Okay, so..... does anyone knows what 'Going on a tagent' means? I bumped on it via this sentence: 'Although the story kinda goes on a tagent', and I don't know what it means. So, yeah, I might need a bit of help understanding it. Thanks in advance.

its hard to explain but here goes nothing

it is where something as in this case a story kind of leaves the main focus and goes off on a related point which does not really have anything to do with the main part (story)
