If you had to describe yourself with a song, any song, which one would it be?

Mine would be P.O.D., with 'Alive', for obvious reasons. I love life, and I want to keep living, because life is the greatest gift you can have.

Well I can't really describe my whole self with a song because it is based on my mood at the moment, and moods can change day by day, some days your happy, some your sad. But one song that describes me a lot is "Broken Heart" by motion city soundtrack, I love the beat to that song and it just talks about how this person will fix up their heart just to be broken again, and sometimes I feel like everyone just stomps all over my feelings etc.

well i belive that the song that describs me and my life over the past few years is this girl by nikki flores

There's a girl livin' in this town
Shes got her head up in the sky
but her feet are on the ground
There's a girl livin' on my street
She knows outside her little world
Somehow ends are gunna meet
And when the roads get kinda rough
She keeps one thing in mind
The longest journey always starts with
Once about a time
And this girl has seen a lot of pain
But this girls gunna smile again
But she knows a flower grows everytime
It rains
And this girls got a lot of dreams
She knows that tommorrow isn't what it seems
She might not slove a mystery tonight
But this girls gunna be alright

Theres a girl walking in these shoes
And she knows that everythings she got
is all shes got to loose
Theres a dream right behind these eyes
And she finds a reason to be strong with every tear she dries
Being hard to fight the way things are
so she leaves the world behind
with the sound of doubt turned up so loud she turns the music up inside

::CHORUS::
And this girls seen a lot of pain
but this girls gunna smile again she knows that a flower grows everytime it rain
and this girls got a lot of dreams
she knows that tommorrow ain't what it seems
she might not slove a mystery tonight
but this girls gunna be alright
She knows it so much she's never seen
the sound will come louder to find out what it means

And this girls seen a lot of pain
but this girls gunna smile again she knows that a flower grows everytime it rain
and this girls got a lot of dreams
she knows that tommorrow ain't what it seems
she might not slove a mystery tonight
but this girls gunna be alright
Alright, shes gunna be alright.

I really don't know. Good question. I'd probably say 'Unwritten' by Natasha Bedingfeild. It comes to me like it's about being yourself, living your life, and enjoying it... all of which, is how I feel and act (at least most of the time). ^_^

I love the chorus:

Reaching for something in the distance
So close you can almost taste it
Release your inhibitions
Feel the rain on your skin
No one else can feel it for you
Only you can let it in

No one else, no one else
Can speak the words on your lips
Drench yourself in words unspoken
Live your life with arms wide open
Today is where your book begins
The rest is still unwritten

i love "unwritten" but what song whould describe me. while... it would be "rebelde" (its a spanish song) it tells how you need to make your decisions and don't let your parents stop what you dream for. that you need to rebel sometimes against what your parents say, if you know what is right. my mom doesn't want me be a marine bioligist because my health isn't good. but i want to be one and my health will be ok. i know she worries but she can't tell what not to be. and while i do disobey sometimes my parents but its for good. i know whats right for me. my mom said i changed but that she is proud that i speak my mind and don't let people push me around.

The song thata fits my life? Ehhhh...like Abby said, it mostly depends on how my life is going at the moment, so it changes. But my song right now, and kinda does describe me, but not quite, is 'One Step at a Time' by Jordin Sparks.

LYRICS:
Hurry up and wait
So close, but so far away
Everything that you've always dreamed of
Close enough for you to taste
But you just can't touch

You wanna show the world, but no one knows your name yet
Wonder when and where and how you're gonna make it
You know you can if you get the chance
In your face as the door keeps slamming
Now you're feeling more and more frustrated
And you're getting all kind of impatient waiting

We live and we learn to take
One step at a time
There's no need to rush
It's like learning to fly
Or falling in love
It's gonna happen like it's
Supposed to happen that we
Find the reasons why
One step at a time

You believe and you doubt
You're confused, you got it all figured out
Everything that you always wished for
Could be yours, should be yours, would be yours
If they only knew

You wanna show the world, but no one knows your name yet
Wonder when and where and how you're gonna make it
You know you can if you get the chance
In your face as the door keeps slamming
Now you're feeling more and more frustrated
And you're getting all kind of impatient waiting

