Personally i love the trix, and they are more powerful then most people give them credit, i hate how they are always the sidekicks to the more powerful. Or somehow the trix defeat them. Icy can single handed own all of those fairies.

Icy yes as faries when encased in ice don't last long. Like when Bloom was encased in ice by icy.
The others stormy and darcy maybe buts its 50:50. However as i group no they at times lack the cohision and planning skills now everyone is aware if them to make as bigger impact, as they did in season 1. Also they lack power as to do anything big they have to get someone elses powers or be given a power boost

Also, the Trix are the only villains to not actually be defeated. I think that says something in itself.

They were defeated or ran away on numerous ocassions. Season 1 being an example.
