I thought i would make this topic to help other get started with making graphics.

Here are some programs i use (or did use) when i made graphics:

i use photostudio for unanimated graphics and gimp to animate other then that i use paper and a pencil

Dafont

Programs:
Photoshop 7.0
Microsoft Paint

Brushes:
I get them from all over the place XD but of course they are PS.7 brushes.

I second the use of DeviantArt for resources!

Fonts:
The commonly used http://www.dafont.com/

Program(s):
Adobe Photoshop CS2
Preview (the nifty standard iMac image browser)

Other:
Various Photoshop tutorials on the web (including on Deviantart.)

And of course, my camera! I've slowly weaned myself off of other peoples' textures and have been using my own for quite awhile now.

Image-uploading sites are also very helpful tools for graphic-makers who share their creations online:
