Apparently, we have a massive DNS cache problem with Cloudflare just now and I'm still trying to find the root cause of it. So don't be surprise if you encounter it which is a completely different unrelated problem with Cloudflare's error message "Website is Offline"

We have been modifying the server config these past few weeks. Both intentionally and unintended ones. If you were have problems yesterday, than it was expected because we were also doing some changes and goofed a bit which took time to diagnose.

@p-girl
Forget what happened previously and start monitoring MC now instead, does the problem still persist?

I have a question too...

Dear fellow Moderator,

If lets said, I wanted to edit my post. Where is the edit button? I don't see anyway....Dumb question?! Oh yes, just wondering where it is? Or suggest it could be added if I wish to edit my post and etc.

QUOTE (mightymarty2 @ Dec 8 2012, 02:43 AM) *
I think if I remember rightly that feature is only available to members and not new members

Wow since when the last time that I posted here . . .

Just for clarification, "New Members" user groups are not allow to edit own post until they are promoted to "Members" user group after account has 25 posts. It was originally implemented as a spam prevention mechanism.

We have moved to a new server on October 15, 2012. The server began full operations at 10.00am (EST)
So do report if any problems that occurred after the server migration.

For your personal enjoyment, here's the uptime status report http://magixclub.com/status

hosting MC is fine on my side icon_razz.gif but just renewing the domain name is another.

edit: I notice today marks mc's 4 year existence (counting from it closed testing forum stage & earlier if we were to count mc's simpler beginning with sharing the site with another website)

like wise. as all the original founding members are gone & most of the administrative users MIA. It was only a matter of time anyway. I think MC bloomed during the Winx's peak but now, most of the members have already move on. On the other note, I dont even know how long will I continue to pay the bill.

Hi there and thank you for reading this,

I bet some of you have notice MC is going up and down these past month which is both annoying you and me. Therefore, I have decide to do some changes to the site while testing some new stuff along the way. Because of that, I think you might experience some more downtime while we are trying to get the new stuff up and running. This should only last not more than a day or two. Further announcement later on.

Thank you

Update (Feb 15) : Initial trial looks fine but I guess I just have to say it will involve MC moving to another webhost in the process.

Update (Feb 16) :
I'm happy to announce that MC has completely its server migration (again =.=") but some of MC's feature are disable for the time being as we are waiting for the DNS prorogation to fully take effect before we re-enable the features back.

If you experiencing extreme slowest than before the upgrade than it maybe you that haven't been pointed to the new server. Don't worry you can visit the new server through this temporary link http://alfea.magixclub.com/forums/index.php? The link will be available until the 101% completion of the migration of the site.

Hopefully with this upgrade MC can serve the forum faster than before and significantly reduce downtime that we have with our previous webhost.

We will continue to monitor the current situation but do contact us if you notice any bugs/issue.

Thank you very much

Update (Feb 17) :
All of MC's previous feature capability has been restored back after the site migration.

Sorry everyone. Our webhost is experiencing a lot of technical difficulty where the CPU usage was too high and cause a lot.. i mean a lot of downtime. Literally, the server has to be manually force restart by the webhost to recover it. The cause was too many hit was on the server as we are a share hosting(we share server with multiple site) and a accumulation of multiple high CPU usage site cause it. Its not the first time we encounter this, actually last time our old webhost kick us away because we use too much cpu. But this time, we have been working with our webhost and they offer us to their high spec server. I personally hope this will solve MC's problem.

Welcome fairies, pixies, witches, warlocks, specialists and magical beings of any kind,

I would like to open a voting session for all members to vote for your favorite person to be the next honor member. Cast your vote now. The poll will end in November.
To make this more interesting, I won't tell you the conditions required to be voted as a honor member, it maybe the top 5 most voted, or anyone will a certain amount of votes, or user activity or member votes and comments or anything you can think of.

Note: The 20 candidates are picked based on the top 20 posters. I'm sorry if someone else is more preferable and he/her is not in the list but the next session will have candidates pick by you. So cast your vote, comment why you pick him/her and pick your next candidate up for voting. ^.^

i also was guessing it real or not... but after viewing the original files clearly. It was very clear that the email come from Rainbow server themself. Reason [a bit tech geek talk] the email header can contain a lot of useful info
