What is the most recent movie that you have seen? It doesnt have to be out in theatres or anything. Just share with us.
Mine would have to be Underdog!
what do you mean by not in theatres or something?
are we suppose to tell the movie name we are looking forward to see?
like what was the last movie you saw... i mean yesterday i went and saw Underdog but if i didnt see that i would have said the last movie i saw was She's All That on a tv channel...
oh that.i went to see hot fuzz but its one month old
hot fuzz is a comedy and action movie.
oh that sounds like a good movie...
(ttyl becca...)
I watched Interstella 5555. It's this amazing anime made by Daft Punk and Leiji Matsumoto, and the whole movie is set to Daft Punk's album "Discovery". The movie has absolutly no dialogue and theres only minimal sounds affects, but their album plays continuosly throughout. I don't know if any of you remember the filmclip to One More Time, but it's a continue on of that. You must watch this movie if you're an anime and/or house music lover. The whole things on youtube if you want to go check it out
i saw no reservations. it was so cute!
Well today i saw A Walk to Remember. Since i was so bored. I love that movie.
the last movie i saw was licence to wed on thursday
Transformers.
I just don't watch a lot of movies.
I watch movies on tv since there isnt anything on... As i am getting off i just watched Pirates of the Carribean 2

The last movie I saw is High School Musical, it's out at veoh.com now!
me too the last movie i saw was HSM2 i loved it. BTW hi riliana
If there's a rule against reviving this thread, It's old, I know...but I checked the rules....TT_TT
The last one I saw was Atonement last night...incredible movie. uber sad.
LoL, if you did this on TV.com, someone'd keel joo.
Last movie I saw in theaters was 27 Dresses.
Last movie I saw on TV was Hairspray.
Last movie I decided to randomly watch at 11:00 last night was Sailor Moon Super S.
I know, I've been on uber strict sites where they'd have warned me and closed the thread. XD
Sites like Tv.com aren't that fun because they're so anal like that, they're corporately owned so they have to follow what a bunch of suits say to keep them looking good, meanwhile, they've never even seen the boards much less know the members...*sigh* can you tell I've seen it all before?XD Another reason I love how laid back it is here. Everyone knows everyone and we get along. Yay...
I'm off topic, I apologize...TT_TT
last movie i saw in theaters was The Golden Compass, and that was a few days after it came out.
I saw twister last night on TV, and the last movie in theaters was Definitely, Maybe?
I saw The Iron giant for the first time, yesterday.
was it good????
i saw the other baleyn girl, it was pretty good.
Iron Giant: Brilliant.
The animation is really good, they don't shy away from adult themes (Talking about death and dying, souls, free to be who you choose to be, and the paranoia of the cold war, which is, today once more, a very real topic, with terrorism and all) . And how often do you see a 30 metre high steel robot and think that's the most adorable thing ever? Because that what that was. I highly recommend it for everybody.
xD I remember watching that movie when I was little. I totally thought the robot was ADORPHABLE!
How was The Other Boleyn Girl? I'm gonna see that this weekend, and I heard it was pretty good, but I wanna get some opinions from here on MC.
Last movie I watched DVD style--Hairspray
Last movie I watched TV--Harry Potter & The Chamber Of Secrets {ABC Family!}
Last movie in theaters--Horton Hears a Who!
{Please, someone help me figure out how they made a hour and a half long movie out of a twenty page picture book that rhymes.}
Dvd- Rent
Theaters-Please be kind, Rewind
the other baleyn girl was really good, but it was kindof long and slightly disterbing...
lets see DVD - Evan almighty
cinima - either I am legend or enchanted i cant actualy remember but on the 27th or 30th i'm going to see spiderwick chronicals
I just saw the DVD of 'Night at the museum'. It was.... really not that bad. It's not really good, but there were some pretty nifty things. Like the Easter Egg head (Who keeps calling Ben Stiller Dumb-dumb, and asking for Gum-gum, I can't help it, but that cracks me up.), Rexy, the T-Rex skeleton with the demeanor of a playfull puppy. And Octavius and Jed, a Cowboy and a Roman General who constantly bicker.
Well Recently I've just watched a movie called "The Leap Years"
The story is about 2 person whom only gets to meet on every leap years Feb 29. (Next leap years is 4 years away)
Because of some misunderstanding, they broke up but the misunderstanding dissolved until that girl's wedding day with a guy whom she doesn't love.
Although the story is great, but they picked up the wrong scenes that making everyone in the cinema laughed.
Nanny Mcfee TODAY!
hehe i'm watching the one movie i possible like more then harry potter and its funny my friends gasp everytime itell them i like this movie more then HP lol i'm not going to say the name just one little word "Bumblebee" lol
i recently saw horton hears a who. it was ok a 2.5 out of 5 but my friend john fell asleep after like 15 minutes of it lol
Sam says that didn't work at all.
But other news! I saw The Other Boleyn Girl today.
WHICH ONE WAS THE MOVIE ABOUT?
I could not tell!
Also, Ella Enchanted's been on, like, Disney Channel repeat all weekend.
the latest movie i've watched (which i'm watching niw) is who framed rodger rabit
Spirited Away {I love Miyazaki's films. Spirited Away just happened to be on CN today, and I was bored, so...It's my second favorite. My favorite's Princess Mononoke. I don't know why.}
I watched Rent today!!
confesions of a teenage drama queen
I just remembered the other weekend my parents bought Enchanted and I watched it!
in the cinema yesterday spiderwck chronicals and on dvd die hard 4.0
The most recent movie I've seen is Sydney White and Enchanted. I wanted to see Atonement, and could have, but didn't. >_<
The most recent I've seen in theaters was Juno (which is a really good movie).
