Can you please tell me what program do you use for making graphics? (banners, avatars, enter signs, etc.) If you don't want to tell me it's ok and, please, don't tell me you use photoshop for the awesome avatars and graphics you do! Because I don't know how to use it! lol ^^ But, thanks anyway if you help me, telling me a name or a description of a program for making good grapics

Paint.NET Is free and never runs out. And its really easy to use ^^ So I'd suggest that one, unless you want to buy Photoshop,Photoimpact, but there are 30 day free trials on both of them so just play around with them all, see which ones you like to use. Photoshop , Adobe Photoshop , Photimpact I would actually reccomend buying because they're such good programmes to use.
But yeah go ahead and downlaod them, no problemo ^^

xD who needs CS2? I just use Photoshop Elements 3.0 {came with Wacom Graphire 4x6 tablet} and/or Photoshop elements 5.0/6.0 {not sure which, it came with my Wacom Bamboo Fun tablet}.
Oh, and GIMP. Totally third and a half on GIMP. And second on paint.NET.
Though if you have a lot of money to spend, get CS3. Or, if you have US$69.99+, go get a graphics tablet. Preferably Wacom. It's nice to use, 'cause you have better control than a mouse or god forbid, a touchpad {though I use one, so I shouldn't say anything}, plus it comes with Photoshop Elements and some Corel program I forget the name of at the moment.

oh, I recently downloaded GIMP... I haven't started using it much, just checking around.
oh, I saw on the windows that pop up in GIMP some icelandic buttons that say "cancel" and something like that in icelandic, and everything else is in english o.O when the window popped up I was like "Loka? what does that mean... oh, it's icelandic, it's cancel."
the row can be like that in the buttons: Hjálp, Reset, à lagi, hætta við... as you can see "reset" is english, the others are icelandic o.O
is it legal to confuse me like that?

Ahh, layers. My favorite feature of all graphic programs. It's a feature that lets you edit different layers of a graphic you are working on. Ex: You want to make a Musa avatar, but you want to give her a different background. You make two layers: 1) The top layer will be the Musa png (or whatever file type). 2) The bottom layer will be the background (however you choose to make it) You can switch between these two layers whenever you want--lets you edit them easily without messing with the entire picture. You can delete the bottom layer without harming the top layer (without deleting the Musa pic). Then, if you wanted, you could put a different background behind her instead. Some visual help if it's needed: The first pic here shows the Layer dialog (or rather just "box"), with three different layers. So far none of the layers are hidden. The next pic shows the middle layer (with the sparkles) hidden--notice the "eye" is not shown next to the Middle Layer in the Layer box. You could make as many layers as you want when making a graphic, that way you can always alter a feature on it if you change your mind. However, make sure you save it as a "psd" file if you want to work on it later. Otherwise, if you're done working on it feel free to save it as a png, jpg, gif, etc, and it will flatten all of the layers into one layer. If that was too much "help" I'll try to hold back next time =P.
