Magix Club's Forum _ Characters _ What Is Your Honest Opinion Of Tecna?

Posted by: Read Jun 23 2008, 12:15 AM

Tecna is my favorite fairy because she is smart, and I think the most exclusive of all the winx girls. What do you think about Tecna?

Posted by: MorriganAensland Jun 23 2008, 2:01 AM

Honestly, I don't like any of the girls that much. They all seem to mainly be one-note characters without much depth. Tecna's whole "science" motif also seems a little unimagined and has more than faint echoes of Sailor Mercury in my opinion.

Posted by: mightymarty2 Jun 23 2008, 5:17 PM

I like techna, I think she is a smart and logical person, who cares for her friends but is not that good socially

Posted by: Zhanneel Jun 23 2008, 5:30 PM

Yar, Tecna is not very sociable, but in a way that's why I love her even more. She has to try very hard to get over her fear of confrontation and the rules of frienship. And I love that she has actually changed through the series to become more agreeable toward the end of season 3.

Besides that, I stand by my old reasonings as well. I admire her love of learning, science, and technology; her (underappreciated) ability to solve problems, especially when Staffi needs a technical solution to a plot problem--where do we always go?; her nerdy qualities *go nerds!*; and even her independent streak and maturity. Her difficult situation with love and romance is also very endearing, as I find it even sweeter when flawed characters find happiness in love and life. So of course I admire Timmy's character just as much as Tecna's ^^.

I like Tecna, I just wish the show would give us more info on her, she is the quiet and reserved one of the group, who we don't know much on. Lately I have been coming up with ideas for a tecna fan fiction since I have yet to write one just about her, and it is hard because we don't know much about her past, or what is going on in her head. We know some about her being sick of Timmy just talking about tecnical stuff, and that she is smart and not afraid to show that, but I really want the show to bring more of her out.

Posted by: humbu111 Jun 23 2008, 8:36 PM

i like the character Tecna alot, she's just not as good as most of the rest and needs more developing (family, realm, etc)

Posted by: terriordx32 Jun 23 2008, 8:41 PM

to me, techna is the token smart person

Posted by: Zhanneel Jun 24 2008, 1:19 AM

icon_wink.gif Bingo on that, maybe just like Sailor Mercury.

Posted by: terriordx32 Jun 24 2008, 4:51 PM

yup i hate to say it but mercury was the token smart one also

Posted by: P-girl Jun 24 2008, 4:58 PM

What's wrong with Token smart characters? I love token smart characters. Tecna, Timmy, Darcy (I think she counts) Garret and Mr. Lee (A.T.O.M.), Bruce Sato and Alex Sector(M.A.S.K.), Otacon (Metal Gear Solid), Ratchet (Transformers), Clamp and Thrann (Galactik football) Bring 'em on. Go Geek Go!

Posted by: terriordx32 Jun 24 2008, 5:06 PM

never said ntn was wrong with them but she would be classifed as one...and i dont think darcy would be the token smart one

Posted by: winxclub101 Jun 24 2008, 7:44 PM

Tecna's not my favorite character but I do like her role in the show and at the fact that she's the smart one of the group like sailor mercury from sailormoon.

Posted by: humbu111 Jun 24 2008, 8:12 PM

tecna rocks!
her digital-themed transformations are pretty cool

Posted by: MorriganAensland Jun 24 2008, 8:43 PM

There's nothing wrong with being a smart person in the story with a lot of statistical information... it's just I like my smart people to be more than one-note characters. My favorite's probably Latooni Subotoa from Super Robot Wars; a child prodigy, capable of having two seperate machines work in perfect synchronization (albeit with a proper operating system), and frighteningly effective in battle for a girl that's only recently getting interested in boys.

Of course, she also has bad memories from the conditioning that MADE her a prodigy, remembers nothing about her life before that, took forever to open up to the other characters until Ryusei stood up for her during battle a bunch of times, and has inherited some of Ryusei's hot-blooded nature.

