Hi,
I've recently switched from IE to firefox. Only today have I started noticing that the system crashes on certian sites such as piczo.com. I'm wondering for any experienced firefox users what settings such as add-on and applications and other settings should I have on or disabled? Please list specifically what needs to stay on and what needs to disable? Thanks! Also these are the sites I'm looking at for help, but do not understand them. Please Help.

Hey again,
It seems once I used safe mode and disabled google update and toolbar, everything went back to normal. Hopefully it will stay that way. But, I would still like to know what add-on should be disabled or anything else that might interfere with firfox performance. Thanks!

  • Go to Tools > Add-ons
  • Switch to the Extensions tab and screenshot it. (how?)
  • Do the same for the Plugins tab as well. (maximize the window in case there are lots of them)
  • Post the screenshots so we can look at what add-ons that might affect performance.

The only extension that is totally needed, 105% of the time is "AdBlock Plus"

Well, there aren't any plugins that might crash your browser.
Is the problem fixed on the sites you said before will crash?

Try this:
  1. Go to C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\extensions
  2. Move the {972ce4c6-7e08-4474-a285-3208198ce6fd} folder to your desktop
  3. Try again.

Okay, I visit the site again and still on the editing pages on my site, it just crashes. Also, it takes forever to load a page. I searched the internet for firefox problems on piczo and people have been saying how this problem is common especially with people who use windows vista which i have on a gateway labtop and people have been experiencing this a lot. Do you use piczo? If so, what browser do you use? I tried sending the problem to piczo, but I doubt they'll get back to me. I've had my piczo account for about 2-3months and started out using IE7, but when i installed IE8 it has even more problems that it then won't let me edit anything. So, finally i installed firefox and two days later this starts happening. It's driving me nuts. Any help please? I just wanna use piczo without any problems.

Hey Everyone,
Now when I visit Piczo, I have less likely chances of the browser crashing. So, even if it does crash, I'm not gonna sweat about and try again. Thanks to all who helped!
