At first, yes. At first it was more "The Adventures of Yugi and this Psychotic Spirit that possesses him and kills lots of people".

It got toned down and focused nearly exclusively on the cards after awhile.

Oh, and the Ancient Egyptian Laser Beams ™. Can't forget the Ancient Egyptian Laser Beams ™.

So really nothing new much, just updating to say that they've scheduled the Huntik to appear on CW4Kids Network specifically on Saturday January 3rd, 2009. At least, they say January 3rd now. Who knows how many days/weeks/aeons it might be moved back.

Also, Huntik received the MipCom Junior Licensing Award (out of 84 other children's shows). I'd say that's pretty good, maybe even impressive. I'm not sure, I don't make cartoons =P. But it does raise its possibility of being a promising series.

Huntik will be another show which will be messed up by 4kids (No offence) But surprised, I've noticed that they seems to used RAI ENG theme song for the opening.

And yea, I'm dumping Brandon for the guys in huntik now xD jkjk^^

I'm supposed that winx club is created by those basics digital art, so that's why it looks kinda crappy =P But now, technology have improved. So of course, huntik will be obviously better.

Lok and Dante are just sooo cute! Gs, Straffi you're making me a playgirl xD

Wow, honestly, that opening just earned more points for the show. I actually really liked the rock anthem feel of the song (very happy it's the Rai song too). And from watching more of the animation I'm of a mind to say it looks really good. There are lots of frames per second when the characters move and fight and they don't look under-detailed either. Now I'm just waiting to see how the storyline plays out since that's what really counts.

Mmmm...I don't know. Right now, I don't have the most open mind, but then again, at first, I didn't like many of the shows I love now (6teen, TDI...) So I think I'll have to give it SOMEWHAT of a chance. After all, Riven came out of Straffi's brain, and who knows? Maybe I'll have a new Riven type character in that mix of all this...

I gave Huntik a trial run, and while I love the animation styling, there is something lacking in the show. I don't want to ruin anyone's first impression of the series, so maybe someone else can watch a few episodes and write out their feelings regarding plot, characters, battle styles, etc. I'm willing to be influenced by someone else's opinions. =)

I'm not sure and this is probably crazy talk, but I'm betting at least part of the reason we're getting season 4 of Winx is because Huntik was not as successful as Straffi had hoped.

I watch the Finnish dub it's nice, the show is well worth watching it has action. It's like pokemon with the trainers fighting too lol well not quite... but it's good i would rate the show 8.5/10

the Finnish version is at episode 8 if i remember right so it has been out for atleast 8 weeks and that means.... about 2 months O_O here in Finland, but i don't know about other countries.

The English dub first aired in North America in the beginning of January 2009. They've been playing it on the CW for a while now. I think they are in around episode 15 right now?
