i know they're from the same witch coven, but what does that mean? does 'coven' mean they are sisters or best friends or...what? i've heard different things for diff versions, but i watched the 4kids version.

4Kids makes them sound more like friends then sisters. But like wkw427 4Kids never confirmed it. Bu in the Rai dub which is the closet we have to canon they are sisters.

Wait, literally sisters? Where did they mention this? I know they've said "sisters" but I assume they mean in the coven-sense of the word, symbolical sisters. Just like a Father in some Christian organizations is not literally everyone's father.

And remember that episode when flora got her enchantix? One told other (i think stormy said to darcy, but not sure) "you looked like that when you were a kid"
I remembered this cause I used to think that they are sisters, (and she shouldn't be surprised)

Hmm, but they could have just grown up together. The looks throw it off for me. They don't resemble one another in the slightest, except in personality. Unless they are step sisters... But as for being reincarnates of the Ancestral Witches, that works, but even then you don't need to be born into the same family to be reincarnations of beings who may or may not have been biological sisters. It's mostly symbolical.

I do not buy they are sisters. They are too different in too many ways. Was the RAI version crystal clear on this? Step sisters or raised together I would believe.

Regarding the reincarnation thing, the ancestral witches never died, they were imprisoned. So I do not think that fits.

Just my two farthings.

I think the plot continuity was dropped in the mud. Nothing is very clear when it comes to Winx history. That and the inconsistencies, yikes.

I'm not sure what's going on with the Ancestral Witches. The movie shows them as spirits...but imprisoned. It's all confusing to say the least.

By the way, I bet those two farthings are worth a lot of money in the 21st century these days. =)

Okay, whoa, let's not start any rumors on the ancestral witches being their mothers or grandmothers. I can see easily influenced minds taking that too far. It's not too hard to just say the Trix and ancestral witches share a common goal, and that is the extent of their relationship. Not everything has to be blood/biologically related. You can choose non-blood related heirs.

yeah i remember that, that's why i was wondering. can someone tell me what "coven" means? does that mean their ancestors were like best friends and they so they joined together and formed a "coven"? that's what it sounds like to me, but idk.
