Here it is! Chapter 3.
Chapter 3: Pacifists to Specialists
"Helia," says Jason, very seriously. "Have you told her?"
"Told her about what?"
"That you are a-" Jason stopped abruptly. They were halfway into the woods, and there was an unmistakable feel of dark magic in the air.
Helia stopped too. They tensed, and went back-to-back against each other. Jason reached for his swords. Helia raised his left hand out of habit. Jason stared at him out of the corner of his eye, then said dryly:"Your left hand would be a lot more useful if you were actually weilding your sword."
Helia blinked. "Old habits" he murmered, but he drew his sword.
As suddenly as it had come, the tension in the air vanished.
Jason frowned. Experience told him to wait, instinct told him to get into a battle stance. They waited a while longer, but whoever that had gave out that dark aura was gone.
He sheathed his swords, only to find Helia already walking. "Hurry," he called over his shoulder. "Let's just go before they come back."
Jason rolled his eyes to heaven. "Excuses!" he called out to Helia. Nevertheless, he followed Helia as they went further into the woods. They walked on, until they came to a forked path. One turned left. The other was straight on. Instead, the boys walked to the right and started brushing flora out of the way. Another pathway appeared, but it was so well hidden that almost everyone just walk past it. The boys went in that direction, which led to a pleasant waterfall cascading down into a small pool.
Jason walked directly in front of the waterfall. He holds out his right hand, and concentrated on finding an object. He hand seemingly hit solid water. Smiling, Jason yanked at that solid water, and a sack landed on the grass.
Helia opened the sack. Inside were miniature versions of fairy wings, and there were hundreds of them...

Codatorta sat on the bench outside his room and thought hard. Removal of Status! Finally, and after so long.
Helia and Jason were taught by Professor Codatorta at the age of 18, 5 years ago. Helia's hair was still short then. Not in the short, dolly-dolly kind of way. As in the short, cool kind of way. Both boys were friends instantly, both with mischievious, cocky attitudes. Brilliant students, Codatorta treated and boasted about them like his own sons. And being so immensly brilliant and so immensly smart, the boys very soon became the trouble-makers of Redfountain. But no matter the errors, Codatorta was always the one to plead Headmaster Saladin not to give them heavy punishment. Saladin agreed, but again and again, the boys created trouble. Impulsive, reckless boys like them just weren't meant to sit still and listen. As Saladin's tolerance stretched to a breaking point, so did Codatorta's desperation. And in the end, for everything that they had done, Saladin imposed the authority on the boys. The other 3 headmasters agreed, and from then on, Helia and Jason became pacifists. Their swords were confiscated. No bloodshed would be tolerated from them. Codatorta only taught them for 2 years, but they were the best, although chaotic, years he ever had in Redfountain.
"You'll ruin their future!" Codatorta had howled in front of the headmasters. "Helia had just been accepted as a student of Metratron! METRATRON!! The best school for the best pilots in the whole of Magix! He is GOING THERE already! He'll be there TOMORROW. And you just took it all away from him! YOU TOOK YOUR GRANDSON'S FUTURE AWAY FROM HIM, SALADIN!!"
Here, Codatorta paused for breath. Metratron specialises in aerial fighting. You get your ship, load you cannons, get up in the air and start firing them. It is a very professional school, only the very best were accepted.
"Helia will still go to Metratron." says Saladin in his calm, let's-not-agitate-ourselves way. For some reason that only added to Codatorta's temper.
"HOW WILL HE LEARN AERIAL FIGHTING IF HE ISN'T SUPPOSED TO FIGHT?!!"
It was then where Saladin said that if Codatorta was going to continue his shouting, there was no point in continuing their discussion. He added that Helia and Jason ARE going to be pacifists, no matter what, and if their attitudes change for the better, they WILL get their positions as specialists back.
This was when Codatorta stormed out of the headmaster's room, muttering about a "raving lunatic barking nonsense out of his mouth".
At least now, he observed, the boys are specialists again.
That's the end of Chapter 3. In Chapter 4, I will go into detail on exactly what life was like with Jason and Helia as classmates.