Death Note! XD
Can't believe I love that show now, at first I love their anime, but now I love the 1st film. Don't ever get me to watch the 3rd one, it seriously sucks i swear
I really want to see Atonement too. I really want to rent it but I have not gotten the chance to yet.
I don't think I remember back enough....I think it was V for Vendetta? At least, that is the last movie I paid to see =P.
Kiki's Delivery Service!
Watched it when I was little, loved it, watched it now, loved it still.
Castle in the Sky?
Of course I have seen it. But I think my favorite anime!movie is Princess Mononoke. {so hard to type xP}
New movie changed. I'm watching the Lion King with my baby sis.
Ditto, the most recent movie I've seen changed as well: Monty Python and the Holy Grail. My friend had me watch it. I'd have to say it was interesting to say the least...
That's funny, I was just quoting phrases from that movie with a friend of mine two days ago. We hadn't remembered it in years, and then out of the blue we just started nattering quotes back and forth. I love British comedy and humor ^^. They have a lot of witty humor, and yeah, it is different, but I think that's why I like it so much. It's not in your face, but it's creative.
King Arthur: I am your king.
Woman: Well I didn't vote for you.
King Arthur: You don't vote for kings.
Woman: Well how'd you become king then?
[Angelic music plays... ]
King Arthur: The Lady of the Lake, her arm clad in the purest shimmering samite held aloft Excalibur from the bosom of the water, signifying by divine providence that I, Arthur, was to carry Excalibur. THAT is why I am your king--
Dennis: [interrupting] Listen, strange women lyin' in ponds distributin' swords is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony.
Dennis: Oh, but you can't expect to wield supreme executive power just because some watery tart threw a sword at you.
I'm watching ah long pte ltd now, it's a singapore comedy film and it is made by jack neo.
I watched Sixteen Candles today.
Now I'm watching, "doraemon and the dinosaur!"
a walk to remember
Aww, A Walk to Remember is so sad =(. I can no longer watch movies that have sad endings. But overall it was a great story.
High School Musical 2 (atleast part of it)
I saw A.I. a few days back.... such a wonderful and deep movie, it proved once more what a brilliant director Steven Spielberg is.
The Chronicles Of Narnia: Prince Caspian. It was pretty good, but I think the first one (The Chronicles Of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe) was better.
(Well according to C.S. Lewis's book series Narnia the Magician's Nephew was 1st)
Disney's The Minute Men
Yeah, I know that 'The Magician's Nephew' is the first if the books, but I meant the first of the movies.
i finally got to see the Golden Compass..
but i didn't really like it. beside the polar bear part. i love that part.
i escpecially didn't like the ending. so i'm guessing probably they are going to have a second movie or just leave it like that.
As of right now, I'm in the process of watching "Pan's Labyrinth". (CREEPY MOVIE!! >.<) I just recently watched "La Misma Luna" ("Under the Same Moon"). Very cute movie, made me cry. ;_; But they were happy tears.
If you thought Pan's Labyrinth was creepy, have you seen Devil's Backbone? It was the movie that del Toro made before Pan, and Pan can be considered a spiritual sequel to it since it takes place during the same time period.
In some ways, Backbone is much more realistic. In other ways, it has moments about 10 times as disturbing on a moral level. That being said, it was very good.
And del Toro's directing the new Hellboy movie. I can't wait!
Oh, and incidentally, the reason the Golden Compass movie sorta fell short at the end is because it ended three chapters before the book did, partially because they wanted an upbeat ending, because otherwise...
WARNING! MASS SPOILERS AHEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'M WARNING YOU! TURN BACK IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW THE DAMNING TRUTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
... Essentially, Lyra's father kills Roger to open up the gateway to our world. Yeah. And Lyra goes in after him.
Saw Cloverfield a couple of days ago. really love the way the movie was done, and yes I know it was entirely done in "handy-cam" vision. and after watching what went into the movie, I absolutely love some of the background info. and the only thing that really made me jumpy (I rarely encounter anything that makes me jump, with a few exceptions) was when the parasites started making noise. oh god did that remind me of Headcrabs and Snarks from Half-life. that was probably the most disturbing sound effect I ever heard recently.
on the subject of Golden Compass, they're probably not going to be making the next two books due to some uh arthorial attitudes written in The Subtle Knife and The Amber Spyglass. probably why the first (and probably only movie) was cut short.
and where is the **** is my Metroid movie?
On the subject of The Golden Compass: I have to say the movie was sub-par. I've read the first two books in the series, and the movie doesn't hold a candle to first book. I really hate Hollywood sometimes. Okay...most of the time. They get their filthy money bag hands on an interesting, and well-developed book only so they can dumb it down and butcher the crud out of it. It's really disgusting how they can destroy such a wonderful story given enough money incentive. I sincerely hope they do not make another movie, and at this point I doubt they will given the ratings on the first movie. However, I have a feeling part of the those low ratings are due to certain religious opinions. *shakes head sadly* It's fiction people. And many books/movies that have controversial plots are meant to be that way, as they open our eyes and warn us of future paths we may follow. If you've read "1984" you'll know what I mean.
As for the most recent movie I've seen, that would be "Ever After". Yes, I'm a sucker for (clever) romances.
