No. I stay away from Degrassi because, well, TV Tropes is not kind to it.

*cracking up*
xD
OK, so my mom and her boyfriend watch it sometimes...which means I do.
Though, honestly, we watch it to make fun of it.
"SHE DID WHAT?"
"Oh, no, you're cheating on her!"

...Yeah. Then we all have a good laugh and go to watch something more interesting.
Sorry, it's our honest opinion.

I sometimes watch Degrassi Junior High. Which is the one that features Emma's mum and dad, through her teen pregnancy and stuff. Though me and me sister prefer UNrealisitc teen shows, like the OC. We watched it during my sister's exams and we were like "Don't watch too much, or you might start writing about it on your exam".

I never connected to those 'High school' dramas. Maybe because we don't have a high-school in Holland.... or maybe because I often feel more sympathy for the teachers then for the students. (Probably the reason I think Boston Public is the best in it's genre.)

Degrassi's unrealistic too.

Yea this is late,

But degrassi is pretty realistic, of course there are some unrealistic things that happen, but thats with every tv show. it just depends on what scenerio your talking about

Depends on what you want from realism. I mean, some shows with fantasy elements can get pretty realistic with good writers on board. Can't say for Degrassi... never saw it.

So if you never saw it then why are you commenting on a degrassi thread?

well you could always make a thread for that, the purpose of this thread was to talk about degrassi... granted it did get a bit off topic, but if you never saw it then ... why bother.

What a coincidence. I was just thinking about this thread(after having watched a few episodes of Degrassi Junior High).

They have the first two seasons up legally on youtube on the PBS channel. Just type in Degrassi Junior High, pick an episode. Look at episode guide too, to determine Season 1-2 episodes, etc. It's very 80's and awful, but so very addictive.

For awhile somebody had up a bunch of series 3 and Degrassi High episodes(which could simply be considered Series 4 and 5 of DJH, they just couldn't keep the characters back anymore.), but they got taken down by the YT Nazis. I guess PBS hasn't licensed them yet.
