Now that there's much more information about it, I thought I'd post a topic.

The scheduled release date is November 24, 2010. Although there isn't a trailer out yet, there's a heck of a lot of pictures.

Aww man, I was hoping they'd do another animated one.

But it does look cool! =D I'm also excited for the new Pooh movie in 2011 and the Snow Queen in 2012.

It looks like it will be a nice and refreshing movie. ^^ Too bad it isn't in the traditional 2D.

I wish they'd do more in 2D (I kinda got my hopes up after The Princess And The Frog, but with that tie-up with Pixar, I'm not sure about it...) but this looks really interesting. *likes how Rapunzel has the dude all tied up with her hair* xD

I'm sure the new Winnie the Pooh movie will be 2D, and I think the Snow Queen one is 2D, too.

A pic from Snow Queen:

And the article I got it from (which also mentions the Pooh movie): http://www.firstshowing.net/2009/12/07/the...nd-drawn-films/

Makes sense, since the Snow Queen is a Russian fairy tale.

I really like it. And it actually makes sense to dress like that when you're the Snow Queen.

You know...that character reminds me the Ice Witch from Narnia. xD I mean similar clothing.
Which I forgot to post it up above. ^^" Hehe.

I never heard that a Snow Queen is a Russian Fairytale. Sounds interesting. =)

From what I know, it's about this boy and girl who find a magic mirror. The mirror breaks and a piece gets into the boy's eye. This turns him into a cold, uncaring person. For some reason or other (Probably because it was her mirror), the Snow Queen swoops in and takes him away, leaving the girl to get into her palace and save him. There, for some reason or other (I was like FIVE when I owned the book, deal) he has to use these lettered blocks to spell a certain word. (Something along the line of Love, friendship, compassion.... I don't remember clearly.) He can't do it because of the shard and the coldness in his heart. The girl manages, he gets freed, and they lived happily ever after.

....

If someone knows the story better, please explain.

Ooh! Ooh! I remember that story! I think I still have the book, if I find it, I'll re-read the story and get right back at you. I think it's a fairytale from the Grimm's brothers actually. Or it's Russian idk.

I remember owning the book as a kid.... The whole atmosphere just screamed 'Russian'. That, and the brothers Grimm kinda made an anthology of already existing fairy tales. They didn't make them up, they collected them.

Ah, yeah. I remember owning two books filled with fairytales; one with HC Andersen's works and another one collected by the brothers Grimm.