True, but the the Dark Materials trilogy was meant to be an antithesis to the Christian-themed fiction. I'll agree that the series does raise some very good points, and I enjoy its viewpoint in regards to the true identity of God, but to be fair, a lot of people hated the third book. For one, it introduced several dozen new characters. Second, the previously anti-Christian message gets blown out of proportion to the point of parading atheism around like the solution to all of life's problems... which is what the author felt Lord of the Rings and Narnia were doing with religion.
And Ever After is an amusing movie to watch.
Lessee... I just saw Iron Man, and I loved it. I hope the new Hulk movie is good too.
In theatres, the last movie I saw was Prince Caspian for the second time. I think it was pretty good, although I can't say anything about how faithful it was to be book because I cannot remember the book at all.
Then last night I watched The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe on DVD because Caspian made me want to see the first one again.
Faithful to the book? xD Yeah right. They added in the whole romance deal because it's Disney.
So, yeah, last movie I saw in theaters was Prince Caspian. Last movies I saw on TV {first one watched through, second caught the end of after the first was over}: Sky High and Forrest Gump.
OK, & Edit: Most recent movie seen, period, would be the Tiny Toon Adventures movie 'How I Spent My Summer Vacation'. It's a tradition with my sibs and I that, no matter how old we get or how much Adam claims he outgrew cartoons, we watch that movie every June 1. Soo...yeah.
Okayz, yesterday I ended up watching Men In Black on my MP3/Media player because my dad's too cheap to buy me the DVD so he just rips it off and puts it onto a media player. -_- Still, god-awesome Will Smith movie. Second one pale in comparison - MIB1 is teh BOMB!
Tomorrow I shall try to watch some movies I recorded (Sky High and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 1 from the 90's!!)
No, I do not have a life. Can you tell me where to buy one? XD
got bored so I decided to watch the first Indiana Movie, Raiders of the Lost Ark. ah nostalgia. on a side note I found a vid of the Half Life 2 Zombie noises, I wouldn't recommend watching this unless you don't scare easily. or alone in a darken room.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qCFdpOMiCzs
I just saw a completely hilarious movie called "Throw Momma from the Train" with Billy Crystal and Danny DeVito on AMC. It was FUNNY. As in I LAUGHED SO HARD MY SIDES STILL HURT. Go and find it.
Forbidden Kingdom. Jet li + Jackie Chan = martial arts awesomeness...
Even though the movie wasn't their best -_-
I still liked it though.
I like how they avoided calling Goku, Goku, by just referring to him as the monkey king...feh.
The Great Escape. one of the few Historically accurate movies. I would highly recommend it.
Why do I do this to myself? I've seen this movie before but got stuck watching it again when I was channel surfing: "All Quiet on the Western Front". It's a sad, provocative movie =(. But even through the sadness it's a great movie. You may end up watching it in World History (or possibly American History if you're from the US). Also makes me hate war >(.
Sailor Moon SuperS 'Black Dream Hole'
xD have not watched in so long, it's been in the basement and Riley and I don't bother digging it up. But now that we got a new VCR player, and it's summer...yeah.
has anyone else seen indy? i thought is was a great movie!
lets see the last movie i saw in cinemas was on moday night i saw sex and the city
the last one on DVD transformers ^_^
and on youtube (at the cost of most of my monthly download limit) the winx club movie (yes in italian and no i didnt understand much of it)
Eh, I'll wait until I know for sure that the Italian DVD release has an English dub. If not, I'll find it on bittorrent, subtitled. *nods*
Last movie I saw: MIB2. Not as good as the original, but slapstick funny. Still, the villain(ess) wasn't really very good in my opinion. :-/
Yup, especially in contrast with the first MIB villain: a giant cockroach. (Sorry, I just loved that guy/thing/alien/bug.)
I loved the Edgar-suit. *snigger* The actor did such a great job with it.
The whole Victoria-Secret-Biker-Chick thing just didn't work for me. But her lackey the-two-headed-idiot was good for some laughs.
Most recent movie I saw was Beowulf earlier this week. It was okay, but not fantastic. My biggest complaints was CG that reminded me too much of Shrek, and the fact that the hero talked in such goddamn halting tones it got annoying.
I watched 27 dresses tonight!
Are We Done Yet at school
I watched Independence Day yesterday, and despite his melodramatics and pompous patriotism, I still love this movie to death for it's humour, effects and some great actors in great roles.
I re-watched National Treasure Sunday night!
I cant wait to watch the second one, I wont have to wait much longer tho, my cousin is gonna lend it to me
The Little Mermaid--25th anniversary edition.
...Yes, we bought it from Sam's Club for Ava. I swear I didn't buy it for myself. She wouldn't let go of the box...
hmmm.... I watched a tiny bit of harry potter and the chamber of secrets. I think tomorrow I am going to watch all of it, or at least all of the fourth movie or the 5th movie.
Last movie in the theater: Hancock
Last movie" just now watched "interview with the vampire"
last movie in thearter (just finnished 30 mins ago) get smart
The last movie I saw that wasn't at home was The Love Guru.
But, last night I watched the third Harry Potter movie. (:
Wall-E.
Cinderella II-Dreams Do Come True
Again, only reason I watched it was because Ava wanted to watch it. {She pulled out the DVD and said, "I watch this!"}
Well, tonight I watched The Messengers.
Just watched "The Devil Wears Prada" again last night.
