I get this error when i try to log in, also my AIM doesn't work anymore either...

it said something about the 'hosts' file being messed up, but i 'fixed' it and still can't log in. I even re-installed it and still can't log in. Can anyone tell me what i should do do to fix this? icon_confused.gif I have the right password too so this is creepy. Oh and i even used system restore and it still didn't fix it. O_o cough cough... a punishment from god for chatting too much and being too nice XD I doubt this problem will go away unless i do something to fix it soon.

Try doing this if you are on a Windows XP:

Start Menu > Control Panel > Network Connections > Right-click on your network > Properties > Internet Protocol (Just select it, then click on the properties button) > Advanced > DNS > Add > Then just type in 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220

i have no clue, might have been that when i fixed my registry it somehow reseted the clock and that caused my msn to not work. i have no idea why it doesn't work if the clock is wrong.

Windows Vista (or 7 icon_razz.gif ) users can also follow this illustrated guide.

Although your screenshot looks like Windows XP. Try this if it still won't work:
  1. Open Notepad.
  2. Open the file "C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts"
  3. Delete everything inside that file.
  4. Save it.
  5. Try again.
