Magix Club's Forum _ Fan Art _ Enchantix Tutorial! On Gimp!

Posted by: winxclubrox23 Apr 2 2010, 11:12 PM

-WARNING! FREAKIN' HUGE IMAGES-

I'm no all-mighty expert on Gimp, and I don't claim to be, I just wanted to share what I know with everyone else. There's probably an even easier way to do it, but this is my way. This is a three or four parter, and so far, I've made parts 1 and 2.

Materials:

-GIMP
-Patience
-Like, 2 hours or so of time.
-It helps to be insane.

If you have questions, ask away because I know this tutorial sucks real bad.

Wow WCR. It is nice to see an example come together step by step. I know I enjoy these kinds of things. Additionally, you kept your prose attitude light and fun. And of course, everybody likes lots of pictures.

awsome,i'll try it,seeing that i just downloaded gimp a few days ago but just a question, how do you save the pictures on the computer to put it onto the web?

Posted by: {§hani™} Apr 3 2010, 3:13 AM

you save them as a JPEG file and then you upload them using an uploader such as http://www.tinypic.com/(which is free and needs no log in or membership) or http://photobucket.com/ (which needs membership but is free to upload)

Posted by: W.I.N.X Apr 3 2010, 7:25 AM

Ummm, e-drawing wisdomness?

Posted by: winxclubrox23 Apr 3 2010, 7:28 AM

I has no wisdom! My wisdom is all stolen from other people on DA. But either way, I'm glad I could spread their wisdom to yoooou!

Posted by: W.I.N.X Apr 3 2010, 7:43 AM

I think everyone's wisdom is a bit stolen. xD

Oh, typically awesomeness from Tea. Let's see what did I LOL at...

"References are your friend."

"Sandel thingys..."

And your insistence that I need sparkles and creativity or my tiara and necklace are going to look like "dung". Ha! I'll have you know a sparkling personality is worth a lot these days too! xP

I got Gimp, I got patience (somewhat), got an hour of time, and a whole lot of insanity... But sadly I can't see the imgs you posted, oh well I have a different computer which I can use in January. I CAN WAIT TILL THEN THANKS FOR POSTING THIS.

EDIT: Hey I can see em now this is a very good tutorial. Thanks a lot. 2 questions, Can I use your base? And can you show how to make our own brushes too?

Posted by: winxclubrox23 Dec 27 2010, 8:35 PM

Sure you can use my base. Just credit me for it, and all is well.

I can...try? I'm not very good at explaining things generally. Plus I'm lazy. See, this tutorial isn't even done yet. xD
