For some reason, sometimes, when I'm trying to access the forums, or view a sub-forum or even just a topic thread, I seem to be getting hit with a 'Log In' message:



It's been happening nearly every time I've tried to do something in the forum today, and it is getting on my nerves!! I've tried entering my username and password, but it then tells me that I have inputted the wrong information. I've clicked cancel, but that just takes me to an "Unauthorized" pages.

Though after several times of faffing about, it does let me go to the place that I want to go, it's just really really annoying!!

Similar thing is happening to me too, and I think everyone, although my pop-up is slightly different. It happened before for a while too, but then the problem got fixed, but it started again today. A few minutes ago it happened so much that I just left the computer, and now when I've come back 10-15 mins later it hasnt happened yet for about 5 mins. I hope it stays this way.

By the way, just a tip until the problem goes away, copy your message before you click "add reply", because it happens most often to me when I try to post, and then I lose the message.

Yeah, I agree. But it seems to have stopped now, I havent gotten one since I mentioned in my post above. Watch, as soon as I post this, I'm gonna get one of those popups XD

This has happened on at least 3 separate occasions before for me. I think (?) it just has to do with the site being updated, either by the admins or the server. Usually it just passes after an hour or so. I have a feeling this will happen once in a while in the future. oh well *shrug*

The admin. are doing something to fix that, but for now I guess we'll just have to live with it.

(Hint: If the login window pops up, click cancel. Then, on the original window, it'll say you're not authorized to view the page. But, when that happens, try refreshing the page, It usually works for me.)

it works sometimes but you might get it again and again. then just give that a break and try again after a few minutes.

Well until you or someone else gets a chance, its good to know how to handle it if you're not sure. Plus, sometimes its really hard to do that if it keeps coming up and wont go away.

Yeah, it happened, but only like twice, its not so bad at the moment. It doesnt happen repeatedly, if u just "x" the window and click refresh, its fine (atleast it was both times for me).

have you ever logged off then closed that tab(i normally have 2 or more tabs) then like 35 internet windows pop up

I know how that feels, it happens to my laptop but not very often.

Wow, I thought that was only a problem I had, but I'm glad you brought it up. It happens fairly often for me and although its easy to get rid of (it just takes like 2 minutes), its pretty annoying. I dont know why it happens though...

Well, since it happens pretty rarely, my guess is it happens when the admin debug the site. That's why it always asks you to log in, because when they're doing maintenance, only the admin can log in, or something...

(But this is just a guess, I don't know the actual reason...)
