to fight. At all Not like Valtor who started to suffer from depression, although he was good in his own way. They were powerful, ancient, evil, and knew they couldn't be beaten. The plot itself was good and the fight scenes were all unique in their own way, especially episode 7 and 13.
SECOND HALF Garbage. Everything leading up to the story was thrown away. Most of these episodes were fillers, and the earth fairies were generic baddies-of-the-weak who turned out to be good. The ending was rushed, and it really did seem like a whole other team of writers were called in to do the second half. Because it was rubbage

Hmm... how to describe season 4...
I definitely could have done without the pets and the pet store... That and the band they put together.... I mean, really, there are six girls in the Winx Club (excluding Roxy) - what are the chances that all of them have musical talent? Slim and none, really. But in a perfect world like Winx Club...
That, and the finale was a letdown. After episode 24, I was really expecting something just spectacular to tie it all up... but it really was just a "meh, I could have done without seeing that" kind of episode. I mean, from what I've heard, they're staying on Earth because, supposedly, their dreams are there. Honestly? All six of them unanimously want to stay on Earth? Bleh... that's another thing that's hard to believe.
I also wasn't and still am not the fondest of Roxy... at all...
Although, this season was monumental compared to the others, as there were plots that were simply unheard of before: such as the two character deaths... Definitely didn't see that coming... That and all of the different transformations crammed into one season... (not necessarily a bad thing, though.)
Overall, it's not my favorite season, I honestly do not know how I feel about it... there are some episodes that I enjoyed, but the whole season... I really don't know. I think I liked seasons 1,2, and 3 better.

pros: The wizards attacking bloom thinking shes an earth fairy was a good way to open the story to find the earth fairies.
The wizards are awesome villains.
It was interesting to see them living like real girls, getting real jobs, opening a business, moving out, painting their house, going out to bars ( a nice change from alphea)
While not a big fan of the pets, it was a smart way to spread magic with magic pets and make money and get connected to people around them.
I like the music and animation, plus incorperating the concert songs.
It was nice to see some relationship building with Layla and Nabu *sulk* they loved each other and got engaged *sighs*, have a bit of drama with bloom and stella.
Musa and Riven fighting: showed they are still a couple and still individual people with social and sensitive issues. Theyre human, they make mistakes. And I think Nabu dieing at the end helped Riven (I hope) realise that Layla and Nabu had a wonderful thing, and instead of enjoying that himself he was to busy acting like he doesnt care and being jealous. Now I think in Nabus memory he will try to be a good boyfriend and be more thankful for musa.
Musa getting to Sing and persue her dream of being a singer/musician.
Roxy: I really like her character. Shes unique and likeable.
I like how Bloom still has her close relationship with her parents and calls them mom and dad.
I like the believix Costumes and transformations. Song was pretty catchy.
I like how just because they got their new powers they werent suddenly invincible and had to get stronger over time to fight the wizards still.
I like speedix, etc wings, they were a unique ability. I also like how their power had to do with them personally and not just their magic source.
I like How roxy was afraid of the white circle and her powers. You could actually watch her grow through the season.
I like how the fairies wanted revenge and for part of the season became their enemies (good twist)
I did like seeing the nature and winter costumes...
Throwing Roxy, Nebula and others around was fun. Hands on fighting wins points.
The wiazrds plan to play innocent (if pulled off a little to easily) Was a good idea
They killed Nabu. Oops.
Winx vs Winx
cons: They had huge timeline problems for when exactly fairies disapeared from earth
They had a lot of filler episodes where they did little or nothing to contribute to the plot or character decelopment
The characters lost some of their individuality once they reached earth and didnt always seem themselves
The wizards were defeated way to easily and it makes you wonder why all the fairies in the magical universe couldnt have just done this themselves sooner instead of sending young girls. Maybe they didnt care and were lazy? I dont know. It seems a bit far fetched to consider the winx the MOST powerful guardians in the magical universe
If they want people to believe in them why did they lie abotu being fairies and pretend they were actors. Just come out with it. The wizards knew where they lived and worked so its not like they were hiding something.
The LOVE AND PET them song makes we want to go Hulk Mad and destroy things. Gets stuck in my head all day.
The variety in animation could be interesting but was also annoying and somewhat unnessessary.
Would be interesting to see a bit more of what was going on in Flora's and Tecnas world. At Work, fighting, hug boyfriend, say one thing, maybe two. I learned so much (>_<)
Bloom can be friends with andy but she doesnt need to be so touchy feely. No where to draw the line with a guy friend if its bugging your boy. Dont be selfish and say hes my friend I can do what I want. If he made friends with diaspro and gave her a kiss on the cheek good bye im sure bloom wouldnt be comfortable. if she is great, but if not, be respectful and keep it to hugs.
Musa and Riven Fighting: God are they still fighting? its been like four years, if you cant mesh, you cant mesh. If I was Musa, i'd be like screw this, Im out. Some people don't change. This is getting old.
The Band: Ok I can agree and see it being publicity for the Concert DVD and dolls, but no one forms a band that fast, and while i like their outfits, rockstars doesnt suit the winx in my opinion. I believe that should be all Musa's turf, and it should be her singing for Andy's band that gets the contract. She has a band, musa gets the music spot light and gets her dream. Besides personally i dont think she was contributing to much to Love and Pet anyways. Flora was taking care of medical, Stella grooming, Layla exercise and training, Tecna advertising and the website, Bloom managing and selling products. Musa played the flute. it couldnt hurt but they could do with out, the winx dont have to do everything together. The five of them have their business and Musa gets to have her music career.
Roxy: If she is the 7th winx, Im sorry, I still dont want that. A character that may appear and help again, sure. A friend of the winx. Sure. If a few seasons down the road she becomes a winx, I might be ok with that. But for some reason I still have a problem with her joining just yet. Oh, and shes a princess. Who didnt see that one coming.
It would have been nice to hear something about Domino. Or the other peoples planets. Though points for Sky's dad.
Once they started beating the wizards the fights were alot shorter. They started spending less time on teh fights and the mission and more on doing nothing in particular.
They didnt seem to have that hard of a time suddenly discovering how to release the fairies.
Theyre a bit slower to react in battle this time then they were in past seasons. i.e. Tecna and the spider, Bloom flying away with the ice guy instead of blasting him off.
I love Diana and Aurora but to be honest these episodes were kind of useless to the story apart from showing them taking revenge. They kind of went out of their way, transformed for a bit, and came back. I didnt find this entirely necessary. Or at least the new t ransformations Sophix and Lovix seemed usueless. Going to stop the Earth and Ice ladies from taking their revenge was actually kind of good.
They trusted the Wizards way to easily. The fairy of justice while unique was a bit pointless as well.
How Riven and Musa got back together confuses me. It just sort of happened.
Sending Nabu into the castle alone was a bad plan.
The specialists seemed a bit more trouble then help at times.
Morgana giving up her crown was a bit odd, and how she met Klaus confused me as well.
Im sure Nebula was a good person but I think she should have passed the crown to Aurora or Diana or someone else just to play it safe.
The wizards were again defeated a little easily.
They Killed Nabu *Sulk* poor Aisha
Aisha got over Nabu? Wha?
We were shown pets and concerts and ponintless things instead of what happened after Nabu's death.
It just ended. Thats it

