Well, i think(even though Bloom is my fave character) that winx club is getting more about Bloom...I mean....BLOOM defeted Icy, BLOOM also turned evil in the second season, BLOOM went into Baltors body or something, BLOOM defeted the ansestro witches. Getting a bit boring? say what you think.

No actually, SKY defeated the Witches. Lol. Bloom is the main character, but I think they can tone it down just a tad.

Actually the main characters are Bloom, Stella, Flora, Musa, and Tecna. Although Layla and Roxy are part of the winx club too, and the lead specialist is Sky. But Bloom, Stella, Flora, Musa, and Tecna are who it's getting to be all about. Not just Bloom.

I'd actually respectfully disagree.

Though Bloom, Stella, Flora, Musa, and Tecna are the original five Winx Club members, screen time is not passed around to them equally in my opinion (in fact, when Layla came into the series, a lot of the attention was focussed on her). Bloom, being the main character, by far received the most screen time.
Here's my thoughts:
Season 1: Mainly focussed around Bloom. Time was given to each club member, but it seemed that the most was given to Stella and Bloom.
Season 2: Mainly focussed around Bloom. A large amount of screen time was given to Layla when she entered. Musa received a little bit of screentime (one episode, mainly). Flora and Tecna were constantly being left out of the picture, (as they seemed to be in season 1 as well).
Season 3: Mainly focussed around Bloom. Each girl received screen time with the enchantix (Tecna received the biggest portion of time when referring to the earning of the Enchantix form). Flora still lacked significant amount of screen time to make up for how much she was left out of season 2.
Season 4:


Plus, the movie was definitely Bloom-centric (what with the "Bloom's past" plot which had been followed for 3 seasons.)

That's just my opinion, though. ^_^
Lots of time is to be expected to be given with main characters (like Bloom)... Though, I really wish that they had gone in-depth with the four other characters they began with before adding more characters... That and I wish they wouldn't have dragged out Bloom's plot for three seasons, and instead, focussed on the other characters more (for at least one season, or half of a season even...)

I already stated my opinion on this: give it a rest. Yes, she's the main character, always has, always will be.

well, I do agree with Boo on this, but you do have a piont there, she IS the main character. But other shows i like were based on the story of the main character but everybody else had a couple of moments to really shine. It seemed that they could fit stuff in equaly. im not saying that Bloom SHOULDNT get less attenion thyen the others, and the main thing that really got me angry was the movie when i hardly ever saw the winx or the other speialests. just BLOOM

The show was origanally going to be called "Magical Bloom". Bloom has always been the focus, and probably always will be, as it says in the movie, "This, is her story".

Debating about it wont change that.

I can agree that bloom does get a lot of 'air time' it's because she is the main charater in a way. She is the leader of the winx too.

But it seems in Season 4 that Bloom isn't getting the attention, it's the others and Roxy.

[noguests]I dont mind the amount of time Bloom gets, the only thing that bugs me is that we know like nothing about Tecna's past and next to nothing about Flora's. And I agree with what Boo said above about how the screentime is divided, except Flora got a descent amount in season 2 in my opinion, with introducing Helia.

I do think that they're trying to even it out though, as in season 2, Layla and sorta Musa got a good amount of screen time. In season 3 (as stated above) we had a Tecna based sub-plot, plus one for Stella. Also, we got to see Flora's realm and her sister.

I do not believe Bloom is getting too much screentime considering she is the main character, but season 3 (and what we've seen of season 4) definately are not over-focused on Bloom. And I like how we're getting a bit more of the guys too. Here's how it works with the guys in my opinion:

Season 1:
Sky, Riven, and sorta Brandon.

Season 2:
Sky, Helia, and sorta Timmy.

Season 3:
Sky and Nabu.

Movie:
Sky, and Riven a bit.

Season 4 (first half):
Brandon, Riven, Sky, and sorta Nabu.

Yeah, well Bloom is a Main Character, a Leader, a Strong Fairy who is a Keeper of the Dragon Fire. The Dragon Fire is the one who creates the unverise and a powerful magic.

It's about Bloom how she discovered she is a fairy. Cause she is trying to find her birth parents. Since her enemies were always after her powers and destory her cause she is a last princess of Domino/Sparx.

Season 1: About Bloom discovering everything about Magix and alittle info of her Birth Parents.
Season 2: Bloom finding more about her parents and turns evil.
Season 3: Struggles for earning her Enchantix cause she needs to save someone from her home realm. Even searching for her parents.
Movie 1: Found her parents and stops the Ancient Witches.
Season 4: Back to normal, showing about her friends. More into Roxy cause she is a Last Fairy of Earth. The girls will be saving all the Earth Fairies to return back to life from the Black Circle Wizards.
Movie 2: ??? (Maybe about Bloom's life in the kingdom/being a princess or queen/married?. Ancient Witches returning and so is Icy, Darcy, and Stormy to ruin Bloom's place. NOTE: JUST A THOUGHT.)

I'm thinking the Movie 2 relates back to the Movie 1. =) While Season 4 is different. I guess.

It's stinks that we hadn't met Flora's parents and Tecna's parents. =( Never seen Tecna's realm, but it appeared in the comic. I guess Iginio Straffi thinks it's not important?

I don't really think so. Like we still know nothing about any of their home-lives. Except for the tiny tiny bit about Sky. Oh, Riven's whole deal with his mom. That's actually kinda pathetic. The guys are a major part of Winx Club too! They deserve some attention!

Like Flora and Tecna, their backgrounds are neglected, I agree. But we cant expect to get much info on the guys' backgrounds until the rest of the Winx girls' are actually taken note of. But they're still getting more screen time, in my opinion, especially in season 4.

I was quite excited when hearing about the enchantix plot (I was anticipating seeing Tecna's realm). But, alas, it didn't exactly work that way. Ah well, at least she got some necessary screen time.

That has bugged me all throughout the series (and still is bothering me).

I think the reason it upsets me so much is because of the fact that they brought in new characters before they had given much-needed depth to the other characters (like the specialists (excluding Sky), Flora, Tecna, etc.) It seems that we can pretty much forget about learning anything "new" about these characters, since Winx has been running for 3 1/2 seasons and we still have absolutely no idea.

yeah the only time when i think it was a flora episode was when she earned her enchantix.

This is what really peeved me off at season3: It was all about Lyala's realm. Jeez like every second episode they always went BACK to tides bla bla bla it gets boring because in my opiniuon, tides is UGLY.

I was really looking forward to seeing Tecna's realm. but no, it had to all happen in Tides/andros!!!


Flora hardly got anything. Like i said, there was no real flora episode. jeez even if Bloom is the leader she should get time like, Stella, Musa, and layla!


Musa harly ever got time either. im glad that season4 is not all "going to tides again, to save my kingdom!"
but Musa DID have alot of musa episodes(like when they go to discos and stuff)

Bloom has been lacking time in season4.

For the second movie, i think itll be about Bloom again, but this movie looks way more interesting then the 1st one!

well... I kinda agree with dominoprincess waaaaay up there. It was going to be called "Magical Bloom" and yes it's about her but I also agree with humbu111 and winxclubrox23 (and not just because shes my sister) give the others some time for us to learn about there home lives! (but I'm also not a big bloom fan sooooo)

She is the main character,leader and former of winx club.
But there is a lot about the other 5 winx in the seasons.
What more do you all want ?
