Blacksad, a comic about a black cat Detective who lives in the furred up Noir version of the 1940/50's of America.

Why doesn't this comic have more popularity? The characters are nicely fleshed out, the art is brilliant (If there was any reason for me to turn furry.... here it is), the main character is as awesome as they come, the writing is intelligent.... and the first book sold immensely. So.... where's the fandom? It's one of the key elements for me to show people that comics (And, to an extent, anthropomorphic animals) can not only be adult and intelligent, but a work of art as well.
I mean.... look at it:

This comic series is as fine as they come, if you see it somewhere, and you're a fan of Film Noir and Detectives, check it out.

And here's to hoping they don't screw up the film project (Yes, it's in the works. As long as they keep it animated, I'm game. The man drawing the comics used to work for Disney and as far as quality goes, it shows (AND that one time they had a Dalmatian character.))
