I think this one 4kids is a lot better, which is unusual as its normally very close

3x13. Saladin comes in to inform FG about the trouble on Andros:

Unedited: FG's dialog is normal: "Headmaster Saladin, what could be so important that you simply had to pay me a visit in the middle of the night?"
Edited: 4Kids adds more dialog over Saladin walking in, and does something similar to the FG and Griffin scene in 1x17: "Prof. Saladin. It's very sweet how you keep coming in to check up on me. (Unedited dialog starts here) I must say it reminds me of the days when you were a senior hero at Red Fountain and I was a freshman at Alfea."

The girls arrive on Andros.

Unedited: We see all the girls coming through the portal one-by-one. Layla's dad is not very supportive of her coming here...
Dad: Layla, don't be stubborn. Go back to Alfea, please! I can't risk losing you.
Layla: I'll go back dad, right after all of us fighting side-by-side close the Omega portal and set our planet free.
Edited: 4Kids cuts out after Musa comes through the portal, so we don't see Bloom and Flora. Layla's dad is slightly more supportive...
Dad: I'd rather that you went back to Alfea, but as Princess of Tides, it is your choice.
Layla: Then my decision is to stay in my realm, and do everything in my power to try to save it.
Dad (over a wide shot): Then we will try together.

There are four scenes where the girls use their fairy dust, and all of them have had the dust sequence edited out. One of these is Flora's outline-less dust drawing that 4K used in the previous episode, but not here. (Picture) Also, 4Kids cuts out a brief exchange after Flora saves Stella: Flo: "Stella, are you alright?" Stella: "Flora... how's it going?"

Tebok explains how the Omega portal was made.

Unedited: We're shown the making of the portal, including a scene of three sorcerors casting spells on it.
Edited: The part showing the column of rock forming is slightly faster than in the unedited, and the part with the three sorcerors has been edited out.

Tebok, on Tecna trying to close the portal:

Unedited: "You are needed here Layla, to help rebuild. What Tecna is doing takes great courage. We must allow her to live out her destiny."
Edited: "If she has chosen to go forward, you must let her do it. Perhaps she will be the one to close the gate. Perhaps this act of sacrifice is her destiny."

I liked the first edit that added a hint of backstory to the teachers, but the rest of the edits seem like annoying cuts to me. I would have loved to see the dust sequences.

On to 3x14, and most of the edits for time involve the transformations and fairy dust. Interestingly, though, 4K actually does show the fairy dust briefly when the Winx use it to defrost Bloom. So anyways, here are some dialog edits:

FG does not want the girls to try to avenge Tecna:
Unedited: "No, but I can't risk losing all of you either. You will stay on campus until further notice. Tomorrow we'll hatch a plan."
Edited: "No, but I cannot risk losing all of you too. You're to stay on campus until further notice. Good night girls."

Just before Valtor arrives on Oppositus, a weather report for Oppositus is heard in the 4K dub. The dub also changes his dialog to include an observation on the palace guards:
Unedited: "Oh I don't want to enter the palace..." "Then come on in!"
Edited: "Alert and lazy, all at once." "You got that right!" "Very amusing."

After Stormy attacks Stella and Layla:
Unedited: Stormy: "I dreamt I was eating loads of jello and being disgustingly nice to people. I was so ashamed of myself." Darcy: "Yeah, you were acting like a dweeb Stormy, but that's because Valtor spelled you."
Edited: Stormy: "That was weird, I was just standing there just thinking about kittens, and humming this Peter Paul and Magic song in my head." Darcy: "You were dweebing out because Baltor put an Oppositus spell on you."

3x15, and unlike the last episode, there are no transformations or fairy dust for 4K to make their time edits on. So...

Unedited: We open on a night scene of the girls in their dorm talking about Bloom going to Pyros.
Edited: 4Kids skips the dorm scene and just opens with Bloom's arrival on Pyros.

A visual change has been made during the bit where Bloom learns to roar like a dragon:

Unedited: The background behind Bloom is a couple of tall trees and a rock face, while behind Buddy (the dragon) is plain ground.
Edited: 4K shorten the trees and show the sky, and there's a little bit of water animation behind Buddy (presumably to match the water animation in the other shots). (Picture)

There have also been some effects added to Valtor learning to teleport after returning from his trip.

Near the end, we get a montage of T/T moments.

