Yeah, that bit made me giggle. Like the school-girl that I am.

That's what elevates this to a higher level, in my eyes. I mean, they could've gone for the easy route very.... well, easily, but they decided to do their research and put some effort in it.

I agree. I love things that are for kids that actually take it seriously, and throw in cute little bits like that.

Speaking of which.... what's your favorite little detail? Mine are:

1. Persues, Deuce's rat. That alone is pretty good, but the 'Mom doesn't think it's funny' line makes it more hilarious.
2. Lagoona's name. 'Creature from the Black Lagoon' is probably one of the lesser known classics amongst those young 'uns today, so I'm glad for that reference
3. Frankie's hair. Frankenstein's bride's hair is probably one of the most iconic haircuts of all time, and I'm loving that they gave Frankie a reference, but thankfully didn't go all out. (Yeah, iconic or not, I just don't see a modern girl with a beehive.)

Haha, yeah, Deuce's rat being called Perseus is another epic idea. xD

I can just see the riot he had with his mother.
'Dear, there's pushing yourself away from me in order to grow as an adult, and then there's naming your pet after my murderer!'

Favorite in-jokes.

1.) Perseus. XD I too love the fact that his mom doesn't like the name.

2.) The fact that Lagoona the surfer girl is Australian amuses me XD

3.) In one of the little mini-sodes (the one about the fearleading squad), Cleo says something to the effect of "We don't need any dead weight holding us down!" and Ghoulia kind of sighs and stalks off. I actually laughed out loud at that.

Not really an in-joke, but I appreciate that they're treating Dracula as scary and a monster, and not only some hot dude that might be sort of creepy but he's hot so who cares. THAT'S what vampires are. Monsters. Scary. Dangerous.

... Wouldn't Cleo technically be 'Dead weight', if you know what I mean? I mean, I get the pun, but...... *Goes of speculating*

But I thought (if her student profile is to be believed) that they meant she's been alive for around 5842 years?

That joke could also apply to Draculara, since vampires are undead.

I dunno. Vampires can be born in certain takes on the myths. It would explain why she's excited about growing up. But zombies and mummies? Nah.

Interesting... This "concept" has been tried to be done and always end on a epic fail...
This on incarnation seems well designed... anyway good luck for them.

I only hope that these people actually have a good script and passion for their creation, and not be another lame marketing excuse to sell dolls and stuff like some we have seen come and go away in the last years...

Well, it's, in it's core, a doll line. Can't blame them for being what they are. Visual design and doll quality? Top Notch. So, for their core goal, they already succeeded.

yeah mummies are just egyptian zombies. Dead egyptians that come back to life to kill intruders. Mind you its a curse thats brings them back to life so they are different...

Either way I like cleo designs. I love the whole classic monster idea. It makes me miss being little.

That song gets stuck in my head all day

It would explain why Cleo and Ghoulia seem to be friends. That and the good old 'Popular Chick and Nerdy Best Friend'.

I recently saw some trailer clips of this on Youtube. This might actually out do Aqua Teen Hunger Force on my list of animated things I love.

I think my masculinity just died a little.

Just tell yourself you're doing it for the references.

On that note; since when's Leaterface Irish? Anyone else noticed that?
