It's Disney's fault I tell you!

It seems no one is willing to break into the market for fear of the competition. Total BS, I bet people would be grateful for something new instead of all that crap that's being aired over in the states like Hannah Montana and co.

I don't really understand Straffi's issue with America though. Unless he's letting personal distaste for the country get in the way (I think not though, any marketing is good marketing). Perhaps he's had issues with 4kids in the past. Anyway what is the probability of 4kids dubbing any international cartoons now, considering that they've lost their block (true?)

Well, they still have the CW...the new Fox...I think? Geez, I don't even understand the changeover. Still boggles my mind. But so far all of the 4kids shows have fallen onto the newly devised (American) channel known as the CW.

As for Disney and it's manufacturing plant of doom, yes, they are ticking me off. I just don't see a lot of depth in their projects. Even their blockbuster movies lack something that the original 2D movies clearly had. Hannah Montana, the manufactured teen star, has pretty much robbed the youth of anything meaningful anymore. Too commercialized. Far far too commercialized.

Anyway, back to the dubbing problem at hand...I just hope the Rai version is well done.

You know what I think I think 4kids knows something about the movie and 4kids...........but 4kids knows that winx fans won't visit their site if they take down the winx one of the only reasons i watched 4kids is cause of the Winx before Saturdays were the sleep till Sunday days ............ so.....they know it's not commin and they know it gonna lose tv veiwers............

The problem is that animation profits, as well as budgets are falling all over North America... and not necessarily in that order. It's a bad time to be in this market, in this part of the world. That's why Fox canned its entire 4Kids lineup, and why Canadian broadcasters like Teletoon (which built it's fortune on original programming) have taken to importing extremely minimalist shows like Tom goes to the Mayor from CN, rather than producing new material. It's because demographics can get skewed in very large countries: Italy, having 1/5th the population of the US can support a show with considerably fewer viewers than would be possible for Fox. Then there are legal issues about merchandising during a block where a certain show airs: you can't run adds for Winx Club dolls during Winx Club. This makes it harder for Fox to make what they consider a reasonable amount of money.

Long Story Short: It's a money issue affecting the whole industry, especially Fox which has its Prime Time animation block to consider (The Simpsons, Family Guy).

It's possible that YTV or Teletoon could be convinced to air the Rai English versions of season 4. More likely than CN, although they may pick it up if a Canadian broadcaster does it first. That's what happened with Sailor Moon. None of this bodes well for those that prefer the 4Kids dub.

YTV aired the 4kids version Winx Club for a long long time, and they've recently stopped. Teletoon never aired it. Not that I'm aware of anyways. Strangely enough, even though the Rai English version is dubbed in Canada (I was extremely surprised.) We don't get it here.

I can take a guess on why Singapore got the movie first...*cough* Joanne Lee's the Executive Producer*cough*

I have no idea why we didn't get the movie. It's weird if you think about it.

I vote Canada goes for dubbing it (not 4kids, but steal their VAs XD) cause its the US Ingy has issues with isn't it?

So like... Ocean Group or something, should totally request it and then try to get all the 4kids VAs so that we are not messed up by more voice changes @_@

So... in the Rai English version of the movie... did Aisha's voice annoy anyone else? Well more-so the WAY she talked. She talked with rhythm and it was annoying, D<

I dunno, I found it kind of annoying >_<
the 4kids Layla voice isn't THAT bad, although I started Winx through 4kids @)@;;
I dunno, if I heard someone actually talk like that.... I think I'd punch them...