Kung fu panda
blue streak
comedy and hilarious
kung fu panda
Hellboy 2. I highly recommend it, as well as Wall-E.
The movie I'm going to see soon: Who Killed the Electric Car?
(a documentary I've been wanting to see for a month.)
Movie most recently seen: Lars and the Real Girl
Bizarre movie...
I've wanted to see The Devil Wears Prada, but have never gotten around to it... I'll have to rent it sometime.
Cinderella II again...xP
*DAW, the mice ARE adorphable Riley, I SWEAR.*
Hell Boy 2. It is awesome, go watch it.
"My Sassy Girl." WATCH IT WATCH IT WATCH IT WATCH IT!!! This is the best live action romantic comedy movie I have ever seen. I couldn't stop laughing, and I actually grew attached to the characters.
It's about this guy who is supposed to go to this town to meet his aunt. His cousin died and he reminds his aunt of her son. The main character meets a girl who is drunk beyond all reason, and almost gets killed by a subway train. He saves her and winds up having to take care of her that night. He keeps running into her and she won't leave him alone. She makes his life hell, and he hates being around her. However, as the movie goes on he starts falling in love with her. It's a great movie. I loved the ending. It's also based off of a true story if you can believe it, and they 'are' making an american remake, and a japanese remake as well I think.
Here's a music video using clips from My Sassy Girl. The song is very fitting. http://youtube.com/watch?v=6TM1You0dC8
It's official, the american version is going to suck so much compared to the original version. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VXsMTxrsQR4&feature=related
School of Rock! I love it!
Tonight I saw Mamma Mia, and I really liked it!
Persepolis was REALLY good, I saw it earlier this month. Plus, I could actually understand some of the French (okay so maybe we had subtitles but STILL). I really recommend y'all see it.
♥
I just finished watching National Treasure Book of Secrets today, its pretyy good
Dark Knight. Everyone should watch this movie. It is the best comic book movie ever created.
tonight i just saw Dark Knight(batman)i really liked it next i want to see Mamma Mia
I saw Dark Knight on Saturday. It was very good! Heath's performaance was brilliant, though for me, Gary Oldman stole the show.
haha i got to see Mamma Mia today i loved it^_^
I'm watching Kung Fu Panda again XP
Wanted-Angelina Jolie
its full of exciting scenes and its a good movie...i recommend it but yeah its rated<18+>
the dark night was such a good movie! (i have seen it twice, but want to go again to an imax) i just saw mamma mia too, i didnt think it was that great.
"The Dark Knight" as well--my favorite movie in a looooong time. I really can't stand most of the stuff that comes out of Hollywood, but my gawd, that is an awesome and intelligent movie!
Titanic. On the note of that I reckon The Dark Knight is only going to possibly overcome Titanic because of Heath Ledger's death. I hope it doesn't because I hated Titanic for a while after loving it and now I love it again! Ah well Dark Knight is good anyway, and I still did like it but not as much as Titanic.
I watched Flight Plan yesterday.
The last movie I saw in a movie theater was step up 2
The last movie I was on television was HSM2 (High School Musical 2)
Just saw Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor. meh, they got a few things right but the over all experience meh. okay on the graphics, okay on the history (slightly), okay on some of the comments made (heh argument over "Fire power"). its not a bad movie, but not a good one either. kinda middle of the road.
I watched Wall-E today, and I can now fully say: Best. Animated. Movie. Ever.
It was cute, breath-taking, romantic (In a good way), funny and Wall-E PWNS every cute robot there ever was.
Plus, it made my inner Sci-Fi fan squeal a lot.
I watched the new Mummy movie last Saturday.
It's decent, if you treat it as an Action Movie. But remember, the original remake (lolz. Contradiction) was meant to carry both the spirit of Indiana Jones in the sense of it being an adventure, and horror movies, since, well... you got an all-but-immortal entity going around, killing people left and right and bringing about the end of the worl.
So in the long run, and in hindsight, it falls tragically flat. Tragically, TRAGICALLY flat, when you think of where the franchise started.
i watched THE MUMMY 3(THE TOMB OF THE DRAGON EMPEROR) today...
its a good movie too ...
I recently saw Mama Mia
The Little Mermaid III: Ariel's Beginning
{...WOW. I THINK I'M OBSESSED. xD unfortunately probably true.}
The devils backbone,
I was it at a sleepover I was sooo scared!
I watched The Devil Wears Prada last night.
an attempt to watch Ghost in the Shell. sadly compy not co-operating to my standards.
Renting movies online.... someone in my family is tampering with the movie queue. *sigh*
I'm waiting to see 'Who Killed The Electric Car' (a documentary).
Just saw The Queen (again).
Are We There Yet
Funny film!
OH YEAH
Just remembered I saw Mummy 3 - Tomb Of The Emperor or something like that >.<
The Little Mermaid III: Ariel's Beginning (I must have really liked the movie, because I watched it online. On YouTube. Part by part. =P)
The Bee Movie
Lol, what?
Just saw 27 Dresses last night. Awesome (but slightly crazy) movie! ^^
last movie in cinemas was TODAY the mummy 3 it was AWSOME cept seeing my ex boyfriend with some other girl that kinda put a damper on things >_<
Wall-E is the most recent movie I'e watch
Love wall-E
bleach dimond dust rebellion was the last movie I have watched
Step up! the first and original! that was the last movie i saw!
I have seen the Duchess. Great movie (love period films)!!!!!!
Iron Man (about a couple of days ago).