We live and we learn to take
One step at a time
There's no need to rush
It's like learning to fly
Or falling in love
It's gonna happen like it's
Supposed to happen that we
Find the reasons why
One step at a time

When you can't wait any longer
But there's no end in sight (When you need to find the strength)
It's the faith that makes you stronger
The only way you get there
Is one step at a time

(Take)
One step at a time
There's no need to rush
It's like learning to fly
Or falling in love
It's gonna happen like it's
Supposed to happen that we
Find the reasons why
One step at a time

One step at a time
There's no need to rush
It's like learning to fly
Or falling in love
It's gonna happen like it's
Supposed to happen that we
Find the reasons why
One step at a time

Yay, another slightly dead thread =P

I actually thought about this for a while (well, not too long or I'd waste precious minutes when I could be posting in other threads, haha). I don't have a song to sum up my life, and I wouldn't even know which lyrics to choose. However, I do have a psuedo-song that sums up the way I "feel". I don't get into lyrics, so much as the general feel or beat of songs. Sometimes I prefer songs that either have no lyrics or have lyrics but in another language other than english. So, what "song" would I choose? This one sums up how I feel about myself, the world, and generally how I feel I exist in this world. Whoa, too deep. I don't even know if I understand what I just wrote =P. Now, for anyone who cares to listen here's a link:

The song titled "While the Earth Sleeps"

A song that describes me probably 90% of the time would be One Girl Revolution, by Superchick, lol...

Well, I think the song which fits me is "I will be me" by ashley tisdale.

LYRICS

It keeps rainin' in my head
Won't stop fallin'
Things were done and words were said
That won't stop hauntin' me
I could choose not to forgive & loose my innocence
Face the fate of those who live in foolish confidence
Who I am, where I stand

I will be me
This I know for sure
I'll still believe
When there's darkness at my door
I'm holdin' on
To the fire burnin'
Deep inside of me

In this crazy mixed-up world
Know it's hard to hold your ground
Never know which way to lean
I've stumbled and I've found
I'm chasing demons in my head & they keep winnin'
Leaves me reaching for the thread of a new beginning
Who I am, where I stand

I will be me
This I know for sure
I'll still believe
When there's darkness at my door
I'm holdin' on
To the fire burnin'
Deep inside of me

All right, this may be fun....
Without thinking it for more than a sec, i'll say "Diluted" by SlipKnot
I hope not get banned for this LOL

LYRICS:

I'm cold, I'm ugly...
I'm always confused by everything
I can stare into a thousand eyes...
But every smile hides a bold-faced lie

It itches, it seethes, it festers and breathes
My heros are dead, they died in my head
Thin out the herd, squeeze out the pain
Something inside me has opened up again

Thoughts of me exemplified
All the little flaws I have denied
Forget today, forget whatever happened
Everyday I see a little more of overall deficiencies
I'm nothing short of being one complete catastrophe

What the ***** - did I - do to deserve - all of this?!!
What the ***** - did I - do to deserve - all of this?!!!

I save all the bullets from ignorant minds
Your insults get stuck in my teeth as they grind
Way past good taste, on our way to bad omens
I decrease, while my symptoms increase

God! what the ***** is wrong?!
You act like you knew it all along
Your timing *****, your silence is a blessing!

All I ever wanted out of you
was something you could never be
Now take a real good look at
What you've ****** done to me!!!

What the ***** - did I - do to deserve - all of this?!!
What the ***** - did I - do to deserve - all of this?!!

Gimme any reason why I'd need you
Gimme any reason why I'd need you
Gimme any reason why I'd need you
Gimme any reason not to ***** you up!!

Gimme any reason why I'd need you
Gimme any reason why I'd need you
Gimme any reason why I'd need you
Gimme any reason not to ***** you up!!

I see you in me...
I see you in me...
I see you in me!!!!

I keep my scars from prying eyes
Incapable of ever knowing why
Somebody breathe, I've got to have an answer

Why am I so fascinated by
bigger pictures, better things
But I don't care what you think
You'll never understand me!!!

What the ***** - did I - do to deserve - all of this?
What the ***** - did I - do to deserve - all of this?

