Last year, I stumbled across this 30-day challenge on a Winx fan's tumblr, and decided to take it. All this month, I'm reposting my thoughts... (with 2015 updates where applicable)
Day 1: Favorite Winx
Tecna, of course. Reasons:
1. Main reason is that I've been a computer enthusiast for most of my life (I graduated from computer engineering, and currently work in software development), so the idea of a smart fairy who's into computers tickled my fancy.
2. It also helped that her original fairy outfit stood out amongst the others 
3. Also, many things have changed, but some things have remained the same: she's kept her hair short, and she's still the only Winx girl who's into computers.

Day 2: Favorite Trix
Darcy. Smart, sneaky, snarky, cool illusion powers, looks great in eyeglasses. Even tricked Riven into working with them for a spell, I might add (huh, "spell"...)

Day 3: Favorite Specialist/Main Cast Male
Timmy. Also loves computers, also looks great in glasses, plus he's the Specialists' resident strategist. As Brandon would say, "When Timmy's got ideas, the Specialists listen." He's especially great when working with Tecna (more on that another day), and he's a pretty decent guy all around.

Day 4: Favorite Secondary Character
My current fave in this category is Eldora. She's a kindly old fairy godmother, who comes across as a somewhat funnier version of Faragonda, bringing good comic relief. 6x14 also shows her holding her own during the battle on Tir na Nog. Pretty cool huh?
Before season 6 though, it probably would have been a toss-up between Mirta, with her switch from witch to fairy, and Tressa, with her redemption arc from season 3 into season 5, going from being a coward to fighting for Andros alongside the Winx.
(2015 update: Considering the episodes in the latter stretch of season 6, though, Eldora's schtick kind of got tired towards the end there 
)

Day 5: Favorite Background Character
Toss-up between Ortensia (glasses and muffin hat) and Francis (jester look), though an honorable mention goes to a certain fairy from the S6 Egypt arc. You'd think she was a shout-out to a certain fan

Day 6: Favorite Villain
No surprises here... The Trix. They've been there practically since day one, they've always posed the biggest threat to the Magical Dimension, and so far, season 6 is the best (worst?) they've been in years, especially since they're the ones getting lackeys this time around

Day 7: Favorite Fairy Form
For me it's a toss-up between the traditional elegance of Enchantix, and the modern style of Believix. Enchantix has that elegant look going for it (with a little touch of modern-ness), and we got some nice individual character moments out of the girls' sacrifices.
Meanwhile, Believix had a more modern practical look for S4's Earth setting (I understand that that's why some people don't like it all that much), along with its own touch of elegance. Kind of a complement to Enchantix, if you will...

Slightly off topic, but Enxhantix is a transformation that just works SO much better in 3D.

Day 9: Favorite Non-Transformed Outfit
Lots of outfits to choose from, but I have a soft spot for Tecna's S1 and S2 casuals. For non-regular outfits, I'm going with Stella's cowboy outfit from Miss Magix .

Day 10: Favorite Professor/Headmaster
I'm going with Faragonda. Besides being knowledgeable about magical history, she's a kind and caring headmistress (well, most of the time anyway), the kind that most people would consider themselves lucky to have.

Day 11: Favorite School
It's going to be one of the big three, since we haven't seen much of the other schools, so I'm going with Alfea, with its elegant look, pleasant atmosphere, and nice and friendly students

Day 12: Favorite Pixie
Digit made the perfect foil for Tecna, with her love of computers and video games, plus her power to play inside Tecna's computer was pretty nifty Ever since she was replaced with Cara in S6, it just hasn't been the same :-\ Zing and her various random costumes puts her firmly in 2nd.

Day 13: Favorite Selkie
Not too crazy about the Selkies, but I pick Lithia (the Zenith one). "Turn back or be deleted!" That's more individuality than most of the other bonded Selkies got :-\

Day 14: Favorite Animal
I'm not too particularly fond of the Love & Pet pets from S4, and most of the pixie pets didn't really make much of an impression on me (except for the frog and the hippocampus), so I go with Kiko. Cute, faithful to Bloom, and great for comic relief.
(2015 update: But maybe Tecna's squirrel thing from season 7 will rival Kiko for the top spot...)

Day 15: Favorite Realm
Well, given that most of my favorite characters are the techno-minded ones, it only makes sense for my favorite realm to be Zenith. It was the last of the girls' home realms to be visited, and in my opinion, it was worth the wait. I mean, technology and magic? Sign me up

Day 16: Favorite Season
The second one. Let's see, it has Layla, the pixies and Darkar, it made my favorite couple more respected by the fandom (we'll get to that in a few posts), and even the filler eps were mostly great (especially the concert). My ranking for the seasons: 2, 1, 6, 4, 5, 3.

Day 17: Favorite Power
On the witches' side, Icy's Ice Dragon (1x20). That thing forced the RF boys to evacuate over to Alfea and eventually replace their school altogether. Was kinda hoping that it'd play a role in the final battle in S1 (or at least the Nick remake of it)
On the fairies' side, Tecna's Magnetic Storm (from the first movie's opening battle), with honorable mentions going to the Sirenix kicking spells, and Tecna's Techno Punch (5x21).

Ooh, here's a good one...
Day 18: Favorite Couple (Canon)
Timmy/Tecna. I remember when most of the fandom didn't like this pairing simply because it was the obvious one to make. I never had any issues with that, though...
Besides, look at how their relationship has evolved. Timmy's redemption arc in season 2 is a big reason why I imagine the fandom has become more accepting of this pairing, and he was the only person who still believed Tec to be alive midway through season 3 They also work great together whenever the Specialists and the Winx go on missions
Also, since Timmy's redemption arc, they've been more or less drama-free. For example, Season 5 saw them going out on a date, and Timmy was perfectly understanding of Tecna having to bail to save her fellow Winx. It's one of those little things that makes them a great couple. Quite frankly, I can't imagine either of them being paired off with anyone else
(2015 update: And their season 6 episode continued their solid relationship as well )

Day 19: Favorite Pairing (Non-Canon)
Musa/LaylaAisha. For all that's been said about the romantic couples and the friendship between Bloom/Stella, you've got to appreciate the less-mentioned (especially during the Nick era) friendship between the Fairy of Music and the fairy of dancing After all, it was Musa who helped Aisha fit in with the Winx, and that's something that shouldn't be forgotten.

Day 20: Mike/Vanessa or Oritel/Miriam
I prefer Mike/Vanessa. I imagine that most viewers would relate more to them than the royals of Domino. They've also been around Bloom for longer, so I'd say they know how to take good care of her.

Day 21: Least Favorite Winx
Now we reach the ones that are a bit hard to write about, because I genuinely do like most of the characters.
Likewise, I don't really have a least favorite Winx, but if I had to choose, I would say Stella. Now, this isn't meant as a slam against the Fairy of the Shining Sun. She's quite funny, she cares a lot about her family and friends (and Brandon!), and her passion for fashion (I know, wrong doll line ) is nothing to scoff at.
The problem is, she can have a really problematic attitude sometimes, such as when she refused to make nice with Chimera early on in season 3 (seen here), or tried to force a relationship on Aisha. Thankfully, the writers seem to have toned down her attitude in the latest season, and she's a better character for it

Day 22: Least Favorite Trix
With only three Trix to choose from, I'd say that Stormy takes this position by default. Compared to the others, Stormy comes across as just a minor annoyance. She never went solo as much as her sisters did, and when Valtor needed a "lab rat" for the niceness spell he stole, he used it on Stormy (resulting in the above picture)... so that should say something

Day 23: Least Favorite Specialist/Main Cast Male
Not surprisingly, Riven. He's always had that bad boy look about him, and he can have a pretty big ego at times, plus as mentioned earlier, he even sided with the Trix for a stint... And when Mandragora needed an insider in the first movie, guess who she used? And whenever the Specialists are fighting each other (especially when not as part of class), Riven's usually involved :-\ Hopefully Nex doesn't turn into another Riven...
(2015 update: And of course we all know what happened with Riven in 6x22-23... Good riddance )

Day 24: Least Favorite Secondary Character
My pick is Chimera and Cassandra, but not so much the characters themselves as how they were treated by the writers.
Cassandra got off on the wrong foot from the get-go by talking about how much she doesn't like Stella, absolutely ensuring that Stella would have no problems about crashing her wedding later on. The fact that Cassandra perpetuates the whole "step-parents are evil" trope is just the cherry on top
Meanwhile, after her impressive debut, quite a few fans were hoping to see Chimera be turned good, after all, it looked like she was behaving this way mostly because of her mom and Valtor, right? (Plus Stella's attitude, as mentioned on Day 21) Instead, she ends up being dispatched (pretty anticlimactically at that) as part of the aforementioned wedding crash. Kinda like the season as a whole, really... (And on top of that, we never even got to visit her school ) There's probably an AU out there that treats them properly, and part of me wonders if Selina is an attempt to do a Chimera-like character right...
Also, I'm not particularly fond of the idea of the Selkies as a whole either. They're like the pixies crossed with the Bubble Guppies, minus almost any trace of individuality Plus, they displaced the pixies for a whole season without any real in-story explanation, so there's that...

I thought the Selkies were suppose to be guardians of the gates in the ocean but they were way too weak to do that and completely useless

Just noticed I skipped one day earlier, so here it is...
Day 8: Favorite Individual Transformation
I like Tecna's fairy forms in general actually, but for my favorite, it's a toss-up between Tecna's distinctive original fairy outfit (especially with the cartwheel in the Nick version), and Musa's Charmix (the original S2 flavor).

Day 25: Least Favorite Villain
Tritannus. His entire motive for taking over the Infinite Ocean apparently stems from being ignored by his own family... and then there's also the part where Icy was oohing and aahing over him and ignoring her sisters Plus, he didn't even show the slightest bit of remorse after his defeat in 5x26

The only good thing about Trittannus is that now, people don't complain about Darkar as much. (Like, he's not my favorite, but I DO like the guy)

Day 26: Least Favorite Fairy Form
Toss up between Harmonix and Sophix. As another fan pointed out during her run at the challenge, Harmonix is frilly and highly impractical for the ocean, and like Sirenix, also suffers from sameness. As for Sophix, let's just put it this way: Ladies, those skirts are much too short. Please put on some clothes.

Day 27: Least Favorite Couple (Canon)
Easily Musa/Riven. They're one of the show's two consistent and reliable sources of relationship drama, but whereas Bloom/Sky drama tends to come from just Diaspro, Musa/Riven have plenty of trust issues, and both have had moments where one of them thought the other was cheating on him/her (Darcy, Nabu, Jason, that guitar lady) And as mentioned a few days ago, Riven's also kind of a bad boy, so there's also that...

Day 28: I miss...
the days when Nick US (or even 4Kids) actually gave the show a decent promotional push and kept the fandom active in the states. 4Kids even gave the Winx a http://www.michaelsfavorites.com/winxclub3_02/wc_michaelswinxclub_feelingroovymalltour.html to raise awareness of season 3 (I don't recall Nick US doing anything like that ) These days, fandom activity is more or less a trickle, because we don't see so much promotional effort anymore in the US (or even new episodes)

Day 29: I wish they would...
Until season 5, my wishes probably would have included visiting Zenith, and giving Tecna another focus episode. No matter what people will think about the Nick era in the long run, I will always have these to be grateful to Nick for.
These days, I still have three wishes (HEH.):
* Dolls: Give Tecna and Musa their fair share of representation. It's been a problem since the Mattel days, and it continues to persist in the Jakks era. I mean, you don't see Hasbro making fewer (say) Applejack and Fluttershy dolls, so why should there be fewer Tecna/Musa dolls? :-\
* Better writing: More specifically, balancing the target audience and the older fanbase, better follow-through on interesting ideas (one of the biggest problems with season 3, such as with Mirta here), and just being more intelligent overall.
* In relation to Day 28: I really wish Nick US (or whoever) would actively promote and air the show, rather than letting it languish in reruns (or worse) for several months on end. I mean, 4Kids at least kept airing reruns during those gaps in S3...
(2015 update: These wishes are still more or less relevant today...)
And just like that, tomorrow is the conclusion to the 30 day challenge, and I've got something really special prepared...

Day 30: Favorite Character of All
Was there really any doubt? Tecna all the way Like I said way back on Day 1, the concept of a fairy who's into computers and gadgets tickled my fancy, and she's a big reason I was attracted to the show in the first place
And as for that special thing I have prepared... Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you my Winx doll collection
(2015 update: I only got a few more Winx dolls in '15 (space, and lack of releases over here), though one of those dolls was a Musa Harmonix 
)
