Depends on the genre, but here are a few all-time faves;
Drama: A.I. This movie always brings me to tears. 'Please make me a real boy....'
Comedy: Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Come on, it's a classic! 'We are the knights who say; NI!'
Horror: From Dusk till Dawn. I dunno, it's got that Tarantino edge.
Sci-Fi: Either Alien or Jurassic park.
Animated: A draw between Disney's The Hunchback of the Notre Dame, or Corpse Bride.

And not to forget the almighty epos that is 300.

I KNEW I forgot something XD, yeah, Pirates is awesome. Come to think of it, most movies Johnny Depp plays in turn into gold. Anyone seen Crybaby? Edward Scizzorhands? Charlie and the Chocolate factory? All awesome roles of Depp.

Arg, there are so many. x__x The LotR trilogy, the Harry Potter movies, Legend, the Mummy movies, the Monty Python movies, The Chronicles of Narnia, The Emperer's New Groove, Ghostbusters, Men in Tights, The Producers (both versions), the Spiderman Movies, Fantastic Four, the first to X-Men, Chicago and list goes on...

I liked Pan's Labyrinth but I wouldnt say its a favorite. Just the actual filming was really good. the attention to sound was phenominal; like you can hear everything so clearly, like the ticking of the Captain's pocket watch etc. when you watch it pay attention to all that its crazy

Yeah, I also have the little mermaid special edition with a scene from the movie in it. I can't wait. I didn't like the second one that much, so I'm hoping the third will be much better.

I forgot about nausica. I didn't like it, it was just too sad. No happy ending...not in the slightest.