I actually really liked it. Sure, the finale wasn't that great, but it was probably my second favourite season.
Pros:
I loved the Wizards. Best. Villains. EVER. Especially Ogron. He had some class. Plus, the scene where he killed Nabu was absolutely brilliant. I'm glad Nabu actually had a decent death scene.
Andy's Band. It was about time we got some new guys on the show. Making Andy Bloom's Ex made it all the more interesting. I just wish they had done more with that.
Riven groveling. That was possibly one of my favourite Winx Club moments of all time.
Stella and Brandon fighting. For once, it wasn't just Musa and Riven, which was nice.
Musa and Riven didn't break up for good! Yaaay! Yes, though many of you wanted them to call it quits, I'm very, very pro Musa and Riven and am so, so glad they're still together.
I loved how Musa got to sing and live out her dreams. She hasn't sung since season 2, and I think it about time.
The Earth Fairies were epic! I only wish we'd have had more with them. Well, minus Morgana and Nebula. I defiantly got my fill of them.
The music in this season was awesome. Believix and Sophix had the best transformation music we've seen thus far.
Killing Nabu. I truly think it was a pro. Without killing him, several plots wouldn't have happened (Layla becoming an enemy for example). Also, it showed that Rainbow has some guts, which I really admire.
Jason Queen. I thought he was an extremely interesting twist in Musa and Riven's relationship. Then, when they married him off, it became even more interesting. Therefore, Jason receives full merits for his performance in season 4.
Cons:
Love and Pet. I'll um...I'll just leave it at that. I'm not in a ranting mood.
The Winx Band. I wish they'd just leave the singing to Musa. Why couldn't she have had her own thing for once!? Even in season 2, they just had to have Stella sing too.
I wish the specialists had developed more as characters. Timmy barely had any screen time at all.
Helia's hair cut. Again, I'm not in the mood to rant...
What happened to the pixies? It seemed there was a missing plot with them. The Winx just left them in Magix, and I was expecting them to have more of a plot.
Roxy. She totally just barged in and stole the spotlight. She had an extremely bland personality in my opinion, and basically was Bloom only 10 times more annoying.
The Wizards were defeated way, way, waaaaaaay too easily.
The Love and Pet montage in the finale. Seriously, they could have used that time to, gee, I don't know....SHOW WHAT LAYLA WAS DOING WITH THE FLOWER?!?!
They're staying on Earth? Uh, what?

ok, lets see.
Likes: Innovations, like new characters and pets . Roxy, i think, was the creators' best season idea, exept for the fact that she is to close to Bloom by some aspects (kind of creepy). The Wizards- indeed, making impression of true villians. But dont you think that dieing in icecone is too easy? Come one, they deserve something better. But the finall battle was pretty good. Too much other characters, and i don't have much time... Nabu's death: sad, but my belief in real twists is renewed, that kind of event in a cartoon... i would never belive if i didn't see it^^ Dislikes: as it was written above, it looks like first and second parts of the season were written by different writer's teams. Whole population of fairies becoming good after being evil, another princess in winx party etc.- lame, my friends.

First Half:
Good Start. Stella And Brandon, Musa and Riven got a fall off. more romance and cameros between Nabu and Layla, cute pets, and nice believix.
Second Half:
Rubbish, I might as well throw these into the dustbin. Nabu's death, well it's an unexpected twist. It's okay but I felt really sad for Layla. And hell yeah, the wizards' death are too easy. It's like come on, after a big one round this is their ending? Come on Straffi, you can do better.

overall thoughts eh? I cried when Nabu died. I was sorely dissapointed with that part of the season and Roxy aggravated me to no end. Liked it though, I just wish Nabu was still alive. If it's a kids show (it's supposed to be right?) how can they kill off a character that was just introduced in season three? They haven't killed off any of the major baddies as of yet, instead they punish them and stuff. And the trix keep coming back, so my hope for season 5 (if there is one) or the second movie, is that Nabu somehow comes back to life and everything is good again. Other than that I thought the visuals were great and the plot had much more to it than previous chapters. It was more complete this season than in previous seasons. And I still want to know when Bloom and Sky get married cause at the end of the first movie he proposed didn't he? So I'm waiting for that to come, that will make up for the death of Nabu, sorta.
