During the course of school I stoped myself from biting my nails and around the tips of my fingers. However, now, whenever I take out my retainer, that is what I do. It has gotten so bad that my fingers hurt. I'm biting off the skin at the TIP. Below the nail. The tip. It hurts to type icon_sad.gif

i used to do that it started to get pretty painful. I remember i kept biting the skin off and was hard to stop it. Unfortynately i don't remember how i was able to stop it, but i guess i stopped because it started to hurt more and the teachers at school noticed and so did my parents XD

Oh dear, I see a fellow nail biter!

There is this clear nail polish that you put on your nails. Then when you try to bit them, it tastes horrible. I'm sure it'll stop that habit ASAP.

I used to have that bad habit, and it did hurt but not as much as your case. I forgot how I stopped, hopefully this article could help you.
