I had drawn a great picture (compared to the other *pieces of art* I have made) in Photoshop, and FIVE minutes before I save, no electricity. Everything got turned off and I started crying.
Is there any way I can retrieve my work? I was drawing and erasing and painting and all that the whole morning icon_sad.gif

There are occasional times where Photoshop - or quite possibly some other Adobe program; I'm not too certain as my memory on the subject is hazy - might Autosave your work, though it could range anywhere from the instant the computer turned off to five minutes after starting the project. If your program copy has this ability, I suggest you check it's "Help" windows to see if you can access it. If not, well...

sorry to hear that.... icon_sad.gif i lost over 100GB of data once because my hard drive exploded (overheated or something) icon_sad.gif so i know how it feels, i was very frustrated and annoyed for weeks. I hope you feel better soon.

things like that happens, you're not the first or last, i think, if you try making this picture again it would be even better than the previous one, i'm sure.
P.S. things like that are happening to me all the time, the house of mine is an old one, and electrisity cabels in there to, so i truly can understand you...

I know how you feel, a year ago, we had international electricity faults every day. The power wouldn't go on for hours. The doorbell to our house wouldn't ring and the only way you could get in is by the battery powered door- but it didn't have a battery powered doorbell. So when I walked back home from school I couldn't get in, I had to yell. Which was embrassing...

Trust me I've been in the same position as you on my vaccations. I also cried, then I was suggested to save after every 4-5 minutes. I know for sure if whenever electricity goes out there is no way to retrieve what you have done. Hope that helped you abit. What country do you live in?

what about thunderstorms? i think they are pretty annoying because they can suddenly break things (there's been alot of them here recently). I remember a few times when we lost all power from our house for a whole day.

Well, once upon a time, the electricity company or whatever it's called had a strike, and we had no electricity for lots of hours per day, and mostly in night, when we needed it. That lasted about a week or so...
