In The dirtiest part of Bronx, New York lies The Gunther Orphange. Which has a reputation for being one of the most strict and abusive orphanges around. It's rare that any child get adopted from the orphange, but every once in a while a child does. Today is Mercedes first day, after having her family die in a house fire. Making her way around the orphange, she saw that the floors were dirty, walls were peeling and had this disgusting odor that smelled like bananas and pee.

Name: Mercedes
Age:15
Personality: Mercedes has a mellow personality, it was like that before and after the accident. But now she is going to be more reserved.
Appearence:
Life Before the Orphange: Mercedes attended regular high school for dancing, but often couldnt keep up to the standards of everybody else because of her home life affecting her performances. Her family went bankrupt and her father abandoned them, which really hurt mercedes. Her mother eventually found a new boyfriend, who was quite abusive. He would always verbally abusive mercedes which brought down her confidence alot. Then one day a fire broke out and everybody died except for her.
Reason For being in the Orphanage: Recently came to the orphange after her house burned down. Some think she started the fire, but infact she was never there. Honestly, she was happy when her family was gone, but then she realized she was lonely. Mercedes childhood wasnt the best, hopefully by going to the orphange she will find a nice family to stay with.

Age: 15
Personality: Margaret is an extreme perfectionist, and rarely accepts help from anyone. She's very protective of Jenna and doesn't know what she would do without her.
Appearance: Margaret has shoulder length, dark auburn hair and tons of freckles. which she loathes. She has hazel eyes and is 5'4"
Life Before the Orphange: Before arriving at the orphanage, Margaret lived in a very high class part of New York, with her parents and 7 month old sister, who she loved very much. She'd always want to hold and play with her, and didn't ever want to go anywhere without her. She was also doted on by her parents, who would do anything for their daughters. They were very much, the perfect family.
Reason For being in the Orphanage: When Margaret was 4 years old, her house mysteriously caught on fire one night. Margaret was rescued by the fire department, and became the only survivor. Since she had no live relatives, Margaret was left in the Guther Orphanage. Heartbroken over the death of her family, she had a hard time adjusting to life in the orphanage. 4 years later, a baby arrived at the orphanage. Nameless and alone, Margaret named her Jenna and cared for her as a sister. Because of this, Jenna grew up believing that Margaret was her real sister. Margaret still hasn't had the heart to tell her.

Personality: Jenna is a full blown optimist. She can find the bright side in any situation, and is always looking out for Margaret.
Appearance: Jenna has short, dark brown hair. She has dark brown eyes and is extremely tall for her age, only 3 inches shorter than Margaret at 5'1''
Life Before the Orphanage: Nothing is known about Jenna's past before the orphanage, as she was abandoned.
Reason For being in the Orphanage: Jenna arrived at the orphanage when she was a few months old. As long as she can remember, Jenna has had Margaret. Even though they look nothing alike, and it's obvious to everyone except Jenna that their related, Jenna still thinks that Margaret is her only family.

Age: 10
Personality: Withdrawn, shy, hardly ever speaks. And if he does, you'll notice his speech is to mature and flat for a kid his age.
Appearance: A small Asian boy in simple, slightly damaged clothes.
Life Before the Orphange: Shinji came from an abusive house-hold. His father beat him up and his mother just let it happen, this resulted in him being very weary and mistrusting of people, developing a cynical edge at a young age.
Reason For being in the Orphanage: Child services got him out of his house, but couldn't find a suitable foster home.