Unedited: These are played out silently over a song.
Edited: Only a few bits of the montage are shown, and dialog is dubbed over them, and different dialog from before, at that. (For example, over a clip of T/T at the Resort Realm... Timmy: "You're awesome" Tec: "So are you" [laughs])

The other girls have just found from the Specialists that Tecna is alive on the Omega Dimension and decide to head off on a mission.

Griz (knocking on door): The girls are just about to leave.
FG: Well, thank you for keeping me posted Griselda.
(At the quad, the girls and Specialists [are supposed to] board the ship and take off)
FG: You know, even though the dangers are great, I don't feel it's right to try to stop them.
Griz: I know. It's their destiny to go and save their friend.
FG: And I believe they will succeed.
Edited: This whole sequence is edited out (including the FG/Griz convo), presumably to remove the whole animation error of the ship not being in the shot where they're supposed to be boarding it. (Picture)

The girls arrive on Omega, and even at this late stage, 4K!Stella seems slightly more fashion-minded than her original counterpart:
Unedited: Flora comments on the bitter cold and, Brandon comments on one of the frozen prisoners: "I guess that's what you get if you're a prisoner in the Omega Dimension: locked away in a block of ice for eternity."
Edited: She rants that this trip is "such a missed outfit opportunity": she had a fur coat with matching earmuffs that would have been perfect for the trip. She (rather than Brandon) then says of one of the frozen prisoners: "Somebody put a shirt on that guy. If you're gonna freeze some dude for eternity, at least try to make him look good..."

Over on Pyros, Bloom and Maya have a talk during their training session.

Unedited:
Maya: Very well done. Your skills have improved so much in such a short time. Your magic is more focused and you're able to control your fear. Your powers have reached a whole new level of sophistication.
Bloom: Am I that much better?
Maya: You may not feel it, but I can see it. You're almost ready to go back to Magix my dear.
Bloom (over clips of her friends): Oh, Magix. I cannot wait to see my friends again. I miss them so much. I really want to go home, but I know I still have so much to learn here.

Other than the obligatory cuts, there have been minor visual alterations to Bloom's Enchantix transformation (picture), and coming out of the transformation, we have some rearrangement and visual arrangement:
Unedited: Bloom glowing --> Bloom deflecting the Trix attack --> Bloom blinking --> Icy's reaction --> Bloom glowing and firing off her attack
Edited: Bloom blinking --> Bloom deflecting the Trix attack --> Icy's reaction --> Bloom glowing --> Bloom firing off her attack (but not glowing)

After a really long hiatus (work and other commitments come first), we finally move on to 3x17...

Bloom comes back to Alfea and after finding her dorm deserted, heads to FG and Griz's room:

Bloom: "Well, I, I'm just back from Pyros, and I find the whole school deserted. What's going on?" Griz tells Bloom: "Well it is early. All the students are still sound asleep" (showing Bloom a clock) Bloom: "Not all. Anyway I just wanted to thank you for your advice. Everything on Pyros was" FG: "I know. I heard all about it. Maya, the chief elder of the island of dragons is an old friend of mine. She kept me well informed of the progress you were making."

Bloom: "I just got back from Pyros, and Digit said that everyone went to Omega to look for Tecna?" 4K cuts out Griz showing Bloom the clock and the rest of Bloom's initial comment, picking up on FG saying: "We'll talk about that in a minute. Maya is a friend and kept me informed of your progress." 4K also cuts out a flashback to the Timmy scenes from 3x16 while Bloom is asking about going to look for Tecna.

While Sky and Bloom are talking, we have a bit of a role reversal:

As we pan to the right to put Sky off the screen: "It was all Diaspro's doing I guess..."

Underline is where Sky was originally not talking, and 4K has apparently looped the animation of Sky talking over the original.

We cut to the Omega dimension where the Specialists have been captured.

Unedited: There is a prison guard standing near the Specialists.
Edited: 4K has erased the guard. (Picture)

Bloom and Sky find Tecna, and they talk. Here's an example of a minor edit:

Tecna: "I even managed to turn this ice into nutritious food" Bloom: "Probably better than the food in Alfea's cafeteria " Tecna: "The planet is full of technowaste, so I made a weapon and a transmitter." Sky: "And that's how you were able to make contact with Timmy's space probe. Good job Tecna!"

Tecna transforms to her Enchantix to take on a convict, and we have a minor cut:
Unedited: We see her popping out of a large purple flower, which quickly disappears. I suspect it's a reference to this (Royal Patraine transformation from Doremi)
Edited: After spending more time showing the Enchantix transformation (it happens again later in the ep), we do not see the flower.

