i think thats down to you. I am no good with relationships seeing as i have never been with anyone but ultimatly i do not see why you cannot be friends even if it goes no further. I think you should jut take it slow and see what happens

If you're "taken" by him you have to start a conversation or else it could be stuck on one place and nothing will change. At least if you'll not get on and stay friends i think you'll be glad anyway, cause the feeling of the ambiguity is the worst thing in the world, belive me, i know.
Try to ask him why he didn't come to that club then. It's all up to you, i think if he is interested in meeting with you futhermore he would be glad to hear from you about anything
