An official announcement said that there will be a new Sailor Moon anime in 2013. 
Nobody is sure whether it'll be a remake or a brand new series. I'm kind of hoping for a remake, like Dragon Ball Kai, but a new series would be even better. *-*

I still find it weird, becasue first arc was pretty closely animated, unless they mean to cut the new challenge/demon appearance in each episode and want to make it only of handful episodes...
Still as far I as remember it's going to be a new voice cast, which is a pity, cause the old one was awesome. Not like the new ones can't, but the old squad kinda became legend...

Maybe they want to add more detail? (Outfits, the background story with Earth/Moon) I'm not sure ... I really need to reread the manga now. XD
They did! I thought the voice actress for Usagi would be the same, but I haven't really been checking the news whether that's still true or not. :s

I think the story was explained well in the anime, the only difference was Beril background, and as for the outfits they were dated even then, so I hope they are not going to use the literal copies here ^^'
Well since I don't know Japanese all info I come across is already half-official in best case, so I'm not going to claim it's true, it's just what I heard... (plus it would be logical cause after 20 years voice changes, so they would not sound same anyway).

I was wondering if You've seen it. Honestly the design didn't really change, but the art is so bad...
