Honestly, I believe when users upload a Personal Photo, they should be given a option to put the link of the image they wish to use, just like when we to it for a avatar we find online. Please tell me if this is a good idea or not.

I agree. It always takes me a bit to find the photo I want in the black hole of iPhoto.