Posted by: Zhanneel Jun 25 2008, 4:17 PM

Lol, I just saw that same animated gif in your sig, Morrigan when doing a google search a few days back. My favorite: the girl from Lazy Town and the paper bag =P.

Other favorite smart characters: Taranee from W.I.T.C.H. and when I used to watch Code Lyoko I always liked Aelita best. I'm not biased, am I? xD

Posted by: humbu111 Jun 25 2008, 4:44 PM

i likes Izzy best between the humans in the first season of digimon
he was the smart one in the group

Posted by: Zhanneel Jun 25 2008, 7:02 PM

Ditto on Izzy from Digimon. He was also very humble too, more reason I liked his character =). (Happy graduation by the way!)

Posted by: terriordx32 Jun 25 2008, 7:09 PM

i liked izzy, mimi, sora, and matt, from season digimon went down after season 3

Posted by: MorriganAensland Jun 25 2008, 8:25 PM

(Zhanneel, I love that gif with all my heart. Replacing a pair of yakuza thugs playing cards while Sailor Moon transforms is a tall order... but that just blew it away.)

Izzy rocked, simply because he was intelligent, but he still had more going on in his life than just that. The whole sub-plot with him trying to come to grips with the fact he was adopted was well done, and I'm glad it didn't seem too profoundly edited. After all, they kept in the fact that his adoptive parents lost a child as well.

It might not seem like a lot, but there is, or at least WAS, a big deal in Japanese culture, which emphasized a strong bond between birth parents and their children. It also ended up being a subplot in the end of Great Mazinger between Kouji and Tetsuya and the latter's jealousy at the former for being Juzo Kabuto's actual son... and Kouji's jealousy because Tetsuya was actually raised by the man.

I agree. ^_^
*grumbles on amount of attention she gets in the series*

I personally like that Tecna is the smart and mature one of the group... She's not extremely outgoing either; it makes her character seem more realistic. I think it also seems like her character is more so intended for the likes of older viewers rather then younger ones, (but that would be my opinion). Maybe that's why she's my favorite. lol. I like that she isn't a very bubbly character as well. (No one can be carefree and happy all of the time).

Posted by: Abby Jun 27 2008, 3:18 AM

She does seem to be the most realistic of the group (besides her purple hair) since she doesn't always have to be gushing about her boyfriend, and does seem a lot more mature that then rest of the group.

Posted by: Zhanneel Jun 27 2008, 1:08 PM

I'll agree on that. She does seem to be loved most by the older viewers. Possibly that most viewers prefer the bubbly, fashion-coordinated characters, and dislike anything or anyone that has to do with learning--I'm guessing because they associate that with homework and school?

Posted by: humbu111 Jun 27 2008, 2:59 PM

lol thats true
Flora also seems pretty realistic (how Helia happened, sorta) except sometimes her personality is a little too as Stormy says, "goody goody"

It's not only that, it's also that most younger veiwers aren't mature enough to understand Tecna's personality. They just brush her off, because she seems 'nerdy'. However, veiwers like us can appreciate a lot of those qualities.

Posted by: humbu111 Jul 4 2008, 4:54 PM

true that
we understand and could relate to her personality better

Posted by: P-girl Jul 4 2008, 5:00 PM

Tecna.... while she isn't my favorite, she definately belongs in my top three girls (Her, Musa and Stella) I also like her because she's 'Nerdy/Geeky', but she isn't 'ugly' (She's just as good-looking as the other girls). Most children's shows tend to make the nerdy one the 'ugly' one (Using it loosely here, most nerdy characters aren't ugly, but it's most of the time pretty obvious that they weren't meant to be good-looking or sexy)

Posted by: humbu111 Jul 4 2008, 5:21 PM

lol the only difference between the winx girls in terms of looks is pretty much their hair (and slight differences in terms of skin colour/eye shape)

Posted by: Zhanneel Jul 6 2008, 3:33 AM

That's true. They all have the same body structure and basically the same facial structure as well, extremely similar to one another. So, at least Straffi didn't discriminate by insinuating different levels of beauty for each race/personality of the Winx girls. They are all equally pretty in my opinion. (Though, differences in physique and facial structure are always welcome and are usually appreciated, at least by the more mature audiences)

Posted by: Abby Jul 6 2008, 4:52 AM

I agree on the look of the characters. Differences between at least the main girls would be nice, but I'm not going to complain about it, he has enough on his hands anyways. I think people don't like Tecna (at least younger kids) because she just isn't shown enough. I mean I suppose the most popular character is Bloom, and she gets the most screen time. Little kids will like whoever gets the most screen time, so if Tecna were the main character, I suppose she would be the most liked.

