My local high school recently performed "Guys and Dolls" which was very funny. Oh, and I saw Wicked for a second time. Still rocks.
Did you guys hear? Wicked is ending its tour in the states! I think it's been running for... uh... five years. *sob* and what a Wicked five years it's been!

{They'll still be playing it in Chicago and New York and LA, right?}
My favorites are: Wicked {OMG no really?} Wizard of Oz {seen it multiple times at the Muny} Kiss Me Kate {At the St. Louis Rep}
I just realized how many musical places we have here. There's the Rep, the Muny, the Fox, the 3 theaters at SLU, the one at Mizzou, and...a few more...

I live quite a bit away from any big city, but I'm really not sure if Wicked will be playing anymore at all. If the tour's ended, that means that the musical goes into "DA VAULT" and gets processed so it can eventually become a show that high schools can perform and so on. And then maybe they'll revive it in like, ten years or so.
In other words, I have no clue. I just heard it was ending its run. It's still a bit disappointing, considering I ONLY saw it twice. *LOL*

xD I've seen it twice as well, here, and in Chicago. The good thing about only being 1 hour planeflight, counting groundtime, or 5 hour drive away from Chicago is that I can go see it with my mom whenever we feel like splurging and/or shopping in Chicago, since she likes it too. But I am still firm on my belief that it doesn't matter where and/or who plays it, whoever gets in as Fiyero is hot. {I have a list of my favorite Fiyero's...top 3, top 5...xD} But anyone seen Kiss Me Kate? I love the music in it! *xD my newest favorite place for music on the 'net plays nothing but music from musicals.*

I have only seen Wicked once in Chicago (I could have seen it this winter when it came to Cleveland, but I thought, nahh I'm seeing it in Chicago so why see it here? I should have seen it though! Considering the tour is ending now ) I can't wait until this coming season though! Legally Blonde is coming here, so is Spring Awakening (I have been DYING to see that one!) and next summer Mary Poppins is coming! Also in August Mamma Mia is coming here, I hope my mom gets tickets soon because I really want to see it!

I also want to see Sweeney Todd, I loved the movie, so I would probably also like the Stage production. I also agree about Fiyero being hot (except I really don't think Norbert leo Burtz, or whoever was the first fiyero, was hot at all) The guy who played him while I was in chicago and saw it (Michael Seelbach) was really hot, and you could tell it from his voice and from the high up balcony seat I was in! *pulls out playbill and stares at picture and drools*

I want to see Wicked as well. The other day I saw some people perform the song "If I knew you" (I think that's what it's called) on a morning show. It was sooo beautiful.

I saw it last night. It was faaaaaaantastic. One of my favourite musicals(along with Phantom of course)and as I said on the song I'm listening to thread, I dare say the Aussie cast are one of the best(Glinda and Elphaba mostly, not Bert Newton, Rob Guest[R.I.P] was great though[just judging by tape, too]). Of course, my opinion is a little biased . BTW that song would've been 'For Good'
