I think it's like so many other fantasies that I've read about. Earth may at one time have been full of magic, but the world could have been domesticated, modernized, and industrialized so much that it grew away from its need for magic. Hence, no more magic people. Almost like they lost touch with their "roots." But that's just one theory that Straffi could use to explain why Earth is no longer magical. Geez, where now have I read stories like this? *whaps head to brainstorm*...can't remember, ahh well.

I think that Tecna should have recieved at least half of that attention. We've seen the family members of every other Winx girl, and we wouldn't even know that Tecna was from Zenith, if the official site hadn't mentioned it, because she's never said anything about her home planet in the show (in the RAI version of it, at least).

Ah man, don't get me started there xD. I get super headaches whenever I rant about how unfair Tecna's character has been under-appreciated. I could probably rant for at least an hour =P.

Maybe she'll be developed in this fabled "fourth season" or perhaps a sequel to the movie? Although I'd say that a fourth season was a pretty obtuse hope. I'd bank more on her part enlarging in a movie. And I'd like to see that. Tecna was the only logic-based character on the show. She, like Icy, used her mind. That's pretty cool.

I agree with your comment on her voice. Tecna's 4kids season 3 voice was really annoying in my opinion...
I've also heard the Rai version of her voice and must admit that I don't think that fits her either. Personally, I think a British accent fits her well, (preferably her season 1/2 voice actress) But that's just me.

I'm with Zhanneel with where I stand on Tecna's situation in the series (not being shown as much, etc.) I don't think I'll go into my opinions on that (I'll spare you all). I do think, though, that the reason she's not shown much has something to do with her popularity, (check out the old poll results on winxclub.com... it's just sad.) But I also think that if she was brought out more in the series, she could become a more likable (for lack of a better word) character to those who don't like her (it's hard for some to like a character who just stands to the side the majority of the time. Silly writers... though I thank them for giving her a large part of season three... even if the majority of it was, again, Bloom.)

Go figure; I ended up posting too much anyway. ^_^ I'll shush now lol.

I agree with you Boo. Especially if the show is targeted at younger kids, they will like the characters that are shown more. I just watched the last half of season two over the past week, and I realized that half the episodes (when they go to earth or other small stuff like that) Tecna usually isn't involved. There were at least 2 episodes when she wasn't show in them at all.

To put myself at ease I just emailed like 3 or 4 people from Rainbow telling them I wanted them to develop Tecna's character and put fair emphasis on her in the cartoon (or movie). I also mentioned writing more on Flora's background, though she does already have quite a few of her own moments in the show. I have serious doubts about them responding, but hey, at least they might read it. Maybe if more people write to them too they may actually consider it?

Hopefully they would listen to some of the fans suggestions and at least do one episode or something about Tecna and Flora or even the boys! I want to know their history, or even the witches, like when they were little or something!

yea.. i don't think flora can be argentina. more like venezuela or costa rica. costa rica is the peaceful hispanic country of all. so flora is better from there.
layla seems to mostly from brazil, since she loves dancing. and brazil is best known for the awesome dances and parties.
i wish we knew more about flora and tecna. and why do the comic have to be so different?!
i can't really see tecna being royalty.
musa's dad seems a bit asian. you don't think all asian people look asian. sometimes they look hispanic. kids here get us confused, its really annoying! they all think i'm asian. and i'm not.

lol, I actually know what you mean about Spanish people looking Aisan and to an even more confusing extent, Indian. I've seen some people who look like a totally different race, but then I look at their kids or family members with them and I do a double take. When I first met my best friend I thought he was Spanish, but then I found out he was Indian (actually, Guyanese Indian). Then you have people like Tiger Woods, who come out looking like a wonderful mix of races. All in all, it's confusing but it makes you think twice before you judge where someone comes from.

And as for giving the guys more screen time and development I totally agree. Maybe after Tecna and Flora, but I would find it very interesting and beneficial for the fans if they did--especially Timmy, Riven, and Nabu. I know it was late on in meeting him, but I want to know more about Nabu's profession, as magicians weren't touched upon very much in season 3. And if they give the pixies more airtime/development than the specialists/boyfriends then Straffi has serious issues =P.

I think that is a great idea; the more people write to them about the same subject, the better the chances are of them possibly considering it.
I'll write one. I have a lot to say... (I won't be too much like an angry super fan... since Rainbow is the reason Winx is around in a way, so I'll try to be easy on them) *mischievous smile* Just kidding, just kidding.
I think I might write another letter to 4kids while I'm at it... if the fourth season is indeed a reality, and if they want to get their paws on it, I'm going to suggest that they make a few changes.

Ooh, maybe. I was thinking that maybe they might have classes at Red Fountain for that, and we just didn't see them because none of the guys we see on a regular basis in the show are magicians. I mean, 'cause Saladin's a magician, so there's gotta be some sort of class, right?

I might write a letter just asking 4kids if they are going to dub the fourth season, since they said that season three was the last season, maybe they meant it was the last season for them

Wow this is a very interesting thread~ I even saw Tecna's dad. :0 Though I am upset this means she must be a princess if what happens in the comics goes over to the show. We're down to Flora and Musa if this is the case....and that's not cool, there was an even number!
...and I'm also pretty disappointed if Bloom's supposed to be based off of Britney Spears; though as long as she's not blonde I guess it's okay, considering I didn't even see that coming.

and okay, another disappointment (man I'm really angsting here.) Miele. I was hoping to see a cute little 'mini-flora' or something when I heard they showed her. Now, this must mean their parents could be mixed and either she and Flora or just her is mixed, and I have nooo problem with that at all just to make that clear (mixed people in my opinion are the prettiest of allllll) but I think I'm upset because it looks like everybody else in the show is Caucasian; save for Nabu, Aisha and her family, Flora, Musa (and because of the movie, Riven looked asian too, so I want to say him too in a way but that's more of a personal preference)...but off of the top of my head that's about it. Maybe I was just expecting a cute resemblance. but still. (Oh, and please don't think I'm racist against Caucasian people or anything, because I am one. xD) Maybe I just like diversity.

I've heard about that a lot, is it usually the Filipino people, right? Because Spaniards went to the Philippines so they influenced that country, I think.
I just think Musa's dad doesn't look asian in some images, but he really is. I figure if it's hard to tell, but he looks like it sometimes, then he really must be.

Well, in my opinion, Red Fountain teaches the boys to fight with their own non-magical skill, but to use the others' magic to their advantage. Also, they're kinda like bodyguards for the fairies, because Faragonda always sends Specialists along with her fairies on missions, to protect them.
