I don't understand that. I mean, I've never taken 2012 (or any of its previous incarnations) seriously, but still, hypothetically, why is everyone so afraid? If the world really does end, it does. We'll all go down with it, and there's nothing we can do about that. So why are people so scared? I mean, if we already know it's inevitable, why can't we just accept it, and focus on living life until then...?

...But that being said, I still don't believe it.

Im sure that if it does end it will be quick and painless for us, if not then that will be scary. I hope its just a myth/rumour, i don't believe in it anyways maybe 10% of me does.
