Hello,

I was wondering what all of you thought of the new Nick voices and just the Nick version in general. The voices for me,well it all took getting used to of course. I am really heart-broken that Bloom's voice is different,Liza Jaqueline was Perfect. But I am getting used to her new voice and in certain moments she does sound a tad like Liza.

Stella, her voice is pretty annoying,it's nasaly and phony,I really don't like it it.

Musa, huge, colossal improvement over her odd old voice! I actually....like Musa now!

Flora,OMG,what have they done!!!? She sounds so loud and confident and has a weird tone. She's supposed to be sweet, shy and soft spoken! I find her overall personality just comes off changed, just because her voice is so different and opposite to her original. Really upset about that one!

Techna, okay,I initially didn't like her fake English accent in the original, but then I came to like it. Now she doesn't even have an accent! She was always sort of sophisticated, mature and cool. Now they've made her full of attitude, sarcastic and bratty. I'm warming to her a bit,but it's weird.

Layla,it's okay. I liked her original voice more, but this one somehow doesn't seem too far off. I'm fine with it. However the first time I saw the Nick one someone called out "Ieesha!' and I was like 'what the heck is an ieesha?!' Then Layla answered to that call. I remembered reading her name being Aisha in the Italian version or something. I would've pronounced Aisha as 'A-sha' not I-E-sha,so it was very very odd to me. But it kinda grows on you, lol.

It was also odd hearing other things changed, like Sparkx being Domino, etc.

For anyone in Canada, does Winx jitter and skip when you watch in on tv? The quality is atrocious! It's like watching something that's really old on a really bad video website! It hurts my eyes! Yet no other show on that channel (or any other channel) does that.

Honestly, I think Nick did a HORRIBLE job choosing voices for the characters. I can tolerate Musa, but that's it. The people Nick chose for the characters CANNOT ACT.

I think I'm just having a hard time getting used to their voices, after listening the 4kids actors for so long. I'm so used to the voices they used to have and how amazing they developed the characters. And now... They just sound dumb. Plus it doesn't help how forced the dialogue is.

I loved Liza Jaqueline, as well. Molly Quinn's voice is sounds way too young and... I don't know... Naive? to be Bloom.

That's just my opinion. Rarely do I watch Winx anymore. But when I do, I stick with the 4kids dub.

Bloom: Took a lot of getting used to. Liza to me overacted at times and I think the Rai Season 1-3 voice of Bloom has the best Voice but in season 3 she became very dull showing no emotion. Molly eventually to me became a good pick for Bloom.

Stella: Sounds like a mix of her 4kids and her Rai voice.Meh

Flora: sounds a lot like her Rai voice started out but with more confidence

Musa: BEST VOICE OUT OF ANY MUSA VOICES

Tecna: Not much to say here. I hated her 4kids english accent.

Aisha/Layla: Again not much to say. A lot like her rai voice and less tomboyish than her 4kids voice.

Overall the Nick dub to me is simply an improved version of the Cinelume Dub, which I like over 4kids. In all I LUV IT. icon_biggrin.gif

I think the nick version is a little better than the 4kids one. To me, any dub the voices all sound kind of annoying and not that distinguishable but the 4kids one had the most. I guess I just liked the 4kids ones since that is what introduced me into the whole winx club world, but I also got annoyed by some of the voices on it after a while (I couldn't stand bloom's voice).

I also think that maybe it's not that they can't act, but it is a childrens show and just the script doesn't give much leeway for actual acting. But it is possible that they aren't really good at acting either.

I don't have much of an initial opinion of most of their voices. To me they all sound similar so I haven't really distinguished which ones I like better. The only thing is that any time Aisha talks I just think of True Jackson VP since keke palmer is from that show. That's one of my main problems though, that they used people from their other shows for the voices. Couldn't they have hired other voice actors?

In general I don't have any big problems though. I need to watch more of the episodes to get more of a feel for it though.

I agree with Kaylin, the dialogue seems a bit awkward and stilted at times, yet it never seemed that way in 4Kids. Weird!

I also feel like Miss Faroganda sounds too young in this version and Griselda isn't grouchy enough! XD

Probably because 4kids molded the show as if they are the original creators so they could make all of their dialogue fit nicely.

I feel like I always think the dialog is weird in kids shows recently just because it is a kids show. but idk it could just be because they are directly dubbing it.

No, the problem is that 4kids has AMAZING voice actors at their disposal. Don't get me wrong, I hate 4kids with the burning passion of a thousand suns, but I have to give props where props are due. Their voice actors are top notch.

I do think that the 4kids voices were way more distinct than the nick ones and showed more emotion at some lines.

the 4kids actors do have more experience whereas the Nick actors are basically newcomers.

....
I'm one of the very, VERY few it seems, that didn't like the 4Kids voices. They might sound distinctive, but they also sound a bit.... unnatural to me. Y'know, caricatures of voices instead of real voices. Now I know that this is a way of voice acting that has it's place, but when I first heard them I was used to the Dutch voice actors, who sound more natural. Something I vastly prefer.

For me Bloom was the only one who sounded Natural in 4kids everyone else sounded really forced especially Musa and Stella. Also to me Liza seemed to overact as Bloom as times such as showing anger when no anger is in the spoken line.

As I got older I realized how unrealistic the 4kids voices really were and started to dislike them. It's just that was the first version I saw so I'll always somewhat like them despite the flaws. I just wish the voices were a bit more distinct in the new nick version, but maybe I feel that way just because I haven't had much time to get used to it.

I can't stand the Nick dub. The voices are just so plain. Maybe the 4Kids voices were unrealistic, but for some reason I like that better. Those voices suited the characters much more. But that's my opinion.

I cannot stand the Nick dub. I can't even watch it at all.

The Trix especially sound like they're 12 years old as does Bloom and most of the Winx. I can tolerate Musa, though Lisa Ortiz was just so darned fantastic. The specialists aren't bad, and are probably the sole thing that's good about the show, but even that being said, it falls short.

I don't know if it's the voices or just the dialogue that sounds a bit childish, but it is a children's show after all.

It could be a combination of both, but they do sound extremely immature.

i feel like the odd one out, because I absolutely love the nickelodeon dub. I think casting professional screen actresses was one of the best decisions nick could have made for Winx. it brings a touch of realism to the fantasy of the show. I thought all of the 4Kids voices were overacted and forced, and too unrealistic. the actresses are actually the age and ethnicities of the winx girls, so I think the voices are absolutely perfect. they're all so unique without being ridiculous, i absolutely love the new voice cast.

I will say, I do not like Roxy's voice. Liliana Mumy sounds waaaaaaay too young, even though she is 18. she'll probably grow on me, but I was expecting a much more rough and tumble voice for Roxy. Liliana sounds like a 12 year old disney channel princess. not even one of the cool official disney princesses.

I know they are all the age of the girls, but some of the lines and the way they say them makes me feel like they are younger, especially some of Aisha's. Maybe because I have actually watched most of keke palmer's other stuff and she just sounds so different in winx club than in her other projects.

I think Musa voice actress for nick is in her 30s or late 20s.
