So, yeah. First off, I have to admit, while admiring the show for what it did, I never really got into the first Avatar series. I dunno, it just didn't push my 'Squee!' buttons, so it's kinda in 'Dark Knight' territory: I know it's good, I admire what it's done for a medium I love, but I'm not a fan.

However, that's about to change:
Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Adobe's Flash Player. Get the latest Flash player.

This one DOES hit a lot of my 'Squee!' buttons.
First off, Korra herself:
OMG! She has MUSCLE! And here I taught 'Buxom' and 'Cutesy' would be the standard forms for animated females. It's good to see they're breaking that mold and made her pretty in a non-conventional way.
The setting: Now I know some people claim this was 'Too modern'.
Not really. Have you ever studied the cultural shift in, say, Japan? Things actually changed this fast at certain periods in Real Life. With the help of supernatural forces like bending and the Steampunk science already shown in the previous series? I can totally see this happening.
That BEAR. I want it.
