I love fighting games. And I love the Tekken series. True, the controls were always a bit stiff, but that was forgivable with the impressive character roster, awesome backgrounds and wicked soundtrack.

They solved it. The controls work smooth.

Now this game truly has everything!

The character roster is bigger then ever, bringing some fun new ones in the mix (Especially for me, since I don't own a PSP and never played with Lili and Dragunov.... a huge miss) while also bringing back the golden oldies in new, customizable glory.

The visuals are just stunning, the characters look great, detailed, and the backgrounds.... my god, the backgrounds... most of them look great, but my mind was officially blown by 'Fallen Colony'. Or as I like to call it, 'Escherland';

You fight on a slightly tilted platform in a space-station with some really messed up gravity (You can't see it on this picture, but there's a piece of land that's floating UPSIDE DOWN.)
And if that wasn't enough, this is the theme:
Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Adobe's Flash Player. Get the latest Flash player.

AWE-SOME!

You could say the graphics are a bit dated, due to the game actually being two years old (Arcade to console conversion....) but they were nice enough to give us two new characters and quite an impressive story-mode and customisable options, with costumes provided by CLAMP. (That's kinda 'meh' for me, but I know enough fanites)

Definately. And if it helps, it wears Ed Boon's (Mortal Kombat creator) seal of approval.

Bought it two days ago.

Like I said, it's much smoother then previous games. (I always taught the mechanics were kinda stiff. Glad they solved it.)

Yeah, I just bought it and have been playing it all week. Still, Tekken 3 is my favorite of the series.

I can't deny my love for that game. (I actually squealed when they gave a free port to it in Tekken 5)

I picked up Lily for fun. Now my mains are Kazuya, Xiaoyu, and Lily.

Also, Doa 5 has been announced for the PS3. It's the first doa game since doa 2: hardcore to come out on a sony console.

Whoa... you actually manage to be decent with Kazuya? *Tips imaginary hat* Love the character (He's a fair contender for my personal 'Best Game villains ever'-list). But I can't play with him to save my life.

Myself, I mostly use Dragunov, Wulong and Xiaoyu.

Finally. I'm not a huge DOA fan, but I felt I've been missing out on those games nonetheless.

I'm one of the few gamers that started playing doa for the fighting and not the girls. One of my friends let me borrow doa 2: Hardcore for the ps2 when it first came out. I loved the series ever since.
I am worried though, Itagaki no longer works for Tecmo, so it may not be as good as the others.

Also, I used to be a Jin player until Tekken 4 changed is fighting style. So I switched over to Kazuya.
