Magix Club's Forum _ Other Announcements _ Off the boat while it is still sinking

Posted by: wkw427 Dec 16 2011, 8:27 PM

It has come to my attention that

1. Any activity is considered "spam" here
2. There is little to no activity
3. Some people just don't like me anymore
4. The "targeted userbase" is far too young for my liking. Most people who are active are 17+. And to disallow even the most minor of swearing is just.. absurd. How many people who actively post are under 12?

So, I'm taking my things and leaving. No point in having a website in my bookmarks toolbar when there are only 1-2 posts a day. It's really not worth my time. And after all the things I've done for the community, it is just silly to be treated this way.

So, I've removed most of the things I have contributed, as there is really no reason for people to benefit off of what I've done if I'm not even allowed to do anything. Going to remove this from my bookmarks, too. I may visit from time to time if someone decides to make tv rips of season 5 when it airs. I could, but my works gets the wrong kind of appreciation.

But, before I go, let me ask you one thing. On a site that has little activity to no with the exception of a small core group of members, how can you consider anything spam? Unless I'm posting advertisements for viagra and how to get a credit loan at www.stealmyinfo.tk it really isn't spam, it is activity.

But, just like that last time where some jerk found it necessary to rate every topic I made one star, same thing.

So with that, I wish you success in making TV rips for the upcoming season and whatnot. Goodbye. And enjoy your forum with only 4 posts per day. I hope you have fun ruling over it.

Apologies in advance for those new members who were downloading the episodes. If you send me a PM I will direct you to another website where I will be posting them.

In answer to your question, as I clearly stated in my response to your pm, "I admit what you posted may not be technically "spam", but that doesn't take away from the fact that it is entirely useless and a waste of time." And that's referring to the topic called "Goat" which contained only a picture of a goat.

It is true that it is unfortunate to see one of the few remaining active members leave, but if, like last time, it is over a matter as trivial as this, it is an excuse to leave and not a reason. There is nothing new about the target age group and the fact that the site has had a severe decline in activity, and so if you are leaving because the aforementioned topic was unwelcome or because "people don't like you", it is a choice you have made and I respect that. Good bye.

Feel free to continue to party behind the curtain. I know you will. And when the few of you are moderators over a shell of a board, I'll be partying myself.

You are raving. And I assure you that being a moderator of an active forum is not the highlight of my life.

Well always having higher responsibly is a problem, I know I have been an officer (in a way like an admin/mod) in games and groups and it can be a pain.

And this is rated five stars. I wonder why

No need to argue with Humbu. He's a moderator for a reason. The decision to leave is yours, so goodbye, but I do wish you wouldn't bash MC the way you have. Though not as active as it once was, it still holds a place dear in my heart and the hearts of many others, and degrading it to what you have simply because you do not agree with one or two rules is pathetic.

Also, please don't reply to this message in retaliation. Petty arguments are lame.

The age thing has been cover about 100 times at least and has never changed. If you are going I will say good bye and wish you the best in the future.