I saw Shark Tale (again)
I just saw Rent.
High School Musical 3: Senior Year
This time it's kind of different then the previous 2, as usual it still focus on the main character, but Ashley have much lesser songs to sing and lesser lines to talk. It's like at first I thought it's not fair, but overall I think the movie is great. Not because I'm their fan, it's because the scene of Troy and Gabi's own "prom scene" and the dancing scene. It's great
A Bollywood movie called "Kidnap"
@ Humbu: Have you seen Roadside Romeo? It's a little over-rated, but pretty funny.
*Points at above sentence.* That's the most recent movie I've seen.
the most recent movie i saw was twilight last night i found it to be an awsome movie ^_^
I saw Twilight yesterday^^. Have you read the books? You should, they're great.
uh i bought the book on thursday i've read it twice already and am planing to read it for a third time i'm going to be getting the rest of the books around christmas, i bought the soundtrack yesterday and listen to it over and over again i do belive i am now a bit obssesed and i'm going to see the movie again on saturday
Tee-hee I'm obsessed too. Yay obsessed!
The most recent movie I have seen is The Secret of the lost Kingdom (again)
I went and saw 'Waltz with Bashir' yesterday. To say it was unique is an understatement.
Not much movies for me. Just bought the entire "Walking with" DVD collection of documentaries, and still haven't seen the last series out of the 3 after 7 hours. If you put all together, I can still count as a movie, right? A ducomentary movie still counts. Just finished with the Dinosaurs, later with Beasts or mammals, now moving on to Monsters, whch cover pre-dinosaur times. The part of the carnivore whale was nice, didn't know that before. Yeah, i know, I am a documentary freak.
I'd say that counts. And I'll include watching the "Planet Earth" series I have in my small DVD collection. =)
I saw Madagascar 2, with my friends a few days ago.
A Walk to Remember, wait, no Madeline(it was my guilty pleasure)
i saw twilight and it sucked
well that's you opinion in my opinion it was an awesome movie I've seen it three times now not last Saturday but the Saturday before and the sat before that then i went and saw it again today.
and last saturday i saw Madagascar escape to Africa
HSM3( for the 2nd time) or wait was it 10 Things I Hate About You, did I watch that last night or on Saturday. Eh whatever.
I saw Earth yesterday, a grand tribute to our planet. (And Patrick Stewart is the narrator. *Drools over schmexy voice*)
Rofl@P-Girl. (And the biography Earth is indeed an another awesome BBC production, if that's the one I'm thinking of)
I agree! Patrick Stewart is defined by his awesome (aka: schmexy) voice and his bald head. I'd vote for him as President of the world. lol
Yup, that's the one. My favorite part has GOT to be the one with the little ducklings in their 'Maiden Flight' (Or just falling down with their teeny tiny wings flapping, so hilariously cute)
I haven't seen it yet, but that sounds adorable. Awwwww.
Reminds me of the family of ducks that crossed the main road through my campus. All traffic stopped as the baby ducks fumbled their way across the road. Of course it had to be one of our final's days, but I found it so cute I didn't mind. ^_^
I'm telling you, cuteness OVERLOAD! The music didn't help....
Lol, I think I know the next DVD I'm buying ^^.
Alice in Wonderland.
It's on TV. ^^
Hence the Un-birthday reference earlier. Ahhhhh....
Harry Potter 4
while I was gone (not that anyone noticed) I saw two movies.
Yes Man
The Tales of Despereux.
out of the two I'd Highly recommend Despereux.
and I've got three movies I'm definitely going to go see next year.
I saw Valkyrie. I was afraid it was going to be two+ hours of Tom Cruise being the holy man battling against the dark forces of evil, kinda like what Scientology wishes us to consider them as during their war on sanity, but it was very good. The actors did a good job, and the best thing of all; Tom Cruise fails!
Well, that was a foregone conclusion. But seeing Cruise get the ol' firing squad is always nice.
Lolz, =p
I'm so glad "Cruise" gets screwed in the movie. Not a fan of him whatsover. Last thing I liked him in was Top Gun. That's it. Blah.
Oh, also good to know Asher, regarding The Tales of Despereux. I think I will give it a chance and watch it with a friend. Or since they usually aren't available, go alone. Always feels weird going to a movie theater alone. I did that when I watched the Dark Knight and I automatically kept looking next to me thinking I had someone to go "Oh my god!" to, or more frequently "That *******!".
and I just finished watching Circle of Iron. weirdest kung fu film ever. and the alternate name for the film is the Silent flute.
recent movie(cinema): Winx Club:The Secret of the Lost Kingdom (don't wanna enrage anyone, sorry) ----- though i wanna watch Yes Man..
recent movie(TV): Spiderman 3 (interesting..you rock spidey!)
recent movie(DVD):um...i can't remember i have tons of DVDs at home...LOL
The Spirit was just watched. and much fun was had.
My friend and I just saw Valkyrie also. It was prettyyy intense; especially because the whole time you know they are going to fail, because Hitler wasn't brought down by a conspiracy. So I was really eager to know how it would end.
♥
I have just watched " Heidi " today -I hope that I wrote it right ! ^^
I saw Airplane! Yesterday. Not for everyone, but if you like the type of humor they use (Like me) it's a classic.
@P-girl: I could watch that movie a million times and still love the ridiculous puns and jokes. Go Leslie Nielsen! (along with all the Naked Gun movies).
And now for a piece of well done Hollywood directing. Yes, it's still possible.