Tecna gets captured by another convict:
Unedited: We see the prisoner brandish what seems to be a rather small knife.
Edited: The prisoner's knife has a larger and glowing blade in the 4K edition.

We have two instances of 4K removing the fairy dust bottle opening animation: Musa healing Bloom, then the girls giving the ice snake a dusting. In the former case, 4K!Bloom explicitly says that she can't transform earlier in the ep, and when she transforms after Musa's healing, she says "Musa's fairy dust must have fixed whatever was keeping me from transforming"

Rearrangement plus cut as Bloom and Sky leave Omega with the others:
Unedited: We see the ice snake chasing some prisoners, before cutting to Bloom telling Sky "Alright, let's get out of here." We see a panning shot of the two RF transports showing Bloom kneeling to the ground, before showing her putting a little bit of the ice from Omega into her fairy dust bottle ("I'm going to take some of this place with me"), then boarding the transport. This is then followed by a scene where Bloom explains: "Every world has its balance, and so in the Omega Dimension it is the white snake who maintains the order." Stella: "You know, I have no idea what Magix's balance is, and frankly I don't really care. I just can't wait to get back there."
Edited: We see the ice snake chasing some prisoners, before cutting to the a panning shot of the RF transports. Before the bit where Bloom kneels, the shot cuts to her telling Sky "What do you say we head for home?" before boarding the transport. The scene immediately then cuts to Alfea.

Back at the dorm in Alfea, Bloom and Flora talk:
Unedited: Bloom: "I'd like to spend some time with Sky. We could go to Sudi Lake together" Flora: "Oh, I can already hear the soundtrack (hums "Here Comes the Bride"). Bloom: "Flora, stop it. (lightly smothers Flora with a pillow) And what about Helia?" Flora: "Well..." (Cut to outside so we don't hear her answer)

Finally found time to do the comparison for 3x18... The biggest 4K edit in the episode is not very substantial:

Unedited: We see Flora's exam, then Musa's, then Tecna's.
Edited: We go straight from Flora's to Tecna's exam.

The most notable thing about this episode is that the Rai version has an edit compared to the Italian dub... Comparing the Rai version and the Italian version, it appears that the Rai version has cut out a second or so of the Negatus creature flying off towards Flora during the exam, as well as of Bloom falling from the sky after turning back into her casuals, then slowed down the remaining footage of each shot to match the air time The 4K version does retain the Italian footage.

Layla's guy issues and Musa's reaction:
Unedited:
Layla: I'm banning men altogether: No father, no boyfriends, no guys at all.
Musa: Whoa, that's extreme Layla
Edited:
Layla: Hey, don't worry, there's no way that I'm marrying anyone, much less someone that they choose.

During the Valtor-Bloom chase:
Unedited: We get a flashback to FG telling Bloom that her Enchantix power is incomplete.
Edited: This flashback is cut out, so Bloom's concern looks a bit out of place.

Ophir has been captured:

Flora: "Bloom, what do we do?"
Bloom: "Layla's Morphix power is holding the box and the Trix. It's her call."
Tecna: "Layla, think about it, if he's working for Valtor, it's playing right into his hands."
Flora: (over shot of Ophir being captured) "But if he's not, then we have to do everything we can to save him."

End of episode:
Unedited: Layla hates Ophir for sneaking off, and Bloom can only think about FG saying "I fear your powers will fail you when you need them most".
Edited: Layla is sure Ophir is working for Baltor just because he sneaks off, and Musa says "Let's go home and get ready for whatever Baltor will do next" over the shot of Bloom.

I prefer the original as it more in tune with how she is feeling, rather than building up the disappointment of her getting with Nabu/Ophir. Going from strong independant to more like the others

1) Considering you don't really get to see the full extent of Musa's test, I don't see much reason to keep it...
2) FG did say it, in the first scene immediately after the exam sequence.

On to 3x19:

Unedited: We first see the girls learning rhythmic dancing at Alfea. They're still in their dancing outfits while they're watching the news.
Edited: 4K cuts out the dancing scene, so the dancing outfits are completely without context.