Age: 14
Appearance: On the tall side and average weight for his age. He has brown eyes and a black buzz cut.
Life Before the Orphange: A typical teenage life. He had a sister who was a few years older than him, and he went to highschool. He was a decent student, and didnt get in trouble alot though he had a sense of adventure hidden deep within him.
Reason For being in the Orphanage: There was a violent home invasion one night where 4 masked men broke into his house. They killed his parents and he couldnt do anything about it. When he tried to stop them from killing his sister they tied him up and tortured him, killing her before his eyes and then leaving him to die. He was rescued however after the men fled when the police arrived. After being treated for his injuries he was sent to Gunther Orphanage. All that remains of the massacre is the scar of a slash across his chest, and vivid memories which haunt him constantly. The masked men were never caught.
Personality: Used to be really outgoing and with lots of friends. After what happened, he became a lot more to-himself, and lost touch with those few friends who stuck by him. Now he's generally friendly on the outside but deep down he's permanently crushed, which is a side he very rarely shows.
Other: Despite knowing he did eveything he could, the events of that night repeatedly play through his head and he is constantly thinking about what he should have done, could have done differently, etc. He hates himself for being the only survivor when the rest of his family didnt make it. He is also constantly debating to himself what he would do if he ever encountered those men again, and whether he himself should go looking for them. His biggest secret is that he knows where he could find the men. They had let something slip, and for reasons even he's not sure about he did not tell the police. He is in denial about the fact that deep down he knows the reason why; he had saved them for himself, saved them for when he gets the right chance for revenge.

Age: 16
Personality: Takes care of the younger kids but is truly just angry and wishes he could help the kids more
Appearance: JT has a scar across both his wrists which he hides with a cheap watch and a sweat band. normaly wears black baggy pants and a black tee-shirt with a red disign on it, usually something to do with his mood.
Life Before the Orphange: he was contantly abused and the day before he was sent to the orphanage, he turned 3 and his mother cut both his wrists aswell as hers, he survived but she didnt.
Reason For being in the Orphanage: Abuse, abandomment, and his mother died after his dad left.

Personality: Estelle was always the perfect daughter but when she was sent to the orphanage, she became more rude towards men and more withdrawn but she has a soft spot for childern in the orphange
Appearance:
Life Before the Orphange: Estelle had a wonderful life loving mother and father and a little brother, whom she always spent time with.
Reason For being in the Orphanage: Estelle's father came home one night drunk, her mother got on his case about it. So her father took a knife and killed her to shut her up. Estelle's brother was crying so her father killed him tried killing Estelle then himself. She has a scar along her right shoulder that leaves her remebering that night. Because of that she has a hate towards men.

[NICE NOW LETS START THIS THING]

Mercedes was given a tour of the orphanage,"Here we have the Main Room, where the children come watch tv, play games and do whatever else that amuses them" said the Director. All Mercedes saw was dirty walls, ripped up carpets, and small children passing a ball back and forth.

As they made there way into the bedrooms, Mercedes jaw dropped. There was nothing but barefloor and bunk beds everwhere at least 12 in the small room. The director was talking, but she didnt pay any attention. With her bags in her hands she continued to follow the director until they reached her bed. Mercedes was skeptical about putting her bags on the bed, because she saw flies and all other types of bugs. "Dinner will be served in a couple of hours, there is a basket ball court outside" with that The Director walked off. Mercedes took a deep breathe, and sat on the bed.

Shinji sat in the main room, just.... sat. He didn't play, and just looked around. When someone new was introduced, he looked up slightly and gave his 'Death-stare'. It wasn't even as if he was trying to look creepy. It was just.... built in.

Jay had been lying down in his bed when Mercedes had entered. He got up onto one elbow to see who the new person was. Seemed to be a girl about his age. Oh well, nothing special there, there wasnt exactly any shortage of them. Most of the time if he were to talk to someone, they would have to start the conversation, and he kept by that policy here too.

Mercedes just looked around at the children, nobody gave her the welcoming speech. She got up and silently walked into the bathroom, "oh my god!" she said entering the bathroom; it was disgusting bugs everywhere and the fact that the bathroom looked like it hasnt been clean for months."wow, just wow"

"Welcome to hell." Shinji said to the near hysterical girl. Yeah, he followed them. Felt like something more productive then just sitting around.
