Favorite Winx Couples, Come in and Feel the ♥ Options

I care about all of the characters, and the couples part is just a bonus. But if there were no couples I'd still watch the show. I like each character on their own terms as well.

Do you think Roxy will get a boy this season?

Eh, personally, I think she will eventually get a boyfriend, (if not have one already when the Winx meet her.) Just look at Layla. They portrayed her character to be a feminist who was more than happy being independent, and yet, they not only gave her a boyfriend, they gave her a husband. o-O

Plus, they have made sure that each female main character has a boyfriend. If one is single, it doesn't last long (ex: Flora and Layla...). Being part of the Winx Club and not having a boyfriend seems to be unheard of.


By all means, though, I am hoping she (Roxy) doesn't acquire a boyfriend (if she doesn't already have one)... I think it would be better that way. It would be nice to see at least one "member" who is single.

(If only Layla had remained independent. Giving her a husband/fiancé just ruined her character if you ask me)

It's one of the reasons I don't care much for the canon couples. Nothing against the characters, nor most of the relations but sometimes it feels so contrived.....

Do you think if we didn't have set couples almost from the get go the Winx Club fandom would actually have shipping wars? I know Winx isn't the biggest fandom but it isn't all that small either. Shipping wars can get nasty.

If Winx had shipping wars I would cry forever. Seriously. Sometimes they're hilarious, but mostly they're just depressing.

For some reason, I don't think it's out of the question that Roxy will be single, but there is a pretty big chance that that won't be the case :/ Like it's been said before, Winx seems to feel the need to have everybody paired off because I guess being single means you aren't cool or interesting enough to be in a show or something.

It is realistic for people in their teens/early 20s to date...otherwise you won't get to know who you like, and I'm assuming these characters do want a family of their own sometime later in their life. So, while I don't think Roxy necessarily needs a boyfriend, I'm not adverse to the idea of her dating, or having dated before. I don't feel the need to set her up with a stable boyfriend right off the bat or even by the end of the series.

Luckily, we haven't. There was a risk, when Flora/Helia won an official poll, and there was some clashing at livejournal, but that ended with a fizzle. And I once had a slight argument with someone who believed Winx slash was icky.... let's not get into that.

I'm thinking yes. But personally, I don't want her to have a boyfriend because that probably means we're not going to see as much of our friends the specialists.

i think it is 50:50 in my mind she may do but as she is a fairy she may leave earth and go to some where like alfea so she may not bother as she may not come back as it may be another bloom sanario

Well since the winx have intergalactic travel with those ships having a boyfriend anywhere in the universe isnt a problem.

As much as I enjoy the couples and am happy to see them happily in love because I love romance, I agree that some one should break up or meet someone new or stay single. It was almost like they felt obligated to give Layla a boyfriend for more then one reason. But in Italy weddings are still huge important days, not as much in some places anymore, and Giovani's generation still grew up with the idea that all girls dream of their wedding day. Marriage has been priority for so long that even when it wasnt starting like 100 years ago (when women were self sufficient even if most were high class prostitutes but they couldnt easily get another job) it was still tradition because growing up kids are always told one day you'll get married and have a family. Nevermind happily single people who's parents bother them about starting their own family (we had a huge class argument in philosophy) Apparently statistics (in north america) 1/3 of people prefer to stay single, and 50% of marriages now end in divorce. There is nothing wrong with marriage, my parents are still going strong and when I see it I want it for myself but the problem we were pointing out is that marriage is made out to be how someone can be happy. Marriage and commitment isnt for everyone and people are perfectly cabable with being happy to live on their own. I think thats what made a big upheavle when that Sex and the City movie came out (never saw it) the show started off with all or some of the women being happy and successful singles, making a stand for women, but the movie everyone was depressed because they were still single or something and people were like it contradicts or whatever.

Anyways, I think its just they always show it kids shows because they think kids want to see people ending up together happily ever after because thats what makes people happy (which it does) but then it does the opposite where if someone doesnt end up with someone then its not happy. Hunchback of notre dam? He had a crappy situatuion, he didnt get the girl but he came out an accepted hero at the end. Thats still good. But no they had to make a crappy sequel about him finding a girl to marry. Not that you dont want him to find love but its like they just cant leave it alone where finding love = happiness isnt the moral of the story

If they find love great, but they shouldnt all have to. Can't we assume since theyre young they will potentially meet someone at some point if not during the show. I like how they had musa and riven as a relationship with trust issues instead of happily "its so perfect." Even Timmy and Techna had their spat where Tecna didnt want to be with a coward because she misunderstood timmys actions. I suppose they all had little things, time issues with B/S in season 2

I honesty like all the couples, but Brandon X Stella, Bloom X Sky are on my top favorite lists. I admit that I dislike Sky, but in season 2 I was kinda moved by their love. The scene after Sky saves Bloom, and I can't believe that I got moved by Sky while he's talking to Bloom. A quote which makes me remember:

That day you've saved my life, I wanted to tell you my feelings. And then, I've made a promise to myself, that one day I'll save you.

I care more about you than anyone else do, please Bloom, please..... *Shed his first tear*

But then, the quote of "I care more......" is actually fake =.=" *recalled season 3, episode 8*

Anyway, speaking of the both of them I've actually found 2 pictures. Bloom and Sky have couple face, that explains that why Bloom dumped Andy xD
