I voted for Darkar. seeing as how he's a phoenix, he probably will come back. Also didnt one of the episodes say darkar was blooms oppistie or something like that.

(Whoo, almost a year old post =P)
I'm not sure who I'd pick as a favorite (probably a toss up between Darcy, Cassandra, or B(V)altor, who are all for the most part strong and laid back type of power-hungry characters). But as for least favorite I have to give 100% to Darkar. (Granted, my reasoning may be skewed since I have only watched the episodes in the 4kids version.) I could not stand his voice, a little higher pitched and airy-sounding than I would assume for a villain . That combined with the dialogue--which was mostly narcissistic talk about himself and his lovies and his pets--ground my nerves. He whined way too much and was far too conceited for such an ugly looking thing. But, perhaps his Italian version wouldn't bother me so much *shrug*.
In complete contrast to this, I was exceedingly happier when B(V)altor arrived in season 3 to add some appropriate villainy to the scene. The vampire-like dress and appearance and his (thankfully) deeper and calmer voice helped me to picture him as more powerful and stable. He was level headed and calculating in a way that the other villains were not. Crazy, frantic, unorganized villains are just too lame for me. But the more serious, less shallow villains seem to be more dangerous as they are concerned with more important things than fashion or getting revenge on someone just because they can't stand their personality.

Honestly, I don't like any of the villains, mainly because they all seemed so trite and cliche'd. I honestly feel Straffi never put much thought into showing them as actual characters and rather be cardboard cutout evildoers.
The one I dislike the least, however, is Darcy... mainly because there was the *slightest* chance of humanizing her in the first season with Riven. Of course, that all got swept away and never became a plot point *ever again*.
And seriously, what the heck is up with Diaspro? She learns her lesson is season 2, only to regress into some two-dimensional "I want my boyfriend!" idiot in the season 3.

QUOTE (mightymarty2 @ Apr 19 2008, 02:43 PM) I think baltor was good he was one of those people just don't like but I think he was more of a character who people love to hate. Maybe a just like a bit of cockyness without being too big headed. My point from bleach like kenpachi hate byuchia I'd probably agree that Baltor was also my least disliked villain =P. Though, if I worked for Straffi I would completely restructure the villains, give them more substance and develop their history and background. In short, I'd want to make them more realistic. All in all, they were all short of being "great" villains, though some were closer than others. The problem is you have Bloom, the deus ex machina of the show, who blows them all down in the last episodes with her dragonfire. Basically, if an inexperienced, girl with no strategy other than wailing her opponents with fire can take you down, then they are no good in my book. The only battle that made sense was the fire and ice battle with Bloom and Icy, as those two are perfect opposites and I can see how Icy would be overpowered by the literal heat of dragonfire. Diaspro=completely annoying