Unedited: The girls are watching a news report about Cassandra and Radius' upcoming wedding. Stella rants about how she's apparently considered an undesirable person, and that Cassandra's hair is an abomination Bloom reassures her that they (the Winx) will help her, and "put proper hair back in the palace of Solaria"
Edited: Stella rants about how Cassandra has spelled Radius again. The scene cuts off after Bloom asks: "What's the plan?", omitting the footage that goes with the "proper hair" quip.

The girls talk to Nova about the party:

Unedited:
N: There will be dancers performing in the royal couple's honor. What are they thinking about?
S: About sneaking in to the party of course, and stopping my father, our king, from marrying Countess Cassandra.
Edited:
N: There'll be fire jugglers, dancers, and a famous flying biker act.

A review I read of the ep thought that Nova was ticked off after the above excerpt and Stella must have said something different, but in the Rai version, Nova is actually being pensive, not ticked off. (This same review also knew about the dancing scene being cut, and the reviewer was thankful it had been cut, calling it a useless scene... )

Layla suggests sneaking in as the dancers, and Stella turns it down:

Stella: Out of the question. Except for you and me, nobody else can dance to save their soul. They'd know right away we were impostors...
Layla: Yeahh...

Stella: No offense to Tecna, but her left foot doesn't know where her right foot is half the time.

Since Rai did show the dancing scene, we know that Stella is full of herself (it's Stella who gets herself tangled up in ribbons), but since 4K cut it out, Stella could be right for all we know

Unedited: We cut straight from Nova's suggestion to a close-up of Stella at the start of the next scene.
Edited: Nova's suggestion is followed by Layla's "Yeah", as above, and then a shot of a RF transport landing, before cutting to the Stella close-up.

Unedited: Stella shows the boys the flying bikers' uniform and adds: "You know, squeezing into that outfit, that could be the most painful part of this mission "
Edited: Stella showing the uniform is cut, and we only get Stella saying: "Fine, I'm in, but only if you guys promise to find us some really bad uniforms "

Bike training has rearrangement:
Unedited: We get the boys driving first, then a talking scene in the middle, then the girls taking their turn.
Edited: We get the boys driving, then the girls driving, then the talking scene.

Later that night:
Unedited: We see Layla and Musa talking in their dorm (with Musa asking Layla "How can you stay with someone who doesn't fully trust you?"), before cutting to the Specialists' conversation, then back to Layla and Musa again:

Layla: It's just that we're different, like, it's absolutely impossible to have a talk like this with a boy, you know? They always end up making some stupid joke... They're all like, "Big babies, isn't she cute?"
Musa: Not as cute as Ophir though.
Layla: And why are we talking about Ophir?
Musa: Ah-hah...
Layla: No comment, and anyway you already know I'm already promised to someone I don't care about. Time to rest, tomorrow's gonna be a very big day.

I suspect this is meant to add a little dramatic irony considering what happens later...
Edited: The 2nd half of the convo between Musa and Layla is removed, and in the remaining 1st half, Musa is made out to be very reluctant to follow through on breaking up with Riven. After the Specialists' conversation, it immediately shows Chimera waking up the next morning.

The girls get their uniforms:
Unedited: We're shown everyone getting their uniforms in gift boxes.
Edited: 4Kids cuts out Bloom reacting to Sky's gift box, and then Stella taking the box from Brandon, presumably to cut out a bit of rather iffy animation when (in the original) she randomly guesses her gift is a diamond Her comment is instead: "I didn't think you boys had it in you to do paper and bows", and it goes over the shots of Musa, Tecna and Flora getting their uniforms.

Stella confronts Chimera at the wedding:
Unedited: Stella: "I see you're all ready to take my place Chimera. But I'm afraid you and your scepter will never be up to the task!" She transforms, and Cassandra sees this and decides to send the guards after the girls, so the others transform as well.
Edited: Stella: "Well, at least I'm a real princess, Chimera!" (cuts off before the 2nd part of the above) Cassandra sends the guards after the girls and the girls transform together.

Fairy dust is edited as usual, but we get to see Stella draw her star this time.

For the first 2 parts it clearly makes more sence the uneddited version and the fact that Radius is spelled is implied given what he knows from when Stella gained her enchantix. Nova is pensive conidering what Stella is surgesting is danagerous and her informing the winx on what was going in would land her in hot water.