From the book Q & A: A Novel by Vikas Swarup, comes the movie "Slumdog Millionaire", an intense look into the life of an orphaned Indian boy, Jamal Malik. The premise? Very unconventional. The direction of the movie wastes no time and is intense (and graphic) from the beginning of the movie. It's not a movie for the weak, but to make a good story violence and horror can be used adequately to educate. (Too bad in my particular movie theater there were only 3 people, including myself. So much for educating the people who really need it...) The story starts as a mix between real time and flashbacks, slowly working its way up to the present time while explaining itself with flashbacks. Yeah, really sorry if that sounds confusing =(. I thought it was very well done, and was intrigued the whole way through the movie. Jamal uses a series of coincidences and experiences in his life to explain why he was able to answer so many questions on the Indian version of "Who wants to be a Millionaire". Much of the movie is hard to watch, hard to look away from, and hard to accept. The slums of India were just what they sounded like, and the hell that Jamal went through was almost enough to put me in tears. Thankfully, the ending is good. Solid happy and good (complete with Bollywood style dance number!) And it's very, very much deserved.
Sorry, the movie is rated "R" for many reasons, but if you ever hear about this in the future and you're finally of age to rent it, check this out. I felt better just watching it and being aware of certain events that take place in the world. Excellent movie.
Phantom of the Opera. Yes, the obsession has reared it's ugly head. I watched it twice in 24 hours.>.<
arrh, wall-e, bought the DVD and it's damm good. worth to watch it again and again
Yesterday, I saw 'Into the wild' with my dad, and while not a bad movie (At all.), due to some.... painful parallels with my life at the moment, I was crying at the end, sobbing 'I wanted to see 'Iron Man'!'
.....
Guess what my next movie will be.
sorry, again wall-E, I just can't get over this damm good animation ^-^
Twilight-Again with my friend who just read the book.
I watched Kiki's Delivery Service today with Sarah.
We watched it twice, once while making Italian cookies just to watch it, the second time on the big TV downstairs, and we were making fun of the dub dialogue with her sister. ...yes we do weird things for fun.
lets see in cinemas today i saw bedtime stories
on dvd today (or rather right now) batman the dark knight
Just finished a little known Disney movie based on a book series.
The Black Cauldron.
Ella Enchanted (Old movie)
A Cinderella story (really old)
Around the world in 80 days
The most recent movie I've seen is the Curious Case of Benjamin Button. (PG13)
In my opinion, it was an excellent movie with one of those bittersweet Titanic endings, so to speak...
I'd definitely recommend it for older movie viewers. ^_^
Bride wars
Love matters (Singapore movie)
Anastasia
{Love this movie~. Shannon thought it was Disney, even though she's seen it before. After it was over, she was like, "Yeah, totally not Disney." xD}
(Ha! My sister also thought it was Disney too. *shakes head dolefully* Not everything well made is Disney, sheesh!)
I think this is technically a movie since it's on DVD so...
Cats the musical! Haha! Feel free to point and laugh if you must. >_> But the songs are awesome.
Ooh! Cats! I used to absolutely LOVE that musical when I was little! I personally wouldn't laugh at all: it's pretty interesting, actually. ^_^ (But, as a note, I am one who would be classified as a 'cat person' rather then a 'dog person').
The most recent movie I've seen is still the Curious Case of Benjamin Button (which is, like I mentioned before, a really nice movie to say the least), but I'm hoping to see The Atom Smashers again soon... (Let us discover more about our world, yes? The government tends to think not...)
Mwahahaha! Let us educate our movie-viewers! DOCUMENTARIES!!!
(sorry).
I agree, I love movies/series that have a "thinking" quality to them. If I come out of a movie feeling deep in thought and enlightened, then it was a good movie.
Went and Saw Coraline today. I found it really enjoyable, people who I saw it weren't enthusiastic about it but they did say it was a good movie.
I heard Coraline was an excellent movie. Pfft, not enthused. Hmph. And Neil Gaiman normally does great stuff. (And no, he never directed the new Beowulf...never. In fact that movie doesn't exist. The end.)
I just rewatched Transformers. It was awesome.
Now I'm rewatching Transformers Armada
Weeeell, I'm SUPPOSEDLY going to see some kind of movie with my friends tomorrow, buuut, seeing as it was randomly arranged...
Anyway, last movie I saw was The Little Mermaid. With Ava~.
Probably Twilight it was okay..... i expected it to be better but it was good but actually I read in this magazine that for NEW MOON there is a diffrent director don't no why and there will be a Midnight Sun book YAH!!!!
At a theater, it was Mall Cop with my brother. It was pretty great.
But Streets of Fire was on TV Sunday night, so I stayed up until 5:00 AM with my mom to watch it. Frigging awesome movie, Nowhere Fast is pretty much one of my most favorites songs out of anything ever.
I just saw Delgo. It was kind of a dissapointment :\
I just saw a movie called Ben x. It was a German movie about a boy who is different from others and i liked it alot.
Jim Henson's Labyrinth, teh AWESOMEST movie of the eighties! (Yes, it beats out the Breakfast Club... because it has David Bowie, David Bowie singing, and goblins!! YEYZ!)
Go watch it. NAO. *nods*
[noguests]Harry Potter 5 [/noguests]
@Linnea: ...DID YOU JUST SAY LABYRINTH? I *love* that movie!
