Believe it or not, you're lucky. icon_razz.gif I've had mine on for 4 years and still have no idea when they're coming off.
In fact, they just put this insanely annoying and painful wire on my bottom teeth today... x_x What's worse? They told me I'd get used to it... Yeah; I'll get used to this wire that is sticking outward and is cutting the inside of my mouth every time I talk. Thhhaaannnkkks wacko.gif
I wish mine were coming off as soon as that!!! *cries*

Omg, I can barely talk right now. My braces have cut up the entire left hand side of my mouth. It's the second most painful braces induced injury I've ever had. There's like an indent of my wire all along the side of my mouth. Ah!

Oh, and now I don't even know it their coming off in September because my elastics refuse to do anything at all. *Sniffles* I don't know if I can take this anymore!

Hang in there braces peeps. You know sooner or later they WILL come off. It is a discomfort you KNOW will come to an end. Sometimes just knowing some particular suffering has an endpoint can sometimes give us the reserves of patience and energy to withstand it.

I had braces. My orthodontist said that I had the most stubborn teeth she had ever seen. XD

I'm 5'6". I was suppose to be minimum 5'8". It doesn't help that I have a female cousin whose 5'10" and another one whose 6'0".

To people who have braces: Just imagine what perfect teeth you will have when you take them off. ^.^

I hope I stop growing. I'm a exception to stereotyped asian girl who are short and petite.

I personally am starting to think, four years later, that perfect teeth are not worth it. My teeth look alright now... just take the braces off, please!!! icon_mrgreen.gif
Although, it definitely could be worse. My friend had her braces on for six years, and when they did come off, she had to undergo surgery on her jaw... Eek!

@ Teagan: Eeek! That sounds painful. x_x
Has your orthodontist ever given you dental wax to cover up annoying wires? They help the cutting-into-mouth-constantly situation some... (though sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't...)

Put this one up on the board for another imperfection:
I can't sing... at all...
Actually, I used to be able to sing decently to a point, but my chorus teacher in middle school quickly rid of my love for it...

Oh yeah. I'm down to my 2nd last piece of wax though, and since Whitehorse isn't a huge town, we don't have an orthodontist here 24/7. He comes up every month from Vancouver. Right now, he's not here, and the next time I see him in September, my braces are "coming off" he says (though I'm beginning to have doubts...)

@Jah: Yeah my cousin has that after her braces were off earlier this year... She says she has to wear it for fifteen years 0_0 That's like, until she's thirty.

*blinkblink* Fifteen years? Whoa. I was supposed to get my retainers taken out last year, but for a combination of reasons it hasn't been done yet...

[EDIT: typo.]

No kidding!

I do hope she was exaggerating... otherwise... wow! Wow... blink.gif That's a ridiculously large amount of time.

FIFTEEN! That seems too long to be true unless her teeth are that bad....I'd rather get many surgeries if possible if it was ever going to be for fifteen years. Plus, I haven't even lived fifteen years. How sad. ><
