Yeah, great huh? Well, I guess I prefered Winx than reading.
But, what mostly makes me upset, is that in four days I'm having my history exams and whoah, I know absolutely nothing. I didn't open the book the whole year. *smiles innocently*
So I gotta learn everything in three days... Any way to do it? I already passed the lessons, but if I don't do well with my exams, my grades will go lower.
Any tips on how to read?

But in all seriousness, just read through what you are being tested on twice. Once one day, once another day.
It's just, I can't concentrate at all. I open the book, read a sentence, and then my brain goes off. I start daydreaming or thinking about what to do after I finish, I try to stop it but nothing.
Let alone those eyes closing. I start feeling dizzy and I can barely read anything. And then I get to a break, which break lasts for hours...
Ugh.
I wish teachers were more specific.
But no.
Thanks for the help though. I'll try to study somehow...
Thanks. :) I just hope I don't go lower than last year.
well i know how hard it is to revise i get distracted by a blank wall sometimes (it was more interesting as well), you just need to try and do a little by little
Thanks a bunch for the support!
[noguests]Good luck! My piece of advise it just read/skim through it as many times as you can manage, and make mental notes of anything you think will probably be a key point in the exam. [/noguests]
Thanks people!
I agree with what the others have said above, and I also have one more suggestion:
Pick two or three chapters/topics/units that you know relatively well, and try to focus on those topics as much as possible. Then, skim the rest. That way, when you take the test, you know you'll definitely be able to do well on whatever questions relate to the topics that you studied hardest for, and you can just try the rest of the questions based on what you skimmed. I wish I had a better idea, but I think this is the best and quickest solution, considering your lack of time.
Good luck! ^_^
Thanks a lot!
You're welcome! Good luck for the test, I hope you do well! ^^
The final exams period started today in Greece. The first subject was Ancient History. (Fortunately, the questions were very easy; there were 8 questions and we had to answer at 5 of them)
The next subject is Geography -.-
----------------------------------------------
Good luck Anna Maria , and to all of you that you are "fighting" with the exams period. ^^
yep, good luck to everyone
Physics for us today, ugh. And in two days *gulps* History...
History is interesting... what are you studying about?
I hope you did well in your Physics!
Eh, I did kinda well. But no hopes for History. Byzantio... or whatever it's called. I don't know anything and I'm having the exams tomorrow. Now it is 7:41pm. As you may have understood, I will do very bad...
Man, that sucks....
Maybe you should go offline and study for an half an hour...?
I went to study with my best friend. I was there from 5:30pm to 7pm. I felt like she spoke Chinese. History + me = total disaster.
I won't understand a thing, I'm too anxious and tired from all that anyway.
I just hope my dad won't be mad.
Oh dear X_x
My tip is when you are sleeping, revise what you know.
*Me sleeping*
Hominids are early human....Africa is the cradle of human kind....zzzzzz...
What a nightmare!
I wish I knew something I could revise. We were given 30 questions and six of them will be on the exams. I only know the answers to three or four of them. I would say a bad word now but oh.
I just... don't understand a thing. My brain cannot understand anything. :'(
I will get a zero.
[noguests]Good luck Anna, sonuds like you'll need it. [/noguests]
Tell me about it. It's 11 pm and I'm trying to learn something.
[noguests]If its not working, I think its best if you just go to sleep, thats also equally important. [/noguests]
I'll go in ten minutes or so.
I hope I don't have any nosebleeds tomorrow, as I did yesterday. I had one before I go to school, and then another one while having the exams lol I was too anxious.
[noguests]Oh, thats not good. I hope it doesnt happen. Good night and good luck :) [/noguests]
Thanks again. :)
good luck, its best to not go to bed too late
yes good luck, it's important to get some good sleep.
good luck! I hope you'll pass your exams.
[noguests]So how did history go? [/noguests]
Yeah...how did it go?
