I got the idea from TV Tropes, where they had a page dedicated solely to various fan nicknames for specific individuals for various shows.

... And to tell the truth, after I got the idea to call the Trix the Silly Rabbit Cereal Squad, I couldn't let such a beautiful idea fade away.

... I also must confess I refer to Nerissa from WITCH as "Handbag", since her skin's texture looks like one.

The biggest problem I have with this.... is that most girls already have VERY obvious names..... Tecna, Musa, Flora......

True, but we could mock them for other reasons.

I'm finding myself growing attached to the idea of calling Stella "Not-Venus", since Sailor Venus and her are so similar.

I'll.... just leave the mocking to you, I kinda love Stella to much. (And never liked Sailor Moon..... and how hard is it to come up with a blonde ditz anyway? *Probably gets mocked for her lack of Sailor Moon knowledge*)

Well, you're right about it, at least at the end of the anime.

In the manga, at least early on, it was Usagi/Serena who was the ditzy and idiotic one, while Minako/Mina was much more capable of being a leader. One of the reasons Sailor Moon was so popular at first was simply the fact the main protagonist *wasn't* perfect and without flaws when she was fighting.

Of course... then the stagnancy set it, especially in the anime. Mamoru became less of a competitent fighter and more of someone who was just there to get kidnapped, Chibi-Usa was brought in/got annoying, Zoicyte was changed from just having a very strong but perfectly platonic friendship with Kunzite/Malachite into a gay guy, etc. Adaptation decay at its finest.