Confessions of a Shopaholic
{It was good. Not much like the books, but good.}
My mom and I watched The Dark Knight and The Mummy Returns on Friday. Both awesome movies.
Don't know if it counts, but I've finally watched the 'Burn-E' short on my Wall-E DVD.
Most epic fixing of a light EVER, including allusions to 2001: a space Oddesey [sic] and 'Ode to joy' playing once it's finished. FTW.
Had to watch The Mummy since I watched Mummy Returns XD STILL an awesome movie, even if it's ten years old!
Tonight my mom and I plan to watch Van Helsing. Interesting fact: Both it and The Mummy opened on my birthday :3
Promise of the Rose [Sailor Moon R movie]
{And then Shannon and I had a great phone debate on whether Power of Love or Moon Revenge is better. We finally decided they were two separate spectrums, and could not be compared. xD}
I saw the movie *Johnny English* it was really funny and good. I couldn't stop laughing at the final scene's XD
Annie: The song Power of Love? It gets stuck in my head liek woah
The last movie I saw was Pink Panther 2, with my friends a few days ago. It was hilarious! ^^
I watched the last part of Twister last night. Hilarious in an unintentional way. It's fairly obvious that the director has never stepped foot in the midwest. And there are evil sellout corporate meteorologists. GASP
Twister.... *Sighs dreamily* My first dumb action movie.... man, now I feel nostalgic. *Goes off to watch 'Independance day'*
Edward Scissorhands, for the first time and I luffed it!(Granted, me being me, I love stories like that)
Don't you mean "Coraline"? XD
As for me, there was a Harry Potter movie marathon on last night on ABC Family. So what d'ya think I watched? ^-^
Finally saw Wall-e today. It's a cute movie~!
shrek 2, it played on TV ^^
i just love Puss In boots, esp. the scene where he shows the cute kitty eyes
Just saw Iron Man with my dad, today.
.....
EOFRNELFWEIFJWEO!
And they say the Dark Knight is even better then this? This one pushed so many of my 'Hell Yeah!'-buttons I short-circuited.
Iron Man was indeed ASLDKJHALSDFSLADKNAELRKDNALSDFKJ awesome. XD I saw it three times, and I was always sleepy afterward because the movie got me so pumped while I was watching it.
Watched a movie called The Last Dragon at about 5:00 AM this morning. It was made in 1985, and oh my does it show XD The clothes and music are VERY...well...'80s. The best part: it's actually a kung fu movie. It's pretty much hilarious, I'd highly reccomend it.
Watched Alice in Wonderland on TV today.
{Why do they keep playing this movie? Why not Beauty and the Beast or something...?}
Just watched my newly Twilight DVD which I bought 2 days ago
Romantic, even though it's not really one of my favorites. I like the movie, but there's somethings kinda bother me there
I just saw Race to Witch Mountain in theaters. It was ok, not the best though...
[noguests]I'm in the middle of a Bollywood movie called Delhi-6 [/noguests]
I watched Shrek on tv and another movie called A guy thing, it was was hilarious.
they were both awesome movies!
While technically a series, I've been watching the DVD of Afro Samurai with a pal of mine.
Not for the faint-hearted (Very, VERY gory), but hot darn, it's good. Highly stylised, terrific animation, Samuel L. Jackson as the voice of the titular, erm..... hero, a surprising mix of Feudal Japan, Cyberpunk and Hip-hop (And it WORKS!), and practically living and breathing the rule of cool. (I still have to discover the point of a fusion between an old-fashioned crossbow and an effing grenade launcher, other then it looks awesome.)
Watched an early 90's movie called Stay Tuned.
Entertaining, but not quite as great as Mom and Dad Save the World.
Monster-in-Law.
ROFL the WHOLE TIME, MAN.
That was the line of the movie, if ever there was one I remembered. At one point in everyone's life you need to watch that movie, and possibly the Naked Gun movies as well? It's a milestone, really. Show some love for puns and the like! And by the way, don't call me Shirley.
I loved those movies.
'Ever since then, I had a drinking problem' *Splash*
[noguests]We're in the middle of Clash of the Titans for English class, Greek mythology unit. [/noguests]
I finished Roxy Hunter: The Myth of the Mermaid 11 minutes ago! (My 2nd time watching it)
[noguests]Troy [/noguests]
Last night...
Totally watched 'Robin Hood:Men in Tights'
:3
last movie i watched was twilight i finnaly got the dvd yesterday ^_^
i saw a bunch of movies but i forgot their names XD
Cardcaptor Sakura - The Sealed Card
{At least, I *think* that's the last movie I watched...I don't remember yesterday or today before noon much at all...T_T}
You bet. Pixar was right to rope Brad Bird in.
[noguests]Jason and the Argonauts in English Class. [/noguests]
The last movie I've seen was Transformers... twice... at school... in 2 different classes... -.-
You watch Transformers at school?!
Uhm, explain, cause I don't really see the educational value of it.....
If I recall correctly Boo is studing Animation (Correct?) so she may have had to watch the movie to understand how the artists did what under certain circumstances.
Oh, right, got it. Thanks.
or it could be an end of school thing when all the exams are over and nothing left to teach
[noguests]Lol I'm watching Matrix in school right now (not at the moment =P, we watched some today and will continue tomorrow). [/noguests]
Or, she might just go to a school like mine where if we didn't have anything planned/were bored, we'd watch random movies. Finding Nemo was a popular choice in middle school...