I just had my English Exam today! I think I'll be getting 70%-90%. The comprehension part was a little hard .
Tomorrow is Science...*revises* unlike magnets actractt....like magnets repel...an acid tastes sour...a base tastes bitter and feels slipperly....XD
[noguests]I remember my science exam from last semester, it was intense! I think like less than half the people felt they had enough time. But in the end it raised my average by 3% so I was really happy. I swear like the highest mark in my class was 91% (I got 90). It was really hard! But I'm sure you'll do fine, you seem to know your stuff. [/noguests]
Awesome Mark!
I just did it! It was pretty easy, it took me an hour and 15 minutes to finsh. But I learned to much things....so I knew everything. Studying for 5 hours really pays off...
Noo!! Tomorrow is isiZulu =( ...I am rather concerned about it...
[noguests]Good luck, just believe in yourself, you'll do fine^^ [/noguests]
Wow, I thought I had told how history was. Oh well.
Well surprisingly it went good. I knew the questions, except one actually which answer I did not know so I used my fantasy and made up one
Tomorrow I'm having my religion exams.
Good luck w4e!
I believe you'll do well if you studied so much. I mean, five hours? The most time I ever studied for an exams was an hour or an hour and half.
Glad it went alright!
The Zulu exam was...easy! I finshed an hour before we had to stop! That's a new record for me
Oh yeah, five-four hours.
I am happy that I have time to go on the computer now. After the exam which ends at 10:00am we can go home and study for the next one. I start to study at 12 or 1, then stop at 4/5/6. That means i have enough time to go on the computer! yay!
I love my new school!
Wow, you are a perfect student. Grats! :)
Thanks
*blushes*
Well, I gtg study now...S.S. is tomorrow.
Good luck! :)
[noguests]Glad you did well on Zulu. Good luck on the next one^^ [/noguests]
good luck!
good luck with your exams AD ^^
good luck AD
Good Luck Addy! Don't get nervous, Exams are another name for big tests.
The S.S. was great!
Tomorrow is Afrikaans...I don't feel that great about it....
welll good luck
Good luck to everybody. :)
[noguests]Good luck Mish and Mazei! Mine start week after next week *shudders* But I'm not too worried, I just know I'm gonna kill my average in French since its hard enough memorising so many vocab words/grammer rules for a unit test, but now having to know it all for one day is not my idea of fun. So glad I'll be done with French in less than 2 weeks.[/noguests]
good luck humbu
Good luck Everyone!
Good Luck!
Yay!! 3 and a quater days to freedom....
thats good
[noguests]Thanx guys^^ [/noguests]
Mathematics tomorrow >_<
A box has 6 faces, 8 vertices and 12 edges...XD
[noguests]Good luck Mish^^ [/noguests]
Just did it, It was great! I just got the triangle one wroung....
There were 6 triangles! Not two XD.
EMS is my last exam, which is tomorrow, then it's mooovvie time!
[noguests]Oh wow, two of the most important subjects in one day. That musta been tough. And good luck to Mish again^^ Well my first exam (not including fitness in gym, thats too easy) is French verbal which is on Wednesday.[/noguests]
Ah, I had my Math exams today. *coughs*
I did... awful.
I guess I got a 10... out of 20.
Tomorrow we have French, well I gotta study a little bit the verbs and stuff. The day after tomorrow we have our english exams - too easy. I even left the school when she gave us stuff to study.
Je vous souhaite bonne chance pour votre examen, et Humbu Della! I hope that you got a good mark for Mathematics Della.
I hope you got a fab mark too Addy!
I had so much fun at the movies with my friends, we watched Night at the Muesum 2! It was epic!
Ohhhh thank you for the bonne chance. Strangely, I understood everything in this sentence.
Hm, we have four lessons left... phew.
[noguests]Lol thanx Mish^^ I understood almost all of that sentence. And surprisingly, the teacher literally gave us the answers for the questions we're gonna have to answer in the verbal exam o.O All thats left is to memorise it. (Its 35 questions and she said the answers really fast, so most people only got most of it copied down. But we help each other, so I'm sure anyone who cares will have all their answers ready^^) [/noguests]
for GCSE german we got the questions and did are own answers then we got asked some of the questions and we had to remember the answers. Which i was terrible at
No problems...
I wish you luck...
Ohh! I got the third highest mark in my class for my Natural Science....*Does happy dance*
Congrats on that Addy!!
Haha French oral exam was a joke... 15/15 no problem. But up next is French listening on Friday, thats gonna be tough...
And congrats Mazei^^
Bravo to everyone.
Me... omg only one lesson's left, but it's the worst. Geography. *dies*
G'luck everyone!
I'm freeeeee YAY! I passed my exams!
thanks mazei! congrats! you're out of school! school is out for me today!
Weldone for the exams everyone,
I am out of school on the 26th...
same to my friends, their exams will start on 19th june and will end on 26th june.
My exams will be over on Wednesday. Today I had French listening, I did medium I guess compared to the others. Lol the teacher wouldnt repeat reading the questions, so if you missed any, you just have to guess, which happened to me a few times.
congrats Mazei ^^ and good luck to everyone with your studies
Well, I think I'll just post my scores...I just have to wait for History/Geography
English - 78%
Zulu - 82.5%
Afrikaans - 74%
Natural Science - 82.5%
Mathematics - 85.5%

My average so far is 79.25%....Hopefully my S.S. will boost it up to 80%
[noguests]Thats pretty good, nice job^^ My exams finished yesterday, by the way, and I am HAPPY! [/noguests]
congrats humbu bumbu ^^ and W4E!

Thanks Tom^^
[noguests]Wow, thats awesome, Mish! [/noguests]
Thanks Humbu, I'm veryy proud of myself. I hope you get awesome results too =)
[noguests]Thankyou! I shall find out this Friday. [/noguests]
Here are my marks:
English 84%
Geography 85%
French 92%
Science 83%
Average = 86%
Congrats! Awesome results, better than mine lol...
[noguests]Last semester I had tech to bring down my average (a totally messed up course, they stuff way too much into one semester), and this semester gym will. I hate how over here its not physically possible to get a good mark in gym, like no one ever gets 90's, and even 80's are really rare. I bet I'll get in the high 70's even though I'm definitely among the top in my class in most units. But ah well, its just grade 9.[/noguests]
well at least you didn't go into you a levels and get told for IT the highest grade ever was a B and that was one person and that last year most people failed and a few got D's and E's, the uni i wanted to go to wanted 3 B's and did not except general studies for that course although it did for some and you still had to do it
[noguests]Ouch. That is damn tough. [/noguests]
i hate exams, thank goodness mine are finishing in two days yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh, Marty that really sucks....=P
i managed to get through it and pass it, that happened just under 3 years ago
Well, that's great. I am glad you passed =)
[noguests]Yay I got my report card today, I did decent :)
English: 91%
French: 87%
Math: 89%
Gym: 80%
Average= 87% [/noguests]
Mine to, though my average was 81%....=D
@marty that's great that you passed
@Bubu awesome
@W4E that's great
[noguests]Thank you^^ [/noguests]
Thanks Tom!
i got a B overall,my highest mark was 88(english)i'm really good at it)
i going to work harder next time
Well I got all my exams back this term I got:
Music Composition (aka Music Theory, do it out of school): 99%
She marked me down for a "weak note", want does that even mean!!!!!!
French: 96%
It was an easy test, the top was like 99%
History: 93%
Top in the class wooohooo
Maths: 90%
And yet I came 11th out of 28 people
English: 85%
Just average mark for my class (all people in the top English class are so smart)
I hope you did well in your test Anna
@Music: I'm like 80% sure (And I have been playing for for almost 6 years now) a weak note is like, off pitch and/or not loud enough.
