This is the exact opposite about what I wanted to hear. It is good none the less, but I still get more entertainment about people writing fake stories

Give me hope, I'm a twisted person

Not exactly the same thing, but it's lines like those that I really love. If only because there's still a place in today, when there's so many ridiculously grim and gritty anti-heroes, for someone who believes in justice and will fight for it no matter what.

No... it fits perfectly. Because fictional or not, the good in people is always something I feel should be cherished.

@wkw thoughs initials are not appropriate for this forum

I do prefer happy rather than sad stories. Though there always seems to be more of the latter around

The first one here made me cry.

Today, I was at knitting club.

I am the youngest member at only 17 yrs. When an 80-yr-old asked me about my grandma, I started crying telling her how my grandma never loved me. She smiled at me and said, "I've never had grandkids, can I be your honorary grandma?"

The next day she brought me cookies because that's what my grandma should do. GMH

So did this one.

And I know another one did majorly, but I can't remember which now.

Not from Gives Me Hope, but it might as well be:

On the subway, there was this elder blind man, trying to get on board. However, the doors shut right before him, taking his cane with it. All people on the platform sprung into action. Two of them went and comforted the distraught men, others tried to phone in the mishap, and five minutes later, a girl came running up from another train. She saw what happened, took the cane and immediately took a train back to give it back.