What the ***** - did I - do to deserve - all of this?!!
What the ***** - did I - do to deserve - all of this?!!
What the ***** - did I - do to deserve - all of this?!!

******!!!

Oh, two other songs that describe me pretty well are Sharada, by Skye Sweetnam and I Don't Think About It, by Emily Osment. =)

He he, I don't think it's a 'slightly dead thread' anymore. icon_mrgreen.gif
I think I came across a song that describes me a little better then the last one (just heard it a couple of days ago... I wish I would have discovered it sooner.) ^_^
It's called 'Butterfly Cry' by Kerli.
Did I hurt you?
Did I ever made you bleed inside?
Did I kill you?
I didn't mean to make you hide yourself,
Find you in you, beautiful.
Do not grow the seeds of pain in you,
Goodbye!
Let the butterflies cry,
Let them cry for you.
You just dry your eyes,
Because the world is wonderful.

Let the butterflies cry,
Let them cry for you.
You just dry your eyes,
Because the world is wonderful.

Oh, because the world is wonderful

I have been there,
I used to believe there was no light.
But I found out,
Oh, life is far too short to fight.
Loose yourself, let go of your pain,
Taste the air you breathe and kiss the sky.
Goodbye!

Let the butterflies cry,
Let them cry for you.
You just dry your eyes,
Because the world is wonderful.

Let the butterflies cry,
Let them cry for you.
You just dry your eyes,
Because the world is wonderful.

Oh, because the world is wonderful.

Let the butterflies cry,
Let them cry for you.
You just dry your eyes,
Because the world is wonderful.

I think the lyrics are so meaningful; life is too short to fight, you might as well enjoy it. I like the first stanza, since when I was younger, I know I hurt some feelings and shook some of my friends up sometimes... and through the years, I've been hurt too. After junior high, I got a different look at life and how things really do work out just fine sometimes. During three years of my life, I was really sad the majority of the time, rarely happy, like the song says 'no light'... But now, I am more content then ever (and the world does seem wonderful...). So I think that sums up my explanation for the reason I picked this song out of the bunch. icon_wink.gif

Hah.... resurrecting this threat for some reason.....
Well, this song will probably tell you a lot about me...
this is...

"Recipe for Hate.... WARHORSE" by MegadetH

Each day my shortcomings pick my pockets
My faults were letters carved in stone
As meaningful to you as words written in water
I'm left to walk this world alone...

(Fill Guitars)

In a broken mold they made me
The black sheep of the family
Worth less than zero, my opinion
And room temperature IQ

I did something, now I'm nothing
Always wrong with this or that...
Poisoned with fear watch it twist
My measly brain mad!

(Solo)

Talk about me when my back is turned...
Next time we meet it will be to late.
The memory burned in my ears of what you said
And now I've got a recipe for hate.
Taste it

(Fill Guitars)

Dark clouds on the horizon
Make it hard to breathe
A walking mistake, but every time
I run away, I just come back for more

The choice is clear, I can quit
And fall on my sword or light a fire
To see who runs or stays
And plays the confidence game...

(Guitar Solo)

I'm feeling quite invisible
I feel just like thin air
The truth taunts me
That Nobody wants Me!

I see the earth below me
I watch it spinning there...
Does someone, somewhere
Out there hear me?

Sentenced to walk in Purgatory!
My life is running down
I can't believe what they've done to me

I'm left riding a Warhorse!
A man without a country!!

(Guitar Solo)

Hmmm never really thought about this, but I think I'll go for Ayumi Hamasaki -- Endless Sorrow

What if you're alone
and suddenly become blind,
and what if despite that
you kept walking forward?

Come here, take my hand

If you've only got
one wing...
Even if I only have
one wing left...

What if there was
nothing to believe in,
and what if all that's left
is despair?

Please, hear my prayers

in this era overflowing
with wingless angels.

If you are left
with no wings...
I still have one
wing left, so...
Together... together...

~I like helping others =)

It depends on my mood - sometimes I prefer cheery music that just keeps me going, sometimes I feel like listening to ballads with insightful lyrics, sometimes - slow melodies with no lyrics at all.