Posted by: Hirondelle Jul 6 2008, 8:46 AM

Wow, I never noticed before, but, she really is the most realistic. While she is supposed to be the smart one, I don't think she has so much of a stereotype or anything. I don't know if anybody else got this impression, but the way I saw her when I was watching the actual italian version, I thought she had more of an attitude or edge. Something made me think that at least...
Anyway, if I'm just going crazy, then I'll just add something else to say haha. I think that she really did start out getting the short end of the stick from season 1, but it's definitely improved over the time. I know I certainly think more of her now than i used to. Now, if only they put her in more promo pictures...I'm hoping they broke that Bloom-Stella-Flora pattern they usually had going on that I noticed. They're my top three, but it's not fair icon_confused.gif

I agree.
I don't think it's right that they only focus on two or three of the six characters most of the time; it just bothers me greatly. Like Abby mentioned, it probably has a lot to do with screen time. If the other characters were shown in the series moreso then they were, they very well could have possibly been more popular, (since it seems like, for promo images, they always use the 3 most 'popular', like mentioned). I think that always showing the most popular characters is also adding to the decline in the fondness of the other characters; since fans are always seeing the same two or three characters, some would tend to ignore the others.
I am so glad that Tecna got more screen time in season three; finally! Well deserved. I think that they probably added that in season three to raise a liking to her among fans; but honestly, they should have spent a little more time on her in the first place instead of having to take drastic measures to make her more 'popular' so to speak.
I still feel that Flora deserves more spotlight. It seems that she and Tecna were the ones who were left out of a lot of things during the seasons (examples: Shadow Haunt in season 2, going to Cloud Tower in season 1, going to earth in season 2, etc...) Now I am holding onto a shred of hope that maybe, just maybe, they'll get more screen time now that there's word of season 4... (and, though this is doubtful because of the plot line, I hope that we get to see at least a little bit of Tecna's realm.)

(he he, sorry for the long post icon_mrgreen.gif )

Posted by: Abby Jul 7 2008, 4:00 AM

Yeah, another example of the "favorite" characters is how the dolls are distributed. I've noticed Bloom, Stella, and Flora dolls are a lot more popular in stores (at least when they were in the states) than Tecna, Musa, and Layla dolls. The same thing is still on ebay now, you see a lot more bloom Stella and Flora dolls than Tecna Musa and Layla. I am also hoping tecna gets more screen time. I really am interested to see her home realm, or some relatives of hers. We have seen at least one relative of all the winx girls except her.

Really? Wow, this makes me regret not buying the Flora doll I saw last year on the shelf. Now they're no where to be found other than online. :[ A duuuumb mistake I made.
That caught me really off guard we didn't see her home realm AND she achieved her enchantix without saving someone from her planet. Now, I didn't work on the show, but I thought that was kinda the point. Everyone gets to save someone from their planet, and Bloom would have to figure a way to achieve her enchantix form somehow...
Hmm...Zenith. It provoked a sense of mystery in my mind when I first heard that was the name of her home planet. Maybe they're trying to keep it that way. :B

I am seeing that it has a lot to do with screen time now...if they distributed it better, I wouldn't make the mistakes of forgetting one out of the six. (I'll admit, I'll do that every now and then) hah but anyway, they really should make up to Flora and Tecna for whatever they were left out of such as Shadow Haunt and earth in season two. There's no reason for them to have six characters if they're going to write in a way that looks like they're playing favoritism...