Until we get to Musa talking where the uneddited is better. Its all very much 50:50

Back after yet another long hiatus... It should be noted that the main issue behind the change in Stella's rant in the news scene is that it was necessitated by the earlier change in 3x08 about Radius pretending to still be under her spell Bloom does think that it's part of his plan, but Stella insists that she spelled him again

Moving on to 3x20... Musa and Tecna say goodbye to their pixies before heading off on a mission. Musa's bit has a one-second cut, but it's quite the nuance they cut out:

Original:
Tune hums some music while dusting Musa's room.
While getting her headphones, Musa knocks over a container with dust in it.
Tune: Musa, please, be more careful!
Musa: Don't worry, I'll clean it up later.

4Kids:
Tune is dusting Musa's room: So Musa, what mission are we going on today?
Musa gets her 'phones: We're not going, I am.
4Kids cuts out the container being knocked over, yet shows the rest of the shot of Musa getting her 'phones leading up to it.
Tune: That's not fair, how come I can't go too?
Musa: Fairies only. Maybe next time Tune, see ya!

Livy tells the bonded pixies about the planned raid on the pixie village. Digit decides they got themselves a mission, and bring along the pixie pets.

Original: Digit: "Little creatures of the forest, let's go ask the headmistress to raise the magical barrier." Problem is, the headmistress is with the other girls, outside the barrier, on their mission... The writers must have realized their error, as the next we see of Digit and friends, Digit reminds Lockette that "You found a passage that got us through Faragonda's barrier, but maybe this is too tough for you. I sounded like a fairy now didn't I? "
4Kids: Digit: "C'mon little creatures of the forest, let's go defend our village!" The aforementioned "save" is edited out of the relevant scene.
Nick: Digit does address the issue properly: "First things first: we need to find a way to get on the other side of this shield."

No significant cuts happen until after Zing and Glim get captured by Darcy. The next scene, of the pixies getting lost in spite of Lockette, loses quite a bit of footage...

Original: So the pixies get lost, and Digit reminds Lockette about finding the passageway as above. Digit decides to have the whole entourage take 5 to "relax (their) circuits a little bit"
Chatta: "The right path to where? That's not the right way to Pixie Village.
Digit: "First, we have to find Buzzy and Glim because they could be in serious danger!"
Amore: "Hey, listen up! I was just checking my magic sphere for directions, and I saw the Trix; they captured Buzzy and Glim!"
Digit: "We've got to rescue them! Come on everybody!"
(entourage heads off, with a seahorse pet riding Kiko)
Tune: "Hey, where did Livy go?" (heads off)

4Kids: The parts where BuzzyZing and Glim's capture is addressed are completely removed.
Digit: "Okay, just relax and get your bearings."
Chatta: "Just follow your instincts and I know you'll get us there. I know it."
Instead of Digit and Amore's lines, 4K repeats the earlier shot of Lockette: "Okay, we'll go toward the hollow tree, yeah."
(entourage heads off, with seahorse pet riding Kiko; Tune's bit gets removed)

Nick avoids the inconsistent name issue by having Amore mention that she's detected that the Trix are nearby.

The pixies find Darcy with ZingBuzzy and Glim.
Original: After Buzzy flies out of Darcy's hand, there's a whole scene involving Digit telling Amore to use her crystal ball to find where Livy went, the other pixies happening to overhear Darcy, and Livy revealing that she's on a tree, before showing Buzzy summoning her bees to attack Darcy.
4Kids: That whole bit is edited out, so it goes straight from Zing flying out of Darcy's hand to her summoning her bees to attack Darcy.

In the epilogue, FG tells the girls about Digit and pals seeing Valtor.
Original: After Digit points out that they got help from Kiko and the fairy pets, we see a seahorse banging himself against the barrier and FG has to lift it to let him in.
FG then points out that Digit's efforts produced the only useful intel they got today, that Valtor still has that box. FG says: "Digit, you really were a big help today", leading to the obvious "big" joke
Edited: 4K edits out the bit with seahorse and the barrier, and instead of talking about Digit finding their only useful intel, FG says she's going to give Digit and friends a medal (plus some of the footage of FG talking about the intel has been edited out as well): "Digit, you came through very big today "

For the first part I do prefer 4kids as it builds up the bit of tension that helps encourage the pixies to leave latter on.

I think the original is better for the second bit as it expains how they will get out and again this frustration at being left out due to being seen as 'weak'.

I again prefer the original as it is more relevant and giving them a medal is a bit over the top given everything else that happens in the first 3 seasons.

As for the nameing issue it seems fairly standard practice in season 3 given Ophir/Nabu, Baltor/Valtor and not forgeting Layla/Aisha
