Season 5 Trailer Options

I'm not sure if anyone has posted this yet, but I found this on youtube and it kind of reveals stuff about season 5 I suppose.

They change to CGI when they go into the water so maybe thats what all the interviews mean by having the season in both 2D and 3D? 3D for scenes in another area?

I prefer 2d drawn stuff. I'll be a little sad if it all becomes cgi.

me too. From all the rumors it seems like it might be both, so at least it won't be a complete change.

Thanks for the video. I am not too keen on the character changes and that will take a while gettting used to. Also some of it was a bit low quality, I am not sure if that was the video or the animation itself.

Yeah this has been posted, and I dont know if you know this but the show will only be in 3D when they go to that new world in the video.

well that is what I figured from the trailer. I think that the actual video is just a bit low quality, I am not exactly sure of the original source.

The official Winx Club page said something about the Omega dimension where everything changes (which is probably the 3D part), but when people started complaining about the 3D they also said "they season will be in 2D". Straffi used "also in 3D".

Technically all winx seasons have had some 3D in them, the schools & specialist ships. =)

Thanks Marie, I hadn't notice it. So some parts will be in 3D. I guess I'm okay with it. xD I heard that the underwater will mostly be 3D I'm not sure. I remembered one of the posts mentioned it.

that's what it looks like from the trailer since once they go underwater it goes into 3d. As long as it isn't all in 3d I won't mind it too much. Also, in the trailer in the 3d scenes, are those new powers? I am not really sure what all the ones from season 4 look like, but those kind of look new around 1:58 and for seconds after that. At 2:02 there is a somewhat close shot of Bloom.

I'm not sure because that power in the Trailer looks different than the Promo Image of Sirenix 2D. It could be possible that the Promo Trailer was not a final look? When we saw the background of the Winx in their Causal City Outfits for Season 5 looked different than the video (referring to the Toy Fair).

Maybe it is like what you were saying about season 4 then, there are more extra powers added onto sirenix?

I know they aren't really clear, but I took some screenshots from the end of that trailer that sort of show the transformation they are in:









most are of bloom because she was in it the most and hers seemed the clearest, but the first of of Aisha! What does everyone think of these new looks?

I like it. A wee bit dissapointed that the hair's just one big clump, but hey, I'd rather have this then them trying and failing to animate the strands. Because when hair animation fails, it FAILS. (Lookin' at you, Bratz.)

It kind of looks like the 2D Sirenix images, maybe these are the unfinished looks? =o

That might be it. The first movie came with an extra that showed how scenes were animated in several 'Phases'. One phase indeed had the hair like that.

I would also rather have this than odd looking tentacle hair. I do like how their hair is up for once, I always wondered how they realistically would fight with long flowing hair all over the place, wouldn't that get in the way? I don't think these look like serenix that much though, isn't blooms hair down in the serenix image of her?

@P-girl: Yeah that animation for the Bratz hair is awful.... It makes me itch