Watched the MST of "Final Sacrifice" (with ZAP ROWSDOWER: GREATEST CANADIAN HERO) on Friday with my brother, and then last night we watched "The Touch of Satan". Possibilities for tonight: "Future War" or "Merlin's Shop"
I also really want to see the RiffTrack of Twilight.
Rowsdower...oh Rowsdower. *swoons*
Back off Zhn. He's all mine >(
Cloverfield
{I saw it once before, last year, during the choir trip. Which means I've now seen it twice, thanks to Shannon on Saturday. Which means that's been one of the worst ways I've spent 168 minutes of my life. If you liked it, I'm sorry, I absolutely did not.}
Slumdog Millionaire.
Y'know, I first went to this movie to do my father a favour (He has a strong connection to India, works in an Ashram (Village for Orphans) there)..... But darn, this movie is GOOD! I reccomend it to everyone, and officially will file a request for 'The American Dream' to be changed into the 'Indian Dream.'
And the soundtrack is made of all kinds of awesome.

i don't watch movies often and i tend to forget the names XD im addicted to a anime called saint seiya *runs to watch saint seiya*
I just saw Hellboy II; the Golden Army.
Guillermo Del Toro has got to be my favorite director of all time. He manages to combine surreal imaginery. (The Troll market! The tooth fairies! The titular Golden Army! Not to forget all the main heroes!) with surprisingly real human emotions. (The Liz/Hellboy and the Nuala/Abe love, the Hellboy/Abe and Krauss/Abe friendship and the Krauss/Hellboy rivalry/animosity.)
Kudos also go to both Ron Perlman, Seth McFarlane and Doug Jones, the actors (Voice actor in Seth's case) of respectively Hellboy, Dr. Krauss and Abe Sapiens, for bringing a sense of realism and livelyhood to said characters, even under tons of make-up and CGI.
This movie is fantasy at it's best.
Oh, and Kittens! So many cute kittens!
[noguests]The Odyssey. [/noguests]
Aside from the Barbie movies that I watch everyday with my two year old niece; the last movie I watched that I haven't seen 3057628076234762534 times was Death Race.
T'was freakin' awesome! It was like... MARIO KART!!!!!!! but more gore and no blue shells ; ^;
I saw Garfield the movie it was awesome! I also saw Yugioh the movie it was also pretty cool.
[noguests]I just finished watching the Odyssey in English class. (Seriously! Like the last 5 movies I've watched were in Enlgish class!) [/noguests]
The Da Vinci Code. It was on tv. Just ended like a half hour ago accually.
*War of worlds* it was awesome! but the ending was kinda dumb...
REPO! The Genetic Opera
It was kinda awesome, actually.
Less gore than I was expecting though.
Angels & Demons
'Earth' Again. Patrick Stewart gets my vote for 'Best voice EVAR.'
'Fido'
It was really great. Makes me want my own pet zombie!
Last night it was
Prom Night (The original from 1980)
And The Gate
Lots of movies with horror themes lately.
POCAHAUNTAS! WOOO!!!
Po.Ca.Hon.Tas.
Not a 'U' in sight.
Pocahontas.
Last night it was 'The Lost Boys'.
That's been one of my faves since I was a little girl.
And FYI, Kiefer makes a WAY better vampire than Robert. TIMES INFINITY.
Singh Is King
i saw a movie called It's a boy/girl thing
was a nice movie lots of funny moments
Just watched The Princess Diaries for the zillionth time with my mom.
Last night for the first time I saw 'The Karate Kid'.

Tonight was a friends birthday, and thus, horror movie night.
So it was...
Poultrygeist: Night of the Chicken Dead *Weirdest most gory movie I have EVER watched. Highly recommended! =D *
And
Trailer Park of Terror *probably the first horror movie in history to feature a demolition derby*
Watched 'Bedtime Stories' on DVD.
resident evil degenarition.... it was pretty creepy
Boondock Saints
You know, if they took out all the cursing, the movie would be about half the length it is now. Still, it wouldn't be Boondocks Saints if they didn't cuss every other word.
Let the Right One In (Swedish vampire movie. Very good, a lot more interesting that that other 'vampire' movie I shall not name)
Bend it Like beckam on TV
I saw 101 Real Dalmations again.
The movie's so-so, but Meryl Streep as Cruella Deville? I can, without a doubt say she's the best animated character turned flesh. She's stylish, cruel and actually makes two-tone hair look good. I mean...
Hot Damn. Talk about an actor stealing the movie.
(( Um, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought Glenn Close played Cruella de Vil...? (That is, as long as you're talking about the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/101_Dalmatians_(1996_film) of the film.) ))
I just saw Night At The Museum 2 today; I took my friends out for my birthday party... Two words for that movie: SRSLY funneh. ^^
((..... Oops. Sorry, I confuse those two.....No miracle Google Image search dissapointed me.))
Soylent Green
And...
The 40-Year-Old Virgin
I saw the Dark Knight for the first time tonight......
*Takes deep breath*
While an impressive film, I prefer both Iron Man and Hellboy II. Why? Bright Visuals. I don't mind darkness, grittiness and reality, but Dark Knight takes it overboard. That, and it takes to long.
Oh, and another thing:
I taught Michael Caine and Gary Oldman acted rings around Heath Ledger.
Now I'm off to hide from the Joker fanites, they can be quite rabid.
Bowling for Columbine
I'm gonna watch that! lolz
Mississippi Burning
Sorry, when names are misspelled, I tend to spazz.
Re-watching 'Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone'
Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure
