GLOBAL HIT ANIMATED SERIES WINX CLUB COMES TO NICKELODEON, STARTING MONDAY, JUNE 27, AT 8 P.M.
Hour-Long Specials Feature Voice Talents of Nickelodeon’s Keke Palmer, Matt Shively, Elizabeth Gillies and Ariana Grande

Burbank, Calif. – June 9, 2011 – Nickelodeon brings even more magic to its air this summer with the hit international series, Winx Club, beginning Monday, June 27, at 8 p.m. (ET/PT). Launching first with four one-hour specials, followed later this year with a weekly series, Winx Club focuses on six best friends enrolled in fairy school as they face many adventures together with strength, smarts and teamwork. Culled from the first two seasons of the Italian hit series from Rainbow S.p.A, the four specials include state-of-the-art visual effects and feature the voices of some of Nick’s biggest stars, including: Keke Palmer (True Jackson, VP) as Aisha; Elizabeth Gillies (Victorious) as Daphne; Ariana Grande (Victorious) as Diaspro; and Matt Shively (True Jackson, VP) as Skye; as well as Molly Quinn (Castle) as Bloom. Cymphonique Miller (How to Rock) performs the show’s theme song, “Winx You’re Magic Now.”

The four specials will premiere monthly through the fall, followed by a weekly series of Winx Club seasons three and four, both featuring the new Nick voice talent. Nickelodeon and Rainbow are currently in production on 52 additional episodes of original 2D/CG-animated seasons five and six, which are scheduled to bow in 2012.

“Winx Club is all about girl power,” said Brown Johnson, President, Animation, Nickelodeon and MTVN Kids and Family Group. “It focuses on a group of super-fashionable fairies whose friendship and teamwork empower them to face any challenge thrown their way – from scary monsters to evil witches.”

Winx Club is an animated modern fantasy adventure series that follows six best friends — Bloom, Stella, Flora, Musa, Tecna and Aisha — enrolled in Alfea College, the finest fairy school in all the realms. When trouble arises, the Winx transform into beautiful fairies who use their unique magical powers to fight villains and save the world from evil. Winx Club first debuted in Italy six years ago and quickly became a hit that has generated an international franchise of toys, books, clothing, and DVDs, as well as a CG-animated feature film.

Bloom (Quinn) is the most powerful fairy and leader of the Winx. She has an inborn ability to sense danger, combined with a lively intelligence and a deep sense of loyalty. As the fairy of the waves, Aisha (Palmer) is fearless, determined, energetic, and a sports enthusiast. Skye (Shively) is the leader of the Specialists, a group of teenage boys from a neighboring school who befriend the Winx fairies and fight alongside them to battle evil. The fairy sister of Bloom, Daphne (Gillies), sacrifices her life in order to keep Bloom safe and sometimes appears to her sister as an advisor. And, Diaspro (Grande), a somewhat materialistic princess who can be difficult at times.

In support of the specials, beginning June 23, kids can visit Nick.com to play Winx Club: Enchantrix, a magic-themed animated game, where players can select and dress a Winx Club character to help guide them through environments and adventures all their own. Petpet Park, Nickelodeon’s virtual life fantasy world inspired by the iconic virtual world pioneer, Neopets and its popular companion characters Petpets, is offering a special virtual item giveaway. Players who visit Petpet Park from June 16-30 will receive a free Winx Club magical charm bracelet for their Petpets.

Nickelodeon will be updating a new Winx Club Game on the Official USA Site called Winx Club: Enchantix on June 23rd, 2011. Be there next Thursday to check out the game, USA Fans. ^_^

For Petpet Park Users, the game will be offering a special Winx Club Magical Charm Bracelet for the PetPets from June 16-30. Another Lucky for you. xD (I don't have one.)

I'm not sure about other Countries who are waiting for the Winx Club on Nickelodeon, keep checking and inform us. ^_^

This morning, I saw a new trailer of the Winx Club in Nick. Nothing much new, they just show the the 5 girls of the Winx Club of Bloom, Stella, Flora, Musa, and Tecna. Not yet with Aisha/Layla. Thanks for the information, I am not surprised we have not seen Layla yet as she is not in season 1. So hopefully all Nickolodeon have done is changed the cloths of the winx and not the story.

That image, while great, should not be used to detirmine the rest of the cast. I looked up those names and found that Dan, Michael, and Amy all work on the properties of 4Kids Entertainment, and other companies. Cathy is a voice actress who works for distributing companies FUNimation, and Marathon Productions. Dan Green provided the voice of Sky and Michael Sinterniklaas provided the voice for Riven for the 4Kids dub. I could not find any connection with Cathy Weseluck and Amy Birnbaum to the Winx Club. Wkw427, it looks like there is more names that is listed. If you could, please list those names. If Molly Quinn is listed as part of the cast, then you might have discovered the rest of the cast. Until then, I have my doubts that any of those people on the list are part of the new Nickelodeon cast of the Winx Club.

Just to Update some of the Voice Actors for the Nick Dubbing; I have found four who announced their characters - and potentially 2 others although still waiting confirmation on them.

Three of the following were listed in the credits and I began to search through the list of actors/actresses trying to place names with characters. During my search, Will Blagrove tweeted about being apart of the Winx Show; yet his name was not mentioned. I found a somewhat article from Will's website announcing who Will Blagrove will be playing; and mentioning that David Faustino was apart of the cast as well. Although the article wasn't organized well it indeed said;

"Working on Winx Club - New Animated Series for Nickelodeon starring Keke Palmer (True Jackson VP), David Faustino (Married w/Children’s Bud Bundy), and Ariana Grande (Victorious) playing the role of Nabu..."

I have searched David's website, twitter and facebook to see if this was true. At first, I only found out he is voicing a cartoon, but then came across on his website an interview of his current projects; He said he is voicing over for a cartoon on Nickelodeon; but did not give the specific cartoon. Guess we will have to wait to truly see if Winx is the cartoon even if Blagrove's Website says it is. :]

As for the two who still remain under question of their characters; Wikipedia has up the VAs of Kiko and Knut.

Indeed, you weren't the only one who found that odd! Yet, somehow when I saw his twitter page - I had one good feeling he was Riven; and indeed he confirmed it. Lol.

Though, I am still working on figuring out who is who in the first Special, an actress revealed just this afternoon who she will be playing in what is most likely the same special Keke is most likely planned to make her entrance. This actress is playing two Pixies!

Georgina Cordova known for voicing characters in video games such as X-Men Origins, Sims 3; in television shows as minor characters in King of the Hill, but also has done films such as The Lion of Judah. She will now be apart of the Nick crew for Winx Club.

Georgina will be voicing Digit and Piff. [which makes sense if they keep Piff speaking jibberish - that is all the Sims do]
