How do they make money by giving the pets out for free? By selling food for them?

Do we know for sure that they are giving them out for free? I doubt the animators really wanted to deal with always showing cash when a new pet disappears.

Well I don't know. When Mitzi was buying her pet, she took out a credit card, but never gave it to any of the Winx Girls. She just put it back in her purse.

In that scene, bloom said something similar to "put the card away, we are giving these out as gifts"

If I should be honest: I would pay so much for a pet like these... So they would make more money with sell them BUT they should sell them to the right people.

I agree. i'd like one like Coco, Flora's pink kitty, but maybe the same colour as Belle. Yes, in that episode Bloom did say something along those lines.

What I never understood was how Bloom says to Vanessa "We'll pay back evey penny" and yet they gave out the pets for free how do they pay her back? Yeah I agree with Raiyla I want a kitty

And again: Food. Hygene. Medical Care. Trust me, I have two cats, both of them were 'Free' to buy, but I probably spent like, hundreds of dollars on them in Food, Medical Bills, Flea Protection.... that's where the money is. (And don't get me started on Swiffer, our (Late) Persian cat with his MASSIVE fur.)
If they give the pets out for free...