Sorry if I'm beating a dead horse (old saying =P), but I have to partially agree that Tecna is one of the least favorite characters because, in a way, that is how Straffi intended it to be. Why do most of the younger crowd love Bloom and Stella? Because Straffi commercializes it that way. He all but brainwashes the kids into believing that Bloom is the best thing since sliced bread. Same with Stella, or whichever character he wishes the girls to attach themselves to more. I know it's all about Bloom...but that doesn't mean everyone has to love her the most, if that makes sense. The other girls should have the same amount of plot time as each other, albeit, less plot time than the main character. But it is never proportioned equally. So, by purposely leaving Tecna out of everything it seems he may intentionally have kept her from being popular. Maybe it was subconscious on his part, but I really blame Straffi on this one. He hasn't even tried to raise Tecna's popularity with the younger audiences, and I'm sure he couldn't care one way or another. ahh! must stop ranting =P

Posted by: Jahnavi Jul 9 2008, 11:25 AM

I totally agree! It's pointless to have a show about a group of friends if you're just going to focus on one main character all through.

Posted by: humbu111 Jul 9 2008, 9:24 PM

or he could have started excluding her after he found out she wasnt as popular...

Yeah...I kinda blame him on this too. I love the series and I see a lot of potential in it, but it hasn't really been met because some things are so uneven and there should be more to it than Bloom; maybe even not focusing so much on one of the girls as the main character. For instance, season two could definitely belong to Bloom (because she turns evil for well, like, two episodes) and Aisha because she's new. Since there was Chimera, turning into a monster, and her dad, I could see season 3 focusing more on Stella and...if they wrote it another way it could also focus on one of the others. Like two girls getting the most spotlight during each season.
If they did this though, Bloom's story would either have to be condensed or loom throughout the seasons. And she would also have season one, since she became a fairy after all.

Nonetheless, obviously there are different ways to write this show. And it would've probably benefited every character more. I don't think they needed a main character, especially if they have first five, but now even SIX leads.

Posted by: Riiana Jul 12 2008, 11:25 AM

We don't really know a lot about her, do we?

Overall I think she can be a very funny character at times, though she isnt one of my favourites.
Tecna's very obviously the smartest out them all, though the fact that she uses technology for almost everything she does can get annoying.
But yeah I think shes a nice character and stays calm and logical in most situations while the others run around screaming their heads off.

Posted by: humbu111 Jul 12 2008, 5:23 PM

she is one of the funniest between the winx girls

Posted by: Riiana Jul 13 2008, 12:48 PM

Yup I agree on that!

Posted by: Zhanneel Jul 14 2008, 8:14 PM

After watching the movie (or if you look at the movie screenshots that she's in) I'd also have to agree that she is one of the funniest Winx girls =P.

I'm guessing, he/they noticed how unpopular she was, and decided not to spend too much time on her for that reason.

Although, I do think that the Omega plot was a way of trying to increase her popularity among viewers (making them feel bad for her or making them actually notice the pink-haired fairy behind the rest of the group.) icon_mrgreen.gif

I do think that it (the Omega plot) helped some though, attention definitely was given to her and some viewers took notice of it, (the response was vividly seen on Youtube when the Italian clip of the episode was uploaded). Although, her popularity is still severely low compared to the others, (I'm assuming it is because of reasons already stated in this thread).

I like Tecna! She's hilarious more often than you'd expect from a "nerd" Plus, despite what many people say, I love her 4kids British accent! Somehow it just ties her all together.

Posted by: humbu111 Jun 10 2009, 12:57 AM

[noguests]Lol Tecna can be pretty hilarious, she, Stella and Musa have some of the best lines in my opinion (4kids version, dont know bout RAI) [/noguests]

Posted by: winxclubrox23 Jun 10 2009, 2:02 AM

Yeah...hehe

Tecna: Snap!
Bloom: Tecna!
Tecna: What?

I think her British accent actually makes her jokes funnier sometimes.

Posted by: humbu111 Jun 10 2009, 2:04 AM

ROFL! I remember that, it was epic! I love that part!

Posted by: winxclubrox23 Jun 10 2009, 2:06 AM

I also liked when she totally showed Riven up in season 1 Party Monster

Posted by: humbu111 Jun 10 2009, 2:27 AM

Yes! Thats what always comes to mind when I think of how Tecna owns line-wise. But I didnt post it cause I obviously dont remember the exact wording. But I literally lol-ed at that part!

Posted by: winxclubrox23 Jun 10 2009, 2:37 AM

Found it! Here it is:

Timmy: Woah! This damage was caused by some kind of creature.
Tecna: A very big creature...
Riven: Really? Tell us something we don't know!
Tecna: It's 3 metres tall and weighs close to a tonne, it's fur is bristly not soft, it walks upright, has horns in addition to multiple clod limbs and gives off a foul, musky odor.
Stella: Haha! She told you...woah!

Omg, I love it!

I totally agree with you there. ^_^
Maybe I think it just "suits her character" because I grew accustomed to Winx Club through 4kids... That, and I just seem to think that she would be the character of the group, if any, to have an accent. I really don't know how to explain it without sounding ignorant, really... icon_mrgreen.gif

Well, now that I think about it, maybe it's because those from the UK are portrayed here (in the US media), to be sophisticated and intelligent. Maybe that is why I think it suits her: one of her most obvious characteristics is her high intelligence level.

Well, at least her voice in seasons 1 and 2... I couldn't even watch the 4kids version of season 3 when they changed her voice (yes, it bugged me that much.) I just hate it when voice actors/actresses are changed. o_O

Posted by: winxclubrox23 Jun 10 2009, 11:03 PM

Oh I know! I wonder if, 4kids dubs season 4, we'll have her season 1&2 voice actress or the season 3 one.

Posted by: humbu111 Jun 10 2009, 11:10 PM

Lol thanx for posting that Teagan! Thats gotta be among the funniest winx moments.

And I too hate when voice actors change, like in episode 2 of season 3 Stella randomly had a different voice, it drove me crazy (you dont know how relieved I was when her voice was back to normal next episode)

Posted by: winxclubrox23 Jun 10 2009, 11:15 PM

Yeah! I was just going to mention that! What the heck was up with that?

Posted by: humbu111 Jun 10 2009, 11:24 PM

No idea. Maybe they wanted to redo that episode for whatever reason, but couldnt get ahold of Amy Birnbaum (Stella's voice actress)

Posted by: winxclubrox23 Jun 10 2009, 11:29 PM

Yeah. Isn't Amy the one and only Canadian voice actor of the cast? Or is it someone else? There is one though. I remember.

Posted by: humbu111 Jun 10 2009, 11:32 PM

Hmm, I remember something like that. I think it is Amy, but I'm not sure. She's a very good voice actress, by the way, she does Stella very well.

Posted by: winxclubrox23 Jun 10 2009, 11:36 PM

Yeah she is! I can't picture Stella with any other voice.

I'm pretty sure it is Amy. I think she's from either Vancouver (WOO!!! MY Official HOME TOWN! According to my birth certificate anyways...) or Victoria. I'll have to look it up...

Posted by: humbu111 Jun 10 2009, 11:40 PM

I remember it being Vancouver, but I could easily be wrong.

Posted by: winxclubrox23 Jun 10 2009, 11:45 PM

I can't find it! She's got nothing but her credits on Wikipedia...

Posted by: humbu111 Jun 10 2009, 11:54 PM

xD That is one of my favorite scenes of season 1 (among the many. I have lots of favorite scenes from season 1... icon_mrgreen.gif).

Referring to Stella's voice changing: I noticed that too; it bugged me as well.
I think the voice makes up a large part of the character, so when the voice is changed, it almost feels like the character has changed. thumbsdown.gif

Thats what it feels like when watching RAI, except the background music is worse too.

Posted by: Anna Maria Jun 11 2009, 8:51 AM

I like Tecna a lot. She's smart, cute, and well, different than the others, in a good way.
I did cry when she got swallowed after closing the Omega portal.

Posted by: P-girl Jun 11 2009, 8:57 AM

While admitting that was probably one of the more tragic Winx Club moments (Musa pounding the ground got to me, admittedly), it didn't make me cry.

Posted by: humbu111 Jun 11 2009, 10:32 PM

It made me sad, but I didnt cry. And Musa's cry really got to the heart. Thats got to be one of the most emotional cartoon moments I have ever seen.

Posted by: winxclubrox23 Jun 12 2009, 12:36 AM

The one moment where I cry EVERY time is when Musa has to choose between her mom and the water stars.

There's several Winx Club screams that must have been awesome to voice act... (Musa's Tecna scream, Riv screaming No...)

i don't like tecna sometimes she is just too smart

Posted by: P-girl Jun 13 2009, 8:12 PM

How is being to smart bad? That's the same like not liking a character because she's to pretty.

Posted by: mightymarty2 Jun 13 2009, 8:23 PM

Tecna not being smart does not equal tecna, I mean i could understand if she was obnoxious and looked down on others as she was smarter than them. Also musa got the best grades of the winx so she is smart do you not like her for the same reason

--and even her independent streak and maturity. Her difficult situation with love and romance is also very endearing, as I find it even sweeter when flawed characters find happiness in love and life.

Good reasons IMO and well said Zhanneel. If there is such a thing (and I do not think there is) as earning a right to be romantically happy, Tecna may have the greatest claim.

I made a point in my http://fortresstakes.wordpress.com/2009/03/17/winx-club-2006-2007-season-3-26-episodes/ take that a good argument could be made for Tecna being the bravest of the Winx girls. Especially represented when she was ready to sacrifice herself to seal the Omega Dimension.

Hombu makes a good point too. Where is her background? SHe once mentioned being from a highly teched planet, but where is it? What is it called? Does she have family? Is she the only member of the Winx Club who is NOT a princess? (Ha.) Is there any end to these questions?

Well, who does not like comfortable clothes! icon_wink.gif -- Sci Fi may not be liked by all, but should be! Ha.

Thanks ADMazei!

Lol in the 4kids version Stella says she chooses outfits based on how fireproof they are... another funny line from 4kids, that part also has made me lol.

Posted by: humbu111 Jun 13 2009, 9:43 PM

Sci-fi is okay IMO, it can go overboard pretty quickly though, so thats not too good. I dont like stories involving so much advanced technology unless its explained really well, cause it can get too confusing and not make much sense.

Posted by: P-girl Jun 13 2009, 9:43 PM

I love Sci-Fi. But the good Sci-Fi. Y'know, the one that raises actual questions about the future? Sci-Fi is to easily pasted onto something that's just some average genre set IN SPACE. Therefore I greatly respect George Lucas for admitting that 'Star Wars' isn't Science Fiction, it's just a story set in space.

Posted by: P-girl Jun 13 2009, 9:53 PM

Well, I haven't seen it, but that's a pretty genuine Sci-Fi movie. It mostly deals with how humans will cope with the advances Science will make. (Try A.I., but beware, it's a heavy movie)

Posted by: mightymarty2 Jun 14 2009, 9:15 AM

i like a bit of si-fi though i did want to see i am legend but never got around to going to the cinema

@humbu oh yeah i remember that quote

i like smart but i don't like really smart because they might end up like a show of same thing like pretty if your really pretty u will brag also science is like my worst subject in my report card i got a 85 so i never said i don't like smart just too smart

Posted by: P-girl Jun 14 2009, 4:57 PM

That means you don't like show-offs, not the intelligence itself.

*timidly raises hand* Just because one is really smart, doesn't mean they'll brag about it, (in fact, most "really smart" people in my school tend to be very modest about it). Although, there definitely is a type that is smart, and likes to let everyone know they are (I've had experiences with that kind of person...*shudders* They try to treat you like you're 5 or something... Even if your GPA is higher than theirs. Bleh)

Hmmm... I think Tecna would fall in the middle (if not in the "modest" category). I don't think she tries to brag about her intelligence level, but she does utilize it in a fashion, at times, that makes it appear that she is "showing off" (maybe without even trying to). But I can only really think of a couple of instances.
(I'm drawing a blank at the moment when it comes to what episodes, specifically, though.)

@Boo: How about the one in Season 1 when she insisted in on showing Riven up?

Posted by: humbu111 Jun 14 2009, 10:55 PM

Lol when she tells Riven off, episode 7.

Edit: Haha Teagan we think alike xD

Posted by: winxclubrox23 Jun 14 2009, 10:56 PM

Yes. Lol, I loved that very much.

Posted by: humbu111 Jun 14 2009, 10:57 PM

Lol same here^^

She's my favorite character of the series. Not only is she smart and secure in herself, she also always does what she thinks is right. I think Tecna is probably mentally the strongest of the Winx, afterall her emotions almost never get the bettere of her and after the first season she expresses her emotions well.

This may just be me but do think she may be the most militaristic of the Winx?

xD That is one of my favorite scenes of season 1 (among the many. I have lots of favorite scenes from season 1... icon_mrgreen.gif).

Referring to Stella's voice changing: I noticed that too; it bugged me as well.
I think the voice makes up a large part of the character, so when the voice is changed, it almost feels like the character has changed. thumbsdown.gif

what episode is that

Posted by: humbu111 Jun 17 2009, 8:43 PM

Stella's voice change? Episode 2 of season 3.

Found it!

Omg, I love it!

no i mean wat episode is this

Posted by: humbu111 Jun 17 2009, 9:40 PM

Episode 7 of season 1.

Awww, I feel so flattered. icon_smile.gif I'm glad that it inspired you. ^_^

I love her! Back when I was 8-10 I didn't like her too much since she didn't say to much. But watching the seasons again made me realize she's really funny. And she's got cute style too. Of most of the girls, I'd only wear Flora and Tecna's outfits.

And plus I love her Believix.

Posted by: IcyRules4ever Dec 18 2009, 2:33 AM

i think Tecna is pretty cool. she and Timmy's relationship is pretty funny in season 1, i like the 2 of them together (: in my opinion, i think the witches would hate Tecna the least because she isnt as "princessy" as the other fairies, especially Stella (even tho Stella is my fave fairy...lol! i'm just saying, from the witches' perspective) so over all, Tecna's a pretty cool character (:

Posted by: GuardianOfEarth Jun 14 2010, 4:25 AM

Well, technically, Techna is the one who has the least attention of all the girl. She did have a little fame after sealing off the Omega portal. But other than that, we don't know anything about her planet (only its name maybe, Zenith), her family, even her background is in the fog. I wish we get to know her more in season 5.

i like tecna i must admit at first i was like GOSH i hate her tecnology orientated mind but ive grown to love it. i must admit 4kids season1 accent was terrible but yeah shes grown on me shes one of my favorites now.

Posted by: skylight Oct 13 2010, 1:33 PM

I didn't really like Tecna at first but now I think she gets too little screen time! she's really funny and I think she's unique in that she thinks more than the others and is more logical :) she looks good in her enchantix!

Posted by: morphixqueen90 Jun 28 2011, 8:14 AM

I used to hate Tecna, but after her sacrifice to save Layla's realm in s3 and the fact that I wasn't sure she would come back at the time, it made me rethink my opinion and I saw what a great character she is. Nerdy, awkward, and kind of antisocial? Yes. Adorable while doing all the above? HELL YEAH!

Posted by: Hamrawit_Buna Jul 30 2011, 1:40 AM

In my opinion, she is interesting, she is the one dressed in purple (my favourite colour) and the only one to have short hair. If they make it long, I would be disappointed. In fact, the only Winx girl I hate is Bloom.
Her Believix forms are wonderful, in my opinion.

Posted by: Kaylin Aug 2 2011, 11:10 PM

I really like Tecna! Or, at least in the 4kids version; I'm not familiar with her personality in Rai. I like how she's so smart, and she doesn't care what people think. It seems like she gets left out a lot of the time, and that really bothers me. /: I don't really like her in the Nick version so far. She seems a bit incompetent; like the only word she knows is "irrational." But that's just my opinion.
