The trick to lying, is 1) Make eye contact, 2) Don't twiddle your thumbs or do any gestures, 3) DON'T LAUGH, 4) Don't blush, 5) Don't sweat (its mucho gross!), 6) Seem sincere, 7) Avoid using, she, he, etc, use the occasional "I" statement so it won't be suspicious. xD Make your emotions realistic, if you're trying to smile, don't round the corners of your mouth, try to smile naturally, 'cause people will know its fake. Hope this helps!

Hope this helps! What I can't do is not laughing or smiling. I just can't. I one time was almost going to be dishonest when I saw that I got a 100% on a certain difficult test but when I went through the answers, I found there was one question wrong. In the end, I told on myself anyways and said bye to my 100. =.=

QUOTE (bloom_daphne @ Mar 10 2009, 05:03 AM) Wow...lying is not that hard, for me its almost compulsive, I think I lie or make up stuff about 50x a day, but that's where it gets tricky because keeping track of what you've said is kinda hard. Seriously?? That's not a very good habit. (Well, it does depend what you're fibbing about. If it's something small, then it might not be a huge deal.) I personally try not to lie that much... But when I do, I lie when I want an excuse to not do something (like not going on a date...) For example: I lied to someone saying that I have a boyfriend (I don't) and that he wouldn't like it if I went on a date. I did feel just awful after saying that, though... or maybe it was the angry call I received from the person wanting to go on that date after he received that text message.... Whoops!

QUOTE (Tom273 @ Mar 12 2009, 11:32 AM) I rarely lie and when i do the things i lie about are minor ones. I can't lie to my family or my friends without feeling bad... Same here. My conscience is rather loud when it comes to being moralistic. lol

That's why it takes me forever to make a decision in some cases: should I lie, or not? (When it comes to "bigger" lies. Not the little fibs I use for excuses) Like... (Take note that I'm 16): Me: One ticket to 'Role Models' please. Guy behind the counter at the theater: How old are you? Me: Errrmm... *pause* 17. Guy: That will be *insert dollar amount here*. Enjoy your movie Me: *whew* (While my 17 and 18 year old friends are laughing behind me, making it apparent that I had lied to the guy.)
