Hey Guys,
I need help with scanning pics into a computer using a printer. I know it can be done but I have little knowledge of this kind of thing. Could someone please help me? I need a step by step process and then someone needs to explain how to find the picture once I'm done either in folders or on the web. Thanks! thumbsup.gif

You can't scan pictures using a printer. You need a scanner. (or those all-in-ones)

A printer prints
A scanner scans
A dancer dances
And a typewriter, amazingly, types AND writes!

Can't be done

Actually, there are certain printers that double as scanners. But are you sure you have that kind of a printer?

Yes, I do have the printer and scanner combo. I've seen my dad do it a ton of times. Could you tell me the steps?

Okay, I figured out how to scan, but the picture comes up colorless. Any help? It's a Dell printer with photo 944 if anyone knows what that means. This is the link to the picture of my printer. Please help!

Well, I had this printer for over 7 years and we don't usually keep manuals, so I gonna say no, I don't know where it is. Do you know of a site that might help?

Never mind. I just figured it out. All I had to do was go to options and change the setting to color. What a relief. icon_smile.gif

Grrr. If only my printer/scanner loved me as much.

It used to work, but then my dad had to update the software on our computer. Now, it decided it doesn't want to scan. Aw well. My new Mac shall come any day now. I'm sure it'll work then.
