All right, lets clerify this for all time. 1.In the comics, the inhabitants of magix are called "humans" and "mankind". Okey, everybody, look at dogs. There are many types of bulldogs, dobermans, pups, all of different sizes, but you still categorise all of them as dogs. Same with cats, birds, fish. Fairies, witches, elves, and "the blue guy" can be distinguished as humans, SUBSPIECES of humans, or members of the "Homo Genus". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homo_(genus)2. You guys have missed the meaning of the "Alien" word. Alien means, as in my language, of somebody who comes from "OUTSIDE" of earth, not technically someone who has 5 legs, 4 eyes and 3 mouths. If I was born on mars by earth parents in the year 2050 and came to earth 50 years later, I would still be categorised as an alien, because I am from outside of earth. Even today, in Japan foreigners are called "aliens", and they have this ministry, which I DOUBT that they register people from Mars. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alien_registration_in_Japan3. In my opinion, all in the show are beings of the homo genus, who survived under different circumstances, like place and time. For Faragonda to know about fairies existed on Earth means that their ancestors and ours had some point of communication, like a portal, cause I doubt that the people in magix waited until spaceships to talk to each other, and that Sky's kingdom in only 1000 years old, indicates that Magix has a short history, meaning, and most likely, that after its creation, maybe the Great Dragon wanted to populate its dimension, and, which can explain the absense of magical beings on earth, and a the time of the rise of anti-witchcraft feelings, it "took" almost all beings asociated with magix, like elves, fairys, magicians, and so on. Or perphaphs, maybe Earth's magical beings created, with some power, the fire dragon and the magix dimension to escape the purges of their alikes from earth's society. That explains the different nationalities, languages, customs but same appereance as the people on earth. Well, I gave it a shot.

Well, until Nabu, only girls seemed to process magic. The boys, as specialists, seemed to be only taught martial arts, combat skills, and pilot training(althought I have some reservations on flying on their own so young, like they got their licence at 14). Then again, some men showed magic abilities in the very first episode(remember the car-parking), so why are the specialists left out?
Becoming a witch or a fairy much depends on the personality of a girl, weather she is sweet or mean(can't explain it otherwise), and by her parents. But again, some girls may decide to by-pass the whole magic education and learn a profession in something else. Besides, not every girl from all realms can become gurdians, right?
